Luke remembered that he could change the abyssal energy into some other sort of energy. Right now, the only other energy Luke felt was origin energy. Luke knew that if the abyssal energy signature leaked out of him, then so would the origin energy signature. The signatures of both energies would leak out due to Luke's weak control, and it would only be a matter of time before he was hunted down due to that. So instead of swapping his abyssal energy for origin energy, Luke attempted to change his energy into light energy by imagining origin energy as weaker. It took Luke a minute to change his energy. During that span of time, Eric started to get Irritated and said, “If you don’t open your eyes and answer in the next 10 seconds, we will cut you down where you stand.”

Right before Eric got to one, Luke opened his eyes. His eyes were now a golden color, giving off a pure and uplifting aura. Luke felt different, but that was something to figure out once he made it out of this alive. Luke responded, “Don't shoot! I'm not a demon. Some of my magic is like that.” With his energy now being origin energy, Luke asked, “What about now? Do I give off the feeling of a demon?”
Eric said to his team, “Come over here for a second. We need to discuss him.” After saying that, Eric turned to Luke and said, “Wait right there.” Then he turned back to his team and led them away from Luke. Once Eric and his tea had gotten far enough away from Luke, Eric said, “So what do we want to do with him?” Clark hesitantly said, “He doesn't seem like a bad person.” The mage, Estrella, yelled back. “But you saw the magic he uses. It gives off the same energy that demonic beasts give off.” Scott chose to stand with Clark and said to Estrella, “If he were a demonic beast, he wouldn't have acted right away and helped us defeat the goblins. He would have helped the goblins." Estrella still wasn't convinced and said, “What if he’s tricking us and wants us to lead him to a city?” This time, Eric responded to Estrella. “I understand your concerns, but Clark and Scott are right. He doesn’t seem harmful, but just in case one of us should be watching him till we part.” Estrella was visibly mad. Eric took Scott and Clark's side and yelled at the priest, "Mela, you agree with me, don’t you? You're a priest for god's sake; don't just stand there silently.” Mela meekly spoke up. “While I am a priest and I don’t like dark creatures, he did save our lives when, like Scott and Clark said, he could have helped the goblins.” Estrella was pissed, but seeing as how all her party members disagreed with her, she couldn't act and kill Luke. Instead, Estrella had other plans. Eric and his party walked back over to Luke.

5 minutes ago, before Eric and his party finished their discussion
Luke was thinking about what to do if the adventures had turned on him and attempted to kill him. Luke only had enough magical energy to cast five more spells. Before Luke could cast them, he had to turn his magic back to abyssal magic. Luke was on guard the whole time, ready to change his magical energy state and bind the mage with an Abyssal Bind, then burn the rest of the party with Flames from the Depths.
Back to the present time
Eric and his party started to walk back over to Luke. While walking over, Eric yelled over to Luke while laughing, “It seems we will be able to take you with us to the city. Sorry for acting like this. Hahah” Clark joined in, "Yeah, sorry, demonic beasts have just been more active recently.” Luke nodded at them, saying, “Don’t worry about it, fellas. Taking me with you to the city is all the Thanks I need. I've been dying in this forest for the past few days.” Eric told his team, “Everyone pack up and let's move out.” While the rest of the party was packing up Estrella walked over to Luke and started to almost interrogate Luke behind Eric's back. “I still don’t trust you. Why don’t you answer a few of my questions before we go to the city? First, where did you learn your magic? I don’t buy your story about being from a hermit magical family.” Luke was quick to think of his feet. "Yeah, my family might be a hermit-magical family, but we are on the decline compared to the more known families. The last family member able to use magic was my grandpa, who died last year. I set off from my family's land in hopes of regaining the honor we used to have.” Estrella seemed to have bought Luke's answer for the time being and moved onto her next question: “Now onto our next question. Why does your family's magic give off the same feeling as those dirty demonic beasts?" Luke knew this question was coming and had already thought about what to say. He decided that he would tell the stuff and spread more magical knowledge in this realm. “All you are sensing is the magical energy used to cast the spell I used earlier. It's known as darkness energy. Thats all that was recorded in what was left of our family's old records.” Estrella was about to keep interrogating Luke when Eric interrupted her, "Estrella, what are you doing? I told you to leave him alone. Everyone agreed he wasn’t a threat.” Estrella backed off, but still, this wasn’t the end of her. Eric turned to Luke and apologized, “I'm really sorry. I should have known she would do something like this. She doesn’t trust anyone, not even us.” Luke didn’t mind. He was exactly the same after everything he had gone through. He just needed others to trust him, so he replied to Eric, “It's no problem at all. I don’t mind it as long as she doesn’t attack me.” Eric's party had finished packing up, so Eric yelled, "Alright, everyone, let's get a move on and head back to the city.”
