Chapter 471

Orion furrowed his brow and glanced at the assistant beside him.

Lemira turned her head slightly, "Did I just hear someone call your name?"

"You must have heard wrong."

Orion shifted, blocking Lemira's view. On the other side, Sophia was surrounded by a few bodyguards and taken away.

Soon, the helicopter took off and left.

Sophia could only watch helplessly as Orion left with that girl, nearly bursting into tears.

She had just seen Orion being so gentle with that girl.

Sophia had never seen this tender side of Orion before, and she couldn't suppress the jealousy rising in her heart. After all, her lifelong dream was to marry Orion, become his wife, and have a couple of kids with him. But now, this dream seemed shattered by the sudden appearance of this woman.

She was determined not to let Orion go to anyone.

Sophia's assistant approached her, "Ms. Lemira, I managed to snap a picture of that girl, though it's not very clear."

Sophia glanced at the photo and immediately recognized who the girl was.

She had seen her before in the hospital, but had believed Thaddeus's denials.

Damn, she had been fooled.

Sophia fumed, "Find out everything about this girl, by any means necessary."

"No need for that," the assistant interjected. "This girl is Lemira. She's the one who was involved in that incident with your sister Susanna at school. It's been all over the internet recently." "So, it's her."

A sly smile crossed Sophia's face; things were falling into place easier than she thought. If Mrs. Amanda knew what this girl was really like, she'd surely oppose her.

She pulled out her phone and dialed Mrs. Amanda, "Mrs. Amanda, are you free for a coffee this afternoon? There's something I've been thinking about a lot and feel I should discuss with you." She had to let Mrs. Amanda, let Mrs. Eileen know what kind of person this girl truly was.

Only she was the right match for Orion.

Lemira and Orion took the helicopter to a secluded but beautiful restaurant.

The place was beautifully decorated, perfect for a date.

But Lemira, lowering her voice, commented, "This place doesn't seem very busy. There are hardly any customers."

"Probably because it's out of the way."

Orion didn't mention he had booked the entire venue.

After finishing their meal in silence, Lemira's etiquette at the table had improved significantly, feeling the weight of maintaining an image.

Orion offered her a napkin, "Fancy a walk?"

"Sure."

As they walked side by side, their hands unintentionally touched, causing her heartbeat to accelerate. The next second, he took her hand in his.

Seeing their shadows together under the moonlight, hand in hand, added a layer of intimacy to the moment. They continued walking in silence until Orion stopped and looked down at her, "Bored?"noveldrama

"Not really. I just think the scenery would be prettier during the day."

"They say it's more romantic at night."

As he finished speaking, fireworks suddenly lit up the sky, illuminating the night.

Lemira looked up at the fireworks, but Orion's gaze was fixed on her, "Do you like it?"

"I've seen beautiful fireworks before, but this feels different, probably because of who I'm with."

Orion, a bit nervous, said, "Lemira, I'm not as great as you might think. I can hesitate and back down, but seeing you hurt, I swore I'd never let anything like that happen to you again. So..."

"So what?"

"So, would you be my girlfriend? Let me take care of you from now on, okay?"
