Our guards clad in riot gear are creating a fast and secure access to our compound, while a helicopter with slowly turning blades is waiting for our wounded man. The walls and fences of the school are now proclaiming it a military security zone.
D: What possessed you to play Captain America?
P: I have gotten a new ability. Shooting things makes me strong. I had to fight.
U: You are supposed to tell us such thngs!
P: I didn’t know. Nobody has given me the handbook on this.
U: I see. I don’t like it, but I see. Now, let’s look what is happening here.
We get a replay. Not that difficult. Every channel is full of it, even the international channels.
ADDRESS OF THE CHANCELLOR TO THE NATION
My dear fellow citizens, in this hour of need and suffering I have come to you to bring a message of hope tempered by a need to bear a heavy burden and to embrace unprecedented discipline. The whole world is coming together to build a united front against a novel aggressor. We have unshakable confidence that in a few months we will forge a shield against those horrors that will keep our country safe. In the mean time we are suffering losses of our critical infrastructure and untold economic damage. Protecting the lives of our fellow citizens must have the highest priority. Our forces as you all know do not allow us to protect the whole country’s area. Hence we are busy to create our fellow citizens in peril paths to safety and temporary shelters.
To this end I am here to announce that from tomorrow on all exceptions on the seizure of hotels, second homes and schools are removed. Schools have been instructed to switch to remote operations over the internet or to close. This decision has not come lightly but our displaced fellow citizens need shelter.
Furthermore we are facing the loss of decades of investment into our country. We will not let all this work be lost to crime and obstinance. Therefore I am announcing now that from tomorrow on, looting will be a crime to be punished by a minimum of ten years of imprisonment without any exceptions or the possibility of early release. In addition I am directing the armed forces to aid in the enforcement of this policy.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
And now I need to announce a grave infringement on your autonomy. Research has clearly shown that monsters are able by means yet unknown to sense human presence, ultimately being driven to a destructive frenzy by it. In light of this finding our policy of evacuating whole towns always aimed at two goals. First and foremost we are protecting the life and health of citizens. Secondly it is our goal to protect the livelihoods of millions of citizens in the long run by turning our habitations into features the monsters are not interested in. For that to work they must be empty.
Hence I have ordered to cease the supply of electricity, gas and water to all evacuated areas. Telephone and internet services to the affected areas will be prohibited. Public services will cease to operate. We cannot let the obstinance of a minority doom the fruits of the toil of generations.
This country can weather this crisis if it can come back to the old virtues of courage, solidarity and discipline. May the next occasion for me to address you bring better news.
For a discussion of the ramifications of these news and reactions domestic and foreign we are switching to our studio in Berlin …
U: They are going to love us for that.

The ritualists and their immediate teams do not draw night watches. This morning we are going out with four armed cars and two wizards to check the route to the border more quickly. The northern shorter road to the genuine zone B is left to our recovered wizard, also with a heavily armed escort. Our resupplies including a lot of riot gear, razor wire and weapons arrived by helicopter early in the morning.
P: This is not effective. We spaced the rituals out in time to leave fewer gaps intrusions can happen undetected. We are burning through the supplies making errors due to haste for less effect.
D: I do not think that this is of any permanence. Get ready to be transferred. It just will take time to evacuate this village if you want to leave it inhabitable and do it with no casualties. They have facilities for seniors who can hardly walk and freezers need to be emptied and people need time to pack and convoys need to be organized.
Returning from an uneventful trip we find soldiers, busses and refrigerated trucks in our base.
