While I‘m walking through the overly spacious plaza, I realize it might be a good idea to actually check what quests I have.
There are three delivery quests, all within the town… three resource gathering quests, one for some herbs, one for some mushrooms and another for a flower… It says something on the note about proposing with it.
‘Why would they give me a quest that’s as important as preparing a marriage!? Yeah,. sure, no pressure or anything.’
And the last three were to kill a few goblins, some slimes and a single treant.
‘Well since I’m already inside the town I might as well to the deliveries first.’
The three delivery notes all had a small map on them, the maps had an X where I would pick up the item and an O where I should drop it off.
‘Hang on… These are all the same…’
The X’s on each of the maps were all at the same place.
‘Oh well. Makes it easier I suppose.’
I then finally reach the end of the plaza and enter the main road instead.
Well, enter the main road may not be quite right, since I climbed the nearest house and went by rooftop instead.
I then head towards where I’m supposed to pick up the deliveries, when I get there I see a building that looks like a shop, there’s large windows next to its door, in the windows there are weapons, vials of liquid and powder, various plants and herbs, and a lot of things I can’t even name.
Two thirds climbing and one third jumping I get down from the house I was on and cross the street to get to the store.
It doesn’t seem to have a sign above it so I don’t know what the store’s name is.
When I open the door and walk inside I can hear a small bell plinging from above my head, and when I look around I can see that there are a bunch of shelves in the middle of the room filled with all manners of seemingly miscellaneous items, and larger objects hanging on both the sides of the shelves, as well as covering every area of the walls of the room.
“Hello there.”
I look towards the back of the shop, and see the bald guard from back when I first entered the town sitting at a desk.
“It’s been a while, how've you been? Not that a Blessed Doll can even communicate.”
I’ve been good, you?
The man then stares at me with both eyes and mouth wide open for a while, he then steadies his head on his hand while seemingly being in deep thought.
While he does this I decide to walk up to his desk, when I get there I climb up on top of it (without phasing) and hold out the delivery request papers to him.
“Hm? Oh? You’re joining the adventurers’ guild? Well I’ve got the stuff in the back, wait here while I go get it.”
He then walks off to a door which I hadn’t noticed due to having been tactically hidden behind a pile of metal scraps and various other broken merchandise.
“Here.. you.. go!”
*thud*
He then comes back outside, now carrying a large, overly filled wooden box, and sets down said box on his desk, proceeding to dig through it.
“Let’s see here… One… Two... and…Come on... Where are these things when you need them? … Three! here you go little guy, these are the things to be delivered.”
He then hands me three small objects wrapped in cloth, each of them having a wooden tag attached to them via a piece of string.
“Those there tags say who will be accepting the items, the rest is on the quest notes.”
I grab the items, put one of them in my pocket and hold the others in my hands due to them not fitting in the pocket.
‘That gives me an idea… Though I should probably wait with that until I get outside…’
Thank you. Do I need to return here after I deliver them?
“Nah, just get them to sign the quest notes and the quest will be finished, after that it’s just to give it to the guild’s staff.”
Alright. And thanks again, bye!
I then turn around and walk back out the door while I hear the lizardman say goodbye from behind me.

When I get outside I walk into an alley again and decide to try what I’d thought of.
‘Book, is it possible to have items put in the pouch be put into the inventory?’
With a sound that sounds like someone crumpling up a piece of paper, I can see a blue light slowly travel across the strap and into the pouch, after the light stops glowing I can see the pocket say “Inventory” on the front, and the delivery items, as well as the three coins I had put there earlier, have now vanished.
The pouch is too small for me to put my hand down it, so instead I simply put in two fingers, and when I pull them out there's a copper coin stuck between them.
I put the coin and other two objects, as well as the quest notes, back in the pouch and start climbing the wall again.
When I get to the roof again I take out the three delivery notes, I check which is the closest start heading off that way after I put the notes back.
The house I arrive at seems to be pretty normal, when I go up to the door and knock with the note and the correct item in hand, a woman opens the door, shouts at me for being late, rips both the note and the item out of my hand and goes back in.
After having stood there dumbfounded for a while she comes back out and hands me the note, now with her signature on it.
‘Her signature is as bad as her personality…’
She then slams the door and I hurry to the next place and, just like before, it’s a completely normal house, this time however, a small kid opens the door while carrying a cat.
When she sees me she goes back in and comes back out with a pen, I then give her the note, she writes her signature and gives it back in exchange for the item.
All the while somehow still holding the cat.
When I get to the third house I immediately see that this one is different from the others, this one has the same color as the other, but in a more vibrant and bright hue, like it was recently painted, as well as having a fully fledged garden outside, filled to the brim with exotic looking plants and expensive looking objects.
When I approach the house I even spot a guard walking around the outside of the house, unlike the guards at the town entrance however, this one didn’t have cloth the color of fish scales, but rather the same vibrant color as the house.
Assuming that he’s a private guard for the house I walk up to him.
“Hm? what the...”
I then hand him the note.
“Oh? It seems the young masters necklace has finally arrived, stay right here and I’ll go get him.”
While he’s walking towards the door of the house I can hear him muttering something about the adventurers’ guild apparently having made cloth golems…
“...”
‘Well at least it’s better than being confused for a Blessed or Cursed Doll, that would’ve taken forever to clear up.’
The guard then comes out with a blonde teenage kid three times my height excitedly following in tow.
I hand the kid the note and he quickly scribbles his name on it, hands it back and takes the object, almost not even giving me enough time to let go before he runs back to the house, now hugging the object between his arms.
Not bothering to ask what it’s all about I quickly go back to an alley, climb the house, and then hurry on back to the guild.
When I get inside I see the goatman sleeping on his desk again.
*pok*
I finished the delivery quests.
“Wha...?” He replies, still very groggy.
“!” He then, just like last time, sits up straight and takes on the visage of a professional.
“Well done. Might I know what day it is? Since you finished already I must’ve been… *cough* resting for a bit longer than expected.”
Err… Well, I got the quests a few hours ago so it’s still the same day, I didn’t realize I had to keep track of the hours…
The man then looks at me with surprise evident in his otherwise flawless act.
“Earlier today…? You finished all three in a few hours...? E-excuse me for a bit.”
He then pulls a string at the side of his booth, the same one that he pulled to call on Cathy yesterday.
“I’m coming!”
However unlike yesterday she didn’t fall when going down the stair, and instead arrived at the booth without any problems.
“Hey Plush. Did something happen with the quests? Need some help finding your way around?”
“He claims to have finished all three of the delivery quests.” Says the goatman while readjusting his glasses yet again.
‘Those glasses can’t be the right size…’
“What!? That can’t be?!”
I take out the three quest notes from my pouch and hand them to her, she then immediately runs back upstairs.
What’s she doing?
“The three people you were giving the deliveries to were people who have sent many quests to the guild, Miss Lines went up to compare the signature on the notes with the ones we already have.”
Hang on.
“Hm?”
What’s...What’s your name?
“Ah! Err, yes… I… I seem to have missed the opportunity of telling you last we mee-”
“Bullshit! You probably just forgot!” Shouts one of the adventurers, interrupting the man.
*cough* “Erm… Quite…” He says while his cheeks turn a shade more red.
“Whatever may be the case, my name is Rico Orn, specifically Captain Rico Orn.”
Captain of what?
"That's rather private isn't it?"
“I’m back!”
We both look towards the stairs as Cathy runs back down, waving one of her arms while holding the notes in the other.
“Huff… Huff…”
“Well? How was it?”
“Huff… They’re all… They’re all cleared… Huff…”
Cathy then falls to the ground while panting heavily.
I guess she doesn’t have much stamina.’
“Really? Then… he completed all three deliveries in a day?”
Cathy raises the hand she’s holding the notes in and starts waving it.
“Yes goddammit! Now let me catch my breath!”
“Right… well, mister… Plush, although we will record how fast you cleared them and change your rank accordingly, we still can’t make you a proper adventurer until you complete the rest as well. Or at the end of the week. So keep going.”
Alright, later.
I then go back outside that guild and head back to the inn since it's gotten dark.
‘Wonder if that Grizz person came back and moved the shelf?’
