The piece of paper hits the table and by some magic slides over to the other side where a woman with colour changing hair shifting between blue and black. Her skin colour is also changing once its pale white, light blue and then black as midnight. Her eyes are colourless and reflect the skeleton standing in front of the table. She speaks with a voice that echoes with memories and lost token of ancient days. “Skelly you really want to give up a favour for a surprisingly weak human Player?”

The skeleton nods. She then continues “You know he is one of those Outworlders that break so easily when they come to Erat? He didn’t commit suicide only because of his trait. He got lucky.”

At that moment Hadris, Grim, Skelly, Bony or whatever you want to call him answered with a voice of a closing tomb. “Oora, you are right but look at the state of mind and his alignment.” Oora looks at the hidden factors using her God Eye ability. Her eyes reflect a broken stone tablet being repaired by a strange and exotic tools. When she looks further her eyes turn dull heroic gold, with red like blood constantly moving around her monochrome eyes with bits of silver merging with the blood red colour. A small flicker of a smile appears on her face.

Grim chuckles with the voice of a thousand wise men of long-gone universes. She looks back at him and says with a jolly voice of sailors “I can see why you favour him, I have never seen such a weak being break and reforge himself. He is killing his old self and failing to rid himself of his core aspects, yet it is somehow melding together. He wishes for grotesque violence, macabre deaths and the frenzy of battle. Yet his instincts live and hold him back. An interesting paradox of a hero’s soul who was too scared to be, who wishes to be a wicked.”

Bony looks to her and once again asks with the voice of a curious living child born from a dead womb “Will you allow him to reach the mainland?” Hadris skeleton hands clamp together, he who would be sweating if he had skin and glands.

Shaking her head, she asks with the memory of a thousand lovers waiting at the beach, “He is interesting and maybe I should take him for myself. After all I have so many wicked villains, kind heroes, broken men and women and happy children. I have never had a paradoxical hero who failed and wishes to forget his principles for the thrill of murder. Plus, it’s always a positive to knock you down a peg Elder, I know exactly what they did to you and that why you shouldn’t be doing this. Why are you risking what little you have left on this one idiotic soul?”

A sigh escapes Reapers lips “I will be honest, no games. This soul was never supposed to be taken because he was simply not ready or willing. I took him because he is halfway to insanity and has a possibility of redemption or damnation. He is my best chance at reversing the damage. Please I will give you my Domain of Doors if you agree.” Reaper gets on his knee as soon as he does that, he hears laughter of an old sailor.

“Alright Elder I will make sure he gets to the mainland but nothing more. I don’t want your domain I want the soul of a special individual and I want permission to resurrect him.” A dammed smile of a villainous queen appears on her face. Skeleton looks up at her mirror eyes seeing his face his blue fire dimming but still there. His mind starts calculating the soul of a hero who wishes to fall, his last hope to fix the mistake for the soul of the perfect hero who could threaten even the Last Born. His chance of winning fell from 2% to 0.19%, better than nothing but the game is stacked even more against him. A small nod and the deal is sealed a pact which is only known by them both and his sister. The old skeletons stands and heads to unleash a human who came close to breaking the world, at least this time Death has a his own champion even if he is weak, bloodthirsty and insane. A broken yet unbroken child who wishes for redemption and damnation in battle and peace.

Death leaves her room and looks at the stars and for once speaks in his old voice of a geek who asked for too much. “Shit, I fucked up everything. Well at least this time we have a chance to win."
