Kacper POV
I awoke with a sharp pain and a gasp of air. Blinking I open my eyes and see Quikly, rubbing y eyes I get up. With an annoyed voice I ask, “What is it?” Quikly hits the roof with the bottom of his staff and cocks his head to the side.
He asks quickly but firmly “Have you figured how to use mana?” He notices my confused stare. Then stares at me for a few seconds and shrugs “Did you at least try?”
Shaking my head, I bend down and grab my bat speaking loud enough for him to hear I say “No, but from my past knowledge and with some guesswork I think I have a theory.” Spinning the bat in my hand I keep on talking “Mana veins aren’t a real thing on Earth, but I still have access to mana meaning they have to be a part of me, that I couldn’t use until I came here. I am going to guess what you call mana veins is my nervous system and my sanity is my minds ability to deal with things that break reality like magic? However, I have no idea how the nervous system can be used for magic.” I look down to him hopefully.
Quikly gives me reassuring nod before answering “I not know what a nervous system is but I think I can guess its what you call mana veins. Yes, sanity is your minds power to understand things that don’t like a rock falling up.” He grabs his staff tightly and a white shimmer flashes from it and a ethereal glow envelopes him creating ghostly horns similar to a bull and bat like wings under his skinny arms. He lets me watch in amazement before the glow dissipates. I would bet a hundred pounds he was being smug. He coughs to get me out of my stupor before saying “The best way to train your mana is to imagine your abilities your willpower stat is good for this. Go and sit down and try to imagine mana I will be back when Minoris has flown around Majoris.” He turns around and heads of quickly walking down the stairs.
I stand there for a good minute before a smile creeps on my face “Magic is fucking real. I am so going to break the fucking world.” I quickly sit down on the animal furs and start thinking. Mana is most likely something to do with imagination so let’s start with that. I close my eyes and start to imagine myself. I try to imagine mana but whenever I do that my mind wanders as I imagine all the possibilities in this world. I reel myself in constantly trying to keep my mind on the right track. However, the harder I try the more frustrating it gets. I open my eyes when hunger pulls me out of procrastination. Hunger claws at my stomach, I decide to get up and walk around to get my mind off my problems. I stop on the edge of the roof and lean on the wall.
With building frustration, I shout “Fuck, this shit!” I calm down and look up towards the suns and start to ponder when he is going to come back. I can guess that Minoris is the small sun and Majoris is the bigger one. I watch Minoris as it slowly orbits Majoris and another thought pops into my head. Wait, he gave me a proper name for the suns do they have something to do with mana? No, most likely he didn’t mean anything by it. “I should get on with this.” I close my eyes and an idea form, a small smile returns to my face. In my mind I create a rough human body I slowly add a brain and spine with some basic nerves inside the body. Nothing spectacular but it should do. I start imagining impulses passing through the nerves, I keep on imagining it with every impulse being slightly brighter. After a hundred failed try’s my right arm stiffens, I open my eyes surprised as a small glimmer of blue appears at the end of my fingertips. As quickly as it appears its gone, I shake my head wondering if this was a dream.

I accept the notification and go back to trying to level up my mana manipulation. My mana levels jumps from Initiate to Rookie. I open my eyes and start laughing like a maniac until I turn around and see Quikly sitting next to the fire. I cough and pretend I wasen't laughing. Quikly chuckles, but keeps on staring into the ash and asks "What is your mana level."
I scratch my head and answer proudly "I have just reached Rookie rank." Quikly slowly turns his head to look at me. He gets up and walks over grabbing his staff. He catches me by suprise and hits me on the head.
"What was that for!" I ask a I rub my forehead.
"That is not possible you have only been here for one and half Minoris." He looks at me like I was a boasting idiot.
"I am telling the truth, I think it is because of my knowledge about human anatomy and mental projection. I was able to use my nerves to send mana through my body to my hands and legs."
Quikly looks at me with a scrutinising gaze "Very well, I think it is time to help you get a class start swinging the club."
I look at him say "Why the hell would I do that....... right i can level up my club skill." I nod to him and grab my bat. I look back at him as he starts mumbling. A silvery flash of light and a mist emerges from his eyes. The mist coalesce into a grey is freakishly tall. Instead of legs it has a misty tail, the semi-humanid body that is is partly solid. The grey humanoid has bright emerald green eyes and weird toothless smile. I shiver as I see the weird smiling spirit, ghost? I am not sure. Quikly looks at me and points at the spirit. He says with a bit of mirth "Swing your club at the Tel Hasir" The spirit giggles creepily in the background.
I turn to it and smile swinging the bat "This is going to be fun." I don't notice that Quikly is shaking his head and mumbling under his breath.
