Hell Yeah! That's great and all, but I had to get this arrow out of my arm. The feel of it jammed in there was, disturbing.
[ Lifetime MC have reached threshold.

Hope I can streamline more Functions. Spend less time thinking, more time doing.
[ Lifetime credits have reached threshold.

Oh, that would surely have some good gear. Need to peruse that later.
I lifted my arm to check the arrow. Yeah, of course, it was barbed. I used the tip of the Plasma Spear to cut it near the fletching. Laid the Spear aside, and pulled the shaft through from the other side.
Butterscotch, for some reason I tasted butterscotch? Did pain taste like this?
I decided to try one of the potions. Sure my regen could handle it eventually, but I wanted to be 100 percent quick as possible. I had work to do.
[ Basic Tier I Mimirian Gear has been unlocked in Purchase Options. ]
Nice. I could already see myself sailing the space lanes plundering and raiding.
[ Basic Dark Horde Goblin Gear has been unlocked in Purchase Options. ]
Eww, who needs that trash? Get it out of there. Boo! Edge lord shit. Chuuni-bait.
The potion went down smooth, tasting like a smoky whiskey. Tingles erupted everywhere. I felt everything closing up, and a refreshed sensation flowed over me. Nice, energy surged.
I started divesting the corpses of their worldly goods. I sort everything into three piles; weapons, armor, everything else. Then I dragged the bodies onto the base and laid them out as neatly as their conditions allowed. Out of sight of the breach, of course. I figured the The Lab Guys might want to study them.
I tossed the piles of gear into the back of the Van, Harold gifted me. It had survived with only some light scoring from some plasma bolts. It was white without any back windows, even on the rear double doors. The sliding side door opened up on a back bench seat.
I collected my BGH and dropped mag for the Avenger. Couldn't get my katanas out of the last two assholes. Oh well easy come, easy go I suppose.
Interesting side note: both sides carried pouches with tiny 1 ounce ingots of three different metals, I now had 20 Blue ones, 40 Silvery ones, and 10 that were somewhere between golden and coppery. I was guessing, but since both groups had them they might be currency in the greater Multiverse or Omniverse.
After thinking about it, I gave up a full set of Hoard Collector, Dark Horde Scout and Dark Horde Warrior Gear, to leave in the Apartment. I had to gather up my clothes, wallet and gun cases anyway, so no big deal.
Amos would get a kick out of the Mimirian stuff. I'm sure they could whip up something cool from what they'd learn.
I left the plants hoping someone would take care of them. Sad, but better for them. Riding in a vehicle or hours, possibly days would suck for them.
All packed up, I was thinking about hitting the road, then I remembered to raid the food supplies. Stole two cases of water bottles and three plastic tubs full of various snacks and goodies. Wouldn't last long with my appetite, but every little bit helps. You could call me the Bottomless Pit.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
I stripped out of my armor vest and vambraces, chucking them in the back seat. The Under Armor and boots would be passable to casual observation. Might hold up in a hotel room somewhere and change later.
It was about 11:00pm when I finally got in the driver's seat. It was an oversized roomy seat for most people, a little too small for me. A couple of minutes were wasted getting the seat to go lower and further back, for my legs, It was a big cargo van, but I still only had an inch or two of head clearance, bumpy roads were going to be a joy. Beggar's, Choosers. Eh.
About an hour later, I passed Lubbock and kept going north and a bit west. Why that way, don't know, it just felt like the way to go.
The driving let me zone out, not really thinking just enjoying the night, which to me was bright as day. Oncoming headlights were a problem but I just rolled with it. I did start noticing weird patterns of colors in the sky and on the ground. Mana Sight, I figured. Trippy.
Had it really just been a couple of days, it already felt like years. Crazy. When your old life is the same day in, day out, your perception of events change, I guess.
I was also thinking about what I was going to do with my new found wealth. Oh, I was absolutely going to integrate another World, but I did want to get setup somewhere new first. At least thirty minutes to the nearest town. Wilderness, wildlife, it sounded great, part of me was excited for new things, and to get to use my abilities. Befriend some animals, start a grove, whatever that was.
I better buy some knowledge, later.

Looking good.
Let's go ahead and get them now. I Check the Guide Options and find a couple of things to buy. Basic overviews of Druids and Groves.
[ Druid are Keepers of Balance.
They balance the needs of their Tribe, with the needs of the natural world, and the forces of the Otherworlds.
Druids have many Philosophies on how this might be achieved, then maintained. They exhausted all options to understand their Worlds, and their place in them.
They developed many Rituals and practices with which to heal or harvest, such as Terraforming and Biosculpting.
They are one of three Classes that are able to manipulate Lifecodes.
No one knows where the first Druids arose, but most Multiverses evolve some form of their existence. ]
[ Groves are Anchor Points for moving and correcting Ley Line networks. Almost exclusively grown from plant-based life.
Used by Druids in Manaforming and Envirosculpting. Usually to correct damages by wars or other non-natural disasters.
They are also used to connect to other Groves, creating portal hubs. ]
Whoa. That's a lot of responsibility.
Wait, Ley Lines, aren't those Magnetic Field Lines? I wonder how or if they're related.
I might be able to Terraform a world someday, or just more local effects?
Lifecodes sound like genes, sort of. Images of mutated monstrosities fill my brain. Filed under Be Careful with That.
This was nuts. Exciting. I thought they just liked trees, and went around sharing wisdom. Zotting people with Lightning, and Shapeshifting, I supposed that Biosculpting could be related. Maybe.
There was something off about my thoughts, I was too frenetic. Ideas flitting to and fro. Ah, the potion! I'm high.
At 6:30 am the Sun was just peeking over the horizon, I wasn't far from where this road would cross the border of New Mexico.
I found a large Truck-stop Gas Station compound with a motel and a couple of restaurants.
I decided to stop at the IHOB. International Home of Breakfast. Sounded great.
There was a small town a few miles back and the residents appeared to come here to eat. Because it was a lot busier than I would have expected, this wasn't a problem though and I did get a booth.
I had to wedge myself in but it was fine. The inevitable staring began.
My waitress was shocked but got over it quick, even started cracking jokes. Her name tag read Sue.
After a while she hauled out my order.
I got the Large stack pancake combo, French Toast Combo, and the Smoked Sausage combo. That ended up having 6 scrambled eggs, 8 pieces of Bacon, 6 pieces of toast. I also added three sides of Hash Browns, extra crispy. I got milk to drink and coffee.
Sue left me a carafe so I would have plenty of coffee. Laughing about the pile of food.
While I was demolishing the food, my daily quests came in. Late today for some reason.

Recite a poem, What the fuck was that? Why would that be part of a quest?
I finished eating, then paid leaving a 100 percent tip. Maybe brighten up Sue's day.
I got into Van, thinking about the road ahead.
