CHAPTER 149 – THE PROMISED MOTORCYCLE TRIP

LYSANDER FARADEISS

Hiraya’s parents beckoned us to join them at the breakfast table, where they had prepared moringa bread and delicious beansprout soup. As we indulged in our meal, I couldn't shake the feeling that the elven couple was observing us closely, their smiles never faltering.

"Is something on your mind, Mrs. Misteltein?" I ventured, noticing her gaze fixed on us.

"Nothing at all," she replied, her smile growing even wider as she rested her chin in her hand.

Suddenly, Mr. Misteltein's eyes welled up with tears. "Finally... after all this time, praise be to Goddess Exceria!"

Confusion knitted Hiraya's brows. "Dad, what's wrong?"

Ignoring his daughter's question, Mr. Misteltein continued to shed joyful tears.

"Don't worry about him, dear," Mrs. Misteltein interjected, her smile unwavering. "He's just overwhelmed with happiness."

Hiraya folded her arms, a pout forming on her lips. "You're both acting so strange. Just tell us what's going on!"

"Alright, my darling," Mrs. Misteltein said, her smile serene. "You two have been quite affectionate lately, haven't you?"

Hiraya and I gasped simultaneously. "What? No!" she protested, cheeks ablaze with embarrassment.

"We couldn't help but hear your... loud noises last night," Mrs. Misteltein revealed.

"Eh?!" Our faces flushed crimson with embarrassment.

"And those marks on your necks speak volumes," she added with a knowing smile.

"Ah?!" Hiraya and I exchanged guilty glances before reluctantly admitting the truth.

Mr. Misteltein's declaration echoed through the room, his tears of joy turning into a boisterous proclamation. "At last! My tomboy daughter has blossomed into a proper lady! I can finally depart this world in peace!"

"Dad!" Hiraya shot up from her seat, her fists clenched in frustration. "If you keep embarrassing me in front of my boyfriend, I swear I'll—"

"Boyfriend, huh? So it's official that you two are dating then," Mr. Misteltein interrupted, a knowing twinkle in his eye.

"We're not dating!" Hiraya protested, cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

"Wait, we're not?" I interjected, surprised by the sudden revelation.

"W-We are!" Hiraya quickly corrected herself, forcing a smile before turning to scowl at her parents. "Enough already!"

Observing Hiraya's uncharacteristic discomfort was a rare treat. Usually the one causing embarrassment, seeing her flustered and bashful was a sight to behold. It added a new layer of allure to her personality, revealing a side of her I hadn't seen before.

After our entertaining breakfast, we found ourselves in Hiraya's front yard. She geared up for our ride on her motorcycle while I sketched a summoning circle with chalk in front of her house, a grin spreading across my face.

"Your family is quite the amusing bunch," I teased, my tone light with amusement. "They have a knack for keeping you from spouting those sex jokes and getting you all flustered."

Hiraya let out a sigh, placing her hands on her hips. "Yeah, it feels like we've had this conversation before, and you're just trying to get back at me."

"Haha, sorry, not sorry," I retorted with a hint of sarcasm.

With the summoning circle complete, I clapped my hands together, infusing my fingertips with mana. Tapping the ground, I transferred my magical energy to the chalk-drawn symbol.

"Summoning Spell!" I declared, and in an instant, Hiraya's sleek black and green sports bike materialized before us.

Hiraya chuckled with delight, applauding the manifestation. Then, she hopped onto her bike, flashing me a bright smile and gesturing for me to join her on the back. It felt a bit embarrassing for a guy like me to be a passenger while the girl took the reins, but my lack of driving skills left me with no choice.

"Come on, hop on!" Hiraya invited eagerly.

"O-Okay," I stuttered nervously as I struggled to lift myself onto the back of the motorcycle.

As Hiraya revved the engine, we embarked on our grand tour around Yggdra. We cruised down the highway near the plaza, the wind whipping past us. After a few minutes, we arrived at the coast.

"Hold on tight," Hiraya instructed as she picked up speed along the coastline. The sparkling sea stretched out to our left, while to our right, lush forests and majestic mountains provided a breathtaking backdrop.

I wrapped my arms around Hiraya from behind, breathing in the sweet scent of her golden hair. It was intoxicating, and I couldn't help but revel in the sensation of her soft body against mine. Being this close to her filled me with a joyful excitement that made my heart race.

"Honey?" Hiraya's voice interrupted my reverie.

"Yes?" I replied, my mind still lost in the moment.

"Did you bring your staff? It's... poking me from behind," she said, her tone gentle and a touch embarrassed.

Confusion clouded my thoughts for a moment. I hadn't remembered bringing any weapons, and my hands were occupied holding onto Hiraya. Then it dawned on me—I was inadvertently poking her with my arousal, likely stirred by her irresistible scent.

"I-I'm sorry, it's not my staff. It's... something else," I stammered awkwardly. "I can't seem to control it."

Hiraya blushed, forcing a laugh to cover her embarrassment. "Ahahaha."

"Hahaha," I echoed, though my laugh felt strained as I struggled to compose myself. Despite my efforts, I couldn't suppress the physical reaction she incited in me.

"By the way, honey," Hiraya began, attempting to change the subject. "As a sage, shouldn't you be using a staff instead of a katana in battle?"

"Stabbing people is quicker," I replied with a grin. "Sure, a staff enhances magical abilities, but in my previous experiences, speed-casting spells proved more effective than lengthy incantations."

"But why did you only use it to create a field of flowers?" Hiraya pressed, her tone curious.

"Because I wanted it to be perfect," I confessed.

I sensed Hiraya's blush intensify as she shifted uncomfortably, and I inwardly cursed my inability to control my body's reactions around her.

I turned my gaze to the right and spotted a pristine white-sand beach stretching out before us, devoid of any other visitors. Hiraya guided the motorcycle to a stop near a large rock, and as she removed her helmet, her long golden hair cascaded down her back, dancing in the gentle breeze. Her scent, carried by the wind, enveloped me in its intoxicating embrace.

"I just had an idea. Why don't we invite the whole squad to enjoy a day at the beach? I'm sure everyone would love it," Hiraya suggested with a smile.

Unable to resist her allure, I leaned in and planted a tender kiss on her lips before responding, "Sure, honey."

"Great! I'll organize it and make sure everyone brings the Windwalker. Ah!" Hiraya gasped as she realized I was lifting her off the bike as if she were a princess. "L-Lysander? What's gotten into you?"

"I'm going to carry you, princess. So please, indulge me," I replied, a mischievous glint in my eyes.

"Honestly, honey, you're such a wild one. Let me at least prepare myself first—Wait! Ahh~" Hiraya's protest was cut short as I swept her off her feet and carried her towards the beach, her laughter mingling with the sound of crashing waves.
