CHAPTER 145 – YGGDRA

CHAPTER 145 – YGGDRA

LYSANDER FARADEISS

We soared through the skies with the help of my Trailblazer Dragon form, swiftly making our way to Yggdra, the Land of Elves. The journey, just a two-hour flight, rendered the Windwalker's services unnecessary. After all, this excursion was meant solely for the two of us.

As we approached Yggdra Island from above, a lush expanse of greens and forests greeted our eyes. Dominating the landscape stood a colossal tree, its branches reaching towards the heavens. Plateaus and forests dotted the island, while the city proper lay sprawled beneath us.

"Land in the hills over there, on the western side. We'll visit my family's house," Hiraya instructed, pointing ahead.

Without protest, I guided my dragon form to descend upon the verdant hill. As I shifted back to my human form, a refreshing cool breeze greeted me. Below, trees rose like natural skyscrapers.

"Follow me!" Hiraya exclaimed, her voice brimming with excitement as she motioned for me to follow.

With a smile and a nod, I fell into step behind her, descending the hillside. Up close, the tree buildings appeared remarkably innovative, a testament to elven ingenuity in creating eco-friendly habitats. The air was filled with the melodious tunes of elven songs, and colorful party flags crafted from leaves adorned the village.

We halted at a stump-like house, where a golden-haired elf bearing a striking resemblance to Hiraya was busy hanging clothes. The elf appeared to be the same age as Hiraya, and her blue eyes sparkled upon spotting her daughter.

"Hiraya?" she gasped in disbelief.

"Mom!" Hiraya cried out, rushing forward to envelop her mother in a tight embrace.

"Darling! Hiraya is home!" her mother called out joyously.

Suddenly, a male elf with white hair and golden eyes emerged from a nearby bakery. He swiftly removed his floury apron and joined his daughter's side.

"Hiraya! You're back!" he exclaimed, pulling her into a warm embrace.

"Dad!" Hiraya exclaimed, returning the hug with equal fervor.

It was a heartwarming sight, witnessing Hiraya's reunion with her family after such a long time. Though a pang of envy stirred within me, I couldn't help but feel genuinely happy for her.

Hiraya's smile widened as she presented me to her parents. "Mom, Dad, this is Lysander," she began, her tone mischievous. "My sex slave."

"Good day to you, Mr. and Mrs. Misteltein," I greeted, extending my hand to Hiraya's father before turning to her mother, who appeared flustered by her daughter's unconventional introduction. "Just to clarify, I'm not her... um, companion in that sense. Rather, I serve alongside her as a dragonoid partner."

"You should see his dragon. It's quite impressive," Hiraya added, her playful tone escalating the jest.

"Oh my! Is that so?" Mrs. Misteltein's cheeks flushed even deeper.

"Why don't we continue this conversation inside?" Mr. Misteltein interjected, giving me a friendly pat on the back. "I'll close the shop early today and treat you to our finest bread."

We settled around their sturdy wooden dining table, where Mr. Misteltein graciously served us piping hot red bean taiyakis and buns, accompanied by delectable cream cheese doughnuts. Mrs. Misteltein offered us a bottle of fizzy red tea, which instantly became my new favorite soft drink.

As we indulged in the delicious treats, Hiraya regaled us with tales from her days at Tasty Town's Magic High School to our victorious battle against Gazelle Lockwood. Engrossed in her storytelling, the hours flew by unnoticed until the darkness crept in.

"Why don't you stay the night, Lysander?" Mrs. Misteltein kindly offered. "It would be a shame to spend money on lodging elsewhere."

"That's a wonderful idea," Mr. Misteltein agreed. "After all, someone as brave as you is practically family. In fact, I'd like you to marry my daughter!"

"W-Whaaa?"

Before I could even respond, Mr. Misteltein suddenly dropped to his knees, pleading earnestly. "Please, marry her!"

"Mr. Misteltein, please, slow down," I cringed, taken aback by his sudden fervor.

"My daughter, she's quite unique," Mr. Misteltein continued, his voice filled with parental concern. "She may be beautiful, but she's always been a bit of a tomboy. Always getting into trouble, picking fights with elven boys when she was younger. She's obsessed with war strategy books and dreams of becoming a ranger one day. She's like an old man trapped in a girl's body, with her crude jokes and all. We even worried she might bring a girl home one day!"

"Dad, seriously?" Hiraya protested, her pout betraying her playful demeanor. "I may be a tomboy, but I have my girly side too. And my feelings aren't bulletproof, you know."

"Exactly!" Mr. Misteltein exclaimed, gesturing to his daughter. "That's her in a nutshell!"

"Point taken," I muttered under my breath, exchanging a knowing glance with Hiraya.

"Now, darling, let's not rush things," Mrs. Misteltein intervened, gently pulling her husband away from me. "We can discuss their marriage tomorrow morning. They're staying with us for a week, so there's no need to hurry. Let's prepare their room for now."

"Right," Mr. Misteltein relented, finally rising to his feet. Together, he and his wife disappeared into the guest room to make preparations.

As we sat alone in the dining room, sipping our tea, I couldn't help but smile at the amusing encounter with Hiraya's family.

"Hahaha, don't worry about it. Your parents are quite entertaining," I reassured her. "I can understand their desire for a new elven clan, especially since you're their only daughter."

Hiraya offered me a apologetic smile. "Yeah, they have this dream of expanding the family line. It's been their hope ever since I was born."

I chuckled softly. "Well, if they're so eager, why not have more children themselves?"

Hiraya's expression softened. "Actually, my mother can't. Her womb is sterile. I was a miracle."

"A miracle?" I inquired, intrigued.

"Yeah," she confirmed, rising from her seat and walking over to a wall adorned with framed pictures. She selected one and turned back to me, revealing a photograph of her parents alongside a blonde lady Dragon Knight and a male dragonoid companion.

"That's Madam Reina Fleuret and Richard Astherson," she explained, flipping the frame to reveal their names handwritten on the back. "Twenty years ago, they visited this island. My parents cared for them, and in return, they blessed my mother's womb with a soul."

My eyes widened in realization. "Wait, are you saying..."

Hiraya nodded, her smile radiant as she nodded toward the picture. "It's just another piece of evidence that I might be the reincarnation of Goddess Exceria after all!"

Her ears twitched with excitement, and I couldn't help but be swept up in the mystique of her heritage.
