aspen leaned towards the vent, a few baby hairs falling from her ears. She saw a plain white room filled with what you might find at a regular doctor's office. "I thought he was a psychologist?" she thought to herself. It was empty. It was so empty it gave her a sense of peace. she slowly moved on to the next room. Where she saw a younger looking girl in a hazmat suit standing around grapes of paradise and other plants aspen never saw before. she couldn't help but to let out a sigh and after realizing how loud she was being she put a hand over her face in fear. "Well, fuck I'm not a very good spy" she thought while stepping away from the vent so when the girl looked up, she wouldn't be seen. Aspen waited until she herd footsteps out of the room. Aspen once again looked. Upon gazing she saw these plants hovering in the middle of a transparent bubble. It was once of the most beautiful things she ever layed her eyes upon. she watched the bubbles slowly move but the plant never moved at all. Aspen looked at her bag carrying her notes along with everything else. she slowly took it off her shoulders. Trying her best to not be herd. she decided to not spend all her time staring a plants no matter how much she wanted to.
The next room she was looking into had L.E. Verden's desk and bookshelves. complete with a phone sitting neatly upon his extremely sparkling and clean desk, so clean it was like he never used it and a maid cleaned it every day. there were no scuffs or marks on the dark deep wood desk, Aspen thought of her work desk at home and thought to herself. "It couldn't be me." all of sudden while Aspen was looking for clues on what he did in this building because she hadn't yet seen that even looked close to a psychologist office. Verden walked in, sweating and rubbing his forehead and he paced the room twice and then looked up and started sniffing. "Oh, come on I don't sink" aspen thought to herself. and moved away from the vent. Verden sat his desk and pressed a button on his phone. "I know this is probably going to be a weird question. but has someone let my wife in my office? it smells like her in here but not quite like her at the same time.
ahh, thanks away." and hung up the phone. he then very slowly while looking all around grabbed a brief case and left.
Aspen made the decision of hoping out of the vent so she could move freely. that way she could get from room to room easier. Her thinking relied on the idea that they had to leave sometime and then she would be free to do whatever she wanted. look wherever she saw fit. Witches didn't smell like humans every bloodline had a very large smell coming from their skin at all times. Ancient blood lines could be smelled from a mile away not giving the gift of stealth to any ancient bloodline unless using a masking spell, which exceed her knowledge. Aspen hadn't gotten that far in her study's and since it was never a problem, she never had to worry about it. Aspen's absent mind also didn't think to pounder about how she was a witch and none of her family was. Aspen wasn't stupid but had let her grief get into the way of logical thinking. After lifting the vent aspen slowly floated to the floor. she tip-toed to his desk. she opened the first drawer, and it was empty. the second and third were the same. frustration overtook her mind, and she sat in his chair. She started second guessing herself if it was wrong or right but the constant reminder of the grapes of paradise and whatever that girl was doing just made her more curious.
