L.E. Verden had his hand in a lot of trades when it came to faction 1 & 2. He had a PhD in psychology and stood in as the doctor on murder trials. He would examine them to see if they were fit for trial. In return he would get test subjects from his new strand of drug plants, whatever it was that he deemed necessary before they were to be put to death on live tv. It was no one's business but his. He had an office in town, that to the public looked like a normal psychologist's office but whenever someone called to make an appointment, they were somehow all booked up for the foreseeable future. His assistant, would sit at the front desk of the office taking calls while he was away and getting each of his experiments ready and the rooms in which they were held in. She had the strongest sound barrier magic in the entire world. When L.E. Verden did choose someone to work with him he made sure they were the best at their trade. He also paid them very well, so well in fact they wouldn't even dream of betraying him. There wasn't much that could pull him away from his cozy home, with all of his favorite plants on earth, unless it involved perfecting them, keeping his status or experimenting on criminals.

L.E. Verdens combat boots hit gravel as he stepped towards the courthouse. His bushy eyebrows furrowed as he grew concentrated. Mary from faction one approached him. "VERDEN!!! it's such a pleasure to see you darling." she said excitedly. "As to you Mary" Verden said annoyed. "Oh, has the case got you down? You've never been one to let your emotions interfere. I did what you asked by the way I hope no love is lost between two good friends." she said with a smile but a calmer voice than before. "Ah, no love lost Mary. Thank you. My emotions aren't getting in the way. Plus, I have already cleared her for trial. I guess it would be inhuman of me to feel nothing, it's a shame she does seem like normally she would be the nicest person you could meet." Verden explained. "Yes, Verden although the court doesn't care if you're a mother, a business owner, a teacher, or a good person. Crime is Crime. Thus, Murder is Murder." she told him; lowering her voice before opening the court doors that were as big as trees. as they took their seats on one side of the court room faction one sat, On the other side of the room sat faction two. "Why is a child in here?" L.E. Verden asked Mary. Sitting on the faction two side sat aspen, she wore quite a big sign that read "Hi my name is Aspen and I'm here to learn". "Verden she's around 20 years old." Mary replied disregarding him. "Yeah, A child. this is a murder case." Verden said with hate in his voice. "We have high hopes for her. We have plans." Mary said growing annoyed with Verden's displeasure.
"Order" Judge Lisa yelled before sitting down.
"Today Britany Langer is on trial for the murder of Hansel Langer, Faction two please release the statement." The Judge said loudly for the entire courtroom to hear but never looking at Brittany. A tall half-dead looking officer rose and spoke "At eight p.m. Brittany put their two children down for bed and killed Hansel in his sleep because she had caught him having an affair the day prior. This sent Brittany to an awful state of mind."

"Brittany you will die on tv in two days, until then you will stay at Doctor Verden's office. Your children will be handed over to your sister. CASE CLOSED" Judge Lisa yelled, "That's it? just like that? No, I'm a good person he deserved to die!" Brittany started screaming and crying. all of sudden her body locked up. The half looking dead man walked over "Brittany, I have put you in a restraint spell and I will not take it off until we get to the doctor's office and put you in a holding chair." L.E. Verden found himself rubbing his forehead in stress. The mushrooms were to be tested for the first time and his subject was going to be completely unstable and worried that a sedative would mess with the results. Verden looked up to see aspen's face white as ghost with a tear running down her face slowly. He sighed and whispered under his breath. "I knew she couldn't handle it".
"What was that dear?" Mary now directing her attention to him. "Nothing Mary. I will see you later." he got up and walked out not sure what his next plan of action was. He knew once his assistant saw the girl with tears running down her face defenseless and scared that she would give her a sedative. Verden made that extremely important for her to remember always shoving the idea down her throat. It was something he did for all his patients. Once reaching the office doors he let out an unnecessarily loud sigh and whispered "fuck."
He made his way back to the medical room in which he planned to keep her. she sat tilted back, her limbs and body restrained to the chair in metal. He let the neck, arms and wrist go. there was still one at her waist, pantie line and feet.
"Now if you choose violence today, I can put those back on you without even having to be in the same room do you understand?" Verden told her.
she nodded her head. He had two different strains of mushrooms he had to test today, one was his original batch and the other was the one that had the mysterious eye growing out of the soil. He made them into stuffed mushrooms.
"Your Lunch is about to be brought in and you have but no choice to eat it." he told her, and she nodded.
Verden pressed the intercom. "Bring in the Mushroom lunch A". He turned a tried to muster a comfortable smile,
moments later his assistant brought in a nice hot stuffed mushroom. It took an hour for Brittany to finish it. Afterwards Verden had walked up to catch up with his assistant. A whole hour had gone by which was plenty of time for the mushroom to take effect.
Verden grabbed his clipboard and started humming as he walked down the hall. He walked in keeping his eyes locked on his clipboard in hopes that there were no mistakes in his writing. When he raises his head, he sees Brittany with a third eyeball coming out of her forehead blink like a normal eyeball. He screams at the sight of it dropping everything in his hands.
"How is she supposed to go on tv with a fucking eye on her forehead. This is so bad" he thought to himself.
