L.E. Verden sat on his porch in a rocking chair. He rocked slowly back and forth. He watched his bubbles feed his crops in his yard.
In this moment contentment washed over him. His wife walked outside holding her pregnant belly, sipping iced tea while handing him a glass.
The sunlight made everything Beautiful. "You know nothing out here is more beautiful than you dear" he told his wife. "oh, hush Verden" she replied before walking back inside.
Off into the distance he saw a man on his path leading to his front steps. The man was sweating.
His black suit didn't do him any favors. His briefcase was small. "Can't judge a man by his briefcase Verden" he thought to himself before
standing up. It took the man several minutes to meet Verden who didn't move a toe. By the time this man got to his front steps he was drenched in sweat and panting he clutched his knees and raised a finger. "One moment sir" the man told Verden. Verden grabbed his chin and rubbed it. Verden brought his hand upon his hips and took a deep breathe. "Looks like you don't get out much, in fact young man when is the last time those feet saw dirt? Regardless I couldn't care not for whatever you are selling. Matter of fact it's quite rude to walk on a man's property that you don't know, if I didn't have a pregnant wife, I would take those feet from you and hang your legs off one of them their tree's." there was a long silence before the man raised his head with a smile. "I am not just a man L.E. Verden, and I don't think anyone in years have talked to me so bravely."
"Why the fuck is that?" Verden asked because Verden thought the same thing about himself. "I am from time management, and I'm here to let you know that there is an open law case on you. There are looking at your timelines very closely. Well, if they find something. Your Feet will never set foot on your farm again. And that wife of yours will have to raise that child on her own. And if you get slick at the mouth at me the next time, I come out here, Maybe I just tell the factions I don't like what I see. The next thing you know police are in here searching your stuff. They may not find anything, but god wouldn't it be convenient now would it." The man said with an evil smirk and finished with a Wink. "I never got your name?" Verden asked with a smile. "My name is Todd." then the man disappeared quicker than you could snap your finger in thin air. Verden was extremely mad. he went straight to his basement and when into the last room at the end of the hall. His Study. he said at the desk and picked up the phone. "Hello, I would like to see marry in faction one please" he sat and waited. After a few moments He spoke. "What is this? what's going on you said I would never have to worry about the law again?! And this Todd guy.... kill him."

"It's just for the books just so it doesn't look like we favor anyone. I've already looked at the data they have on you. They have nothing." Marry said with no tone at all in her voice. "It better be that way cause if I ever find out that you're trying to do something slick or sly. I will kill all these plants in here and I don't have the recipe wrote down anywhere. so, all these fruits that make all your lives easier will never be found again. You eat my plants like human mom's drink wine. Are you ready to let your wine go marry. I don't like people snooping around. Fix IT." Verden was yelling by this point. "You're the last person we want to upset Verden" Marry told him before he slammed the phone down. Verden tried to calm himself. he slowly walked upstairs. He sat in the kitchen doorway. thinking about how the only reason he did any of it was because of his family, she stood making dinner. she looked back and smile with love. "Is everything okay Hunny?" she asked him her cheeks rosy. "With you by myside always, are you okay dear? how are you feeling?" Verden looked her. Her face looked tired.
I hope she doesn't remember her past life. I'm still scared her daughter will come along and she'll get all her memories back, but if I hadn't saved her and brought her, she would've died... i have no regrets. everything will be fine Verden thought to himself. holding back tears from reaching his eyes.
"Dinner will be done soon Verden you just go relax and I'll come get you." she spoke to him in a happy tone. "Okay dear" Verden replied then stepped out his front door.
He took a deep breath and put a barrier spell on his entire land. he decided a long time ago doing any business or having anyone coming to the house would be risky and foolish.
