Disclaimer: All of the information presented here are from the Hasan Imperial Public Library located in the Capital city of Hasan Empire, the Razmut City.
Items listed are the compilation of verified information from the books in the library that our team had gathered over the course of a few hours, this will be regularly updated and we are in no way implying that every information presented here is accurate and could possibly be false even, but all of it are from the verified books of the library, further testing might be needed in some areas, but these are every verified basic information that we were able to procure for the Eternal Library. Descriptions will be as concise and brief as possible to avoid excessive info dumping and separate articles will be made for each of the categories and races down the road.
[Creature Categories: There are quite a few categories that we are able to find out in the Tree of Life and there are possibly more, but as of now, these are the only information we have been able to find.
Humanoids: These are the standard natives of the tower, according to the books, every single humanoid all possess mana since this is a vital component of life, and each person is essentially made up of mana.
According to the records, only Humanoids, or at least those who are Humanoid enough, (i.e, half humanoids, quarter blooded humanoids) are able to become climbers, since an average humanoid is not strong enough to compete or fight against any other average creatures from different categories, so leveling up through climbing is a way to bridge those gaps in power, which was added millenniums ago by the Administrators according to the Lore.
Races:
Humans: Classic humans, same as us in every way, except they all have the capacity to manipulate mana to enhance their physical capabilities or cast magical abilities, they are the most widespread of all humanoid races in the Tower, forming majority of the nations and empires with the highest population among all the other races combined.
Elves: A race of blonde, slender humanoids with pointed ears, according to the books, they have an isolationist culture and have natural affinity for elemental magic, they dwell within forests, and thanks to their abilities to talk to trees and animals, their houses are made on top of trees by the trees themselves, growing in such a way to allow them to have a house among the branches. (They are Vegans)
Dwarves: Short humanoids who are masters of crafting and smithing. They are masters of metallurgy and can make interesting technologies and contraptions that are not yet invented by anyone in the Tower. According to the records, even when it is not their natural domain, they dwell among the mountains for the ease of access to metals and other crafting materials.
Orcs: Tanned-skinned humanoids who have a distinctive tusks from their lower jaws. They have a nomadic tribal culture where their tribe stay from one place for a few months and then move to another. They are recorded to have immense strength and tough-to-penetrate skins. There are multiple tribes of them roaming the Tower from all sorts of floors.
Giants: Towering humanoids standing between fifteen to thirty meters in height. They have a warrior culture and their society runs on a clan-based system. Each clans are away from each other but it's said that they frequently do cultural exchanges. Giants are natural born warriors and they are often hunting dangerous games and monsters to add to their trophies, not only that, they also are said to have the ability to shrink their bodies, although they still appear way taller than other races.
Humanoid Subraces:
Demi-humans: Demi-humans are humanoids with certain physical traits or abilities of animals, they are extremely varied and their natural domains and culture heavily differ from one another.
Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.
Examples of them include: Werewolves, Harpies, Nagas, Fishmen, Lizardmen, Ratmen, Centaurs, Minotaurs, Vampires, and more.
Einherjar (God-kins Infromally): These are the family members of High-Rankers, said to possess more power on average and they all possess what's known as Bloodline Powers. We don't have much info yet about this matter and other information regarding them require higher clearance in the Imperial Library.
Animals: Animals in the Tower are way different than the ones we know in the real world yet very similar. The evolution of creatures here are every different than the real world does, not only do they evolve extremely fast based on environment and circumstances, their process of evolution is entirely different and only animals are capable of constant evolution for some unknown reasons, meaning, creatures of other categories might be unable to do so, no matter know long of a time passed. They can evolve during their lifetime and be an entirely different creature altogether by the end of it.
Animals are comprised of docile and gentle animals that are said to have been always been domesticated since the dawn of time and never harm others. Most animals are omnivore and can alternate between meat or plants depending on what their humans feed them and none of them ever have hunting behavior and won't kill another animal in the wild. All of them seem to coexist with humanoids, for example, the docile and lovely dogs are said to be the ancestors of wild canines, while cats are the ancestors of large felines such as lions, tigers, etc. The exact reasons while they are automatically domesticated since their dawn of existence is not clear and those information also require a higher clearance in the library.
Their evolution are influenced by environment and circumstances, if they are always in the care of a humans such as being pets, they don't evolve at all and remain as they are, but if they are stuck in the wild and have to fend for themselves, they can evolve into an entirely different creature in just the span of days with added appendages or bodily functions.
Animals are recorded to dwell in Gray Zones.
Animals Subraces:
Beasts: These are wild animals that had evolved from regular animals and now possess hunting behavior and predation tactics. Unlike regular animals, beasts are also omnivores but heavily favor meat over plants. They evolved to posses extreme strength and other functions to be used in the wild for protection and for hunting and predation. Example of Beasts include gray wolves, Lions, and Tigers.
Monsters: They are evolved animals just like Beasts but instead, they awakened magical abilities or learned to harness their mana. Just like Beasts, they favor meat over plants and together, they usually act as the predators of regular animals in Gray Zones, culling and controlling the population, but both also hunt each other or weaker members of their subraces. Examples of Monsters include Dragons, Griffins, and Krakens.
Hybrids: We don't really have any information on this subrace other than this is supposed to be for creatures with characteristics of both Beasts and Monsters, but we searched all day and we can't find a single animal listed as a Hybrid.
Spirits: Spirits are incorporeal creatures, anything which are living and were born from the spirit realm are considered as spirits, we don't have much info of the spirit realm as of now but we've already found some books regarding it. Spirits are documented to be extremely varied and they have a number of types and there is two listed Subtype for them.
Types:
Regular Spirits: Just ordinary spirits, they don't represent anything or from anything specific, they are simply spirits of various kinds with no specialized origin unlike other types.
Elemental Spirits: Spirits who represents their elements and these spirits are scattered into the world to represent entire things such as forests, volcanoes, lands, and currently are theorized to amount to millions all over the Tower.
Light Spirits: These are spirits that are documented to exist in the far and brightest corners of the spirit realm. We have no other information regarding them at all besides the aforementioned one, even those required higher clearance.
Heavenly Beasts: These are listed as the strongest and final evolution of spirits, not much is known about them but there are legends we've found that depicted what seems like the Four Symbols from chinese mythology as members among this type of spirits. So we theorized that they must be some kind of animalistic spirits.
Spirit Subtypes :
Dark Spirits: Not much are known about these and there's no books, even at higher clearances (said by the librarians) exist any dedicated book regarding this spirit subtype, not even legends or myths. But some librarians told us some details about them, that they exist outside of spirit realm and inhabit what's known as Shadow Realm or Void.
Demons: Not to be confused with Dark Spirits, Demons are characterized by their malevolent, negative mana that also live in the spirit realm. We don't have much info regarding them too other than there are two types of demons: Lower and Upper Demons. We are not yet sure what both does, but we've already found some books regarding them, this will be updated later on.
Additional: There are mentions of Twelve Kings in the myths and legends of the Tower and they are said to be the most powerful demons.]
That's all for now! We're really doing our best to gather more info, but for now, this is the basic guidelines for the variety of creatures in this game. If you've found new kinds of creatures, just reply to this post and we'll try to add them to the in-depth articles in the future.
