As he felt the constant flow of mana coursing through him from the previous constructs, he quickly released more than fifty spheres of metal with the size of a basketball each in all directions. Normally, this would've exhaust him immediately, but since there is a constant amount being transferred to him, he will regain back those lost mana in a few moments.
Those metallic orbs began dancing around while they are coated in the same red energy as his metal arm before. These are simple but highly destructive drones that uses hard hitting blows and when coated in the red energy, they are able to fly in any direction and speed through a few hundred meters in just mere moments, normally, he can only make fourteen at max so that he won't exhaust too much mana, but if he did use every mana he have, he will be able to make up to twenty-three, but since he's getting such influx of mana from absorption, he is able to make this huge number of these things. They hover around him as they constantly shift positions but he wasn't done yet, all over his body, he made hundreds of sharp tendrils as thin as thread. He will give everything to overwhelm Marcus' senses so much that he will be so disorganized that he can't instantly make those force fields whenever he uses Ultrasound.
Andres dashed towards Marcus who's hovering a few meters above the ground, he instantly commanded his drones to rush to the latter to try to damage him. The orbs all flew with dazzling speed as they are converging towards Marcus, a direct hit of this can take out a large chunk of his body if ever one hits.
Marcus kept utilizing his telekinesis to send out forces that plummets down heavily into the ground, destroying those areas to bits one at a time. Andres is able to barely dodge these attacks but Marcus kept throwing different applications of telekinesis towards his opponent, while the drones managed to arrive, they aren't able to penetrate the telekinetic barrier.
Using his other hand, Marcus began effortlessly plucking out trees by batches and began throwing them all at Andres using his telekinesis. He kept dodging these attacks while trying to amplify the drones' output to try to destroy Marcus' barrier, even though that barrier is very resilient and is frustrating to fight against, he can't afford to get hit by these since it will halt his momentum on this offensive approach.
Not wanting to be stuck here any longer, Andres used Shunpo and teleported to one of the drones situated behind Marcus, he commanded all his tendrils to all attack Marcus, while most were blocked, some are able to penetrate inside due to their sharp and extremely thin nature.
"Got ya!" Andres smiled like a maniac, He quickly transformed these 6 tendrils inside the barrier into small mouths and also created vocal cords capable of using Ultrasound, however, this is not the same level to the Ultrasound he's able to make with his vocal cord and this is limited in power, so it's unable to incapacitate Marcus. He transformed his hands into metal and blasted Marcus' barrier—which was significantly weakener now—with the red energy, sending the latter to spiral down to the ground and since the tendrils are latched on the barrier, he was dragged and they both came crashing down.
Before Marcus had hit the ground with a loud thud, Andres released the highest amount of Ultrasound possible from the 6 tendrils. This made Marcus scream in pain as he was stunned by it, his barrier deactivated as he laid on the ground defenseless, grasping his ears and head. "Aaaaggggghhhhhh!!!!"
Seeing this, Andres took advantage of this window immediately, he coated his right fist with mana and a burst of red energy was expelled from his elbow, propelling his punch forward with great power. This struck Marcus square in the face with intense force, his head was buried inside the soil as cracks all around them appeared in an instant. Andres stood up, slightly panting and walked a few meters a way. "This isn't finished yet..." He mumbled. He commanded all his drones to hover above some 50-ish meters in the skies, he raised his hand and brought it down with commanding force, making all the drones to fall at their top speed one by one with a small delay each, just 3 seconds later, the first drone hit and many more came, repeatedly bombarding the area where Marcus is.
This kind of attack, although seemingly extreme, is not really going to be deadly for someone as strong as Marcus, he is from the De Vera family, a family of Psychics with over two millennias of history, that family had produced a few High-Rankers by now, and because of that, even though Marcus isn't a direct offspring of one, he can still be considered an Einherjar—or a God-Kin as it was commonly known—because of him being a member of that exalted family.
An explosion occur at the site and as the dust cleared up, Andres' eyes widened.
"Shit…!" All of his drones were crushed by the heavily injured Marcus and formed into a sphere of crushed metal, he threw it to his enemy then pulled out a large chunk of soil behind where Andres is standing, forming a wall behind him. As Andres tried to dash to the side, Marcus was already there, he was taken aback. Since he can't teleport anywhere as his mana on the metal of the drones were overridden by the guy's' mana, and since that is one of the main conditions for him to teleport with Shunpo, he wasn't able to do so anymore.
Marcus' hand was finally on the same level as the latter's face and he was blasted with powerful force. Luckily, he was able to form some sort of defense at the last second on his entire front that looked like plate armor, but made of hardened bones and flesh, especially on his face. It shattered his defense to bits and his body suffered severe damages, his bones were shattered especially his ribs and his nose caved in. Had it not been for him absorbing Marcus' constructs constantly, his defenses wouldn't had been enough to stop such force and it would have killed him right there and then if that scenario did happened. In pain, he did his best to recover the damage faster due to his mana supply but Marcus was already near, bloodied and bloodlusted.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Wasn't he supposed to be scared by now…? He thought to himself. Marcus already know that Andres brings danger, and yet, he never tried to run after that bombardment despite getting damaged heavily.
Since mana is no longer a problem, Andres began spamming laser attacks towards Marcus while running and the other throwing telekinetic force as projectile while also plucking out trees and earth as he began to fly up. He is able to deal with the lasers and dodges them despite them being extremely instantaneous projectiles in a straight line.
Andres ran in zigzag pattern and finally flew with his feet being boosted by mana in the form of red energy. He opened many boosters across his body, allowing him to move at any direction through the air but making sure not to damage his poncho, even until now, his priority during defences is his poncho, the poncho have a strong rune embedded onto its inner linings, it can recover from any damages as long as a single thread of it exist, and it have two additional effects, firstly, it gives Andres enhanced defenses against any form of damage, this basically halves every damages done against him, and this is what kept him from dying alongside his defences when he was blasted up close by Marcus, it's second effect is it allows him to gather and replenish him mana double the rate compared to his natural one, this allows him to better last longer during fights and sustain himself, while all these are indeed powerful effects, these are not enough when facing Marcus' full power, and since this poncho is from his grandfather, he makes sure not to damage it much even though it can practically recover from any amount of damages, this is just the only item he was given, he wouldn't want to tarnish it too much as a respect for his deceased grandfather.
He flew by Marcus as they engage in hand to hand combat, Marcus doesn't have remarkable skills and was receiving hits left and right, but sustains not much damage even against mana infused punches from Andres all because he kept creating these barriers around him instinctively.
But while not having any technique, Marcus' attacks are heavy due to him simultaneously using telekinesis with it and this makes it even more powerful than Andres' punches. During their exchange, Marcus managed to land one lucky hit and this sent Andres straight down to the forest, forming a somewhat wide crater. Using telekinesis, Marcus crushed the soil around and had them cover and collapse onto Andres' position. He continued hovering above the trees as he watch Andres be crushed, even when he can't see it, his telekinesis is basically an extension of his sense of touch. So when he finally was able to crush Andres inside, he was able to feel the crunching of bones and flesh.
Feeling like the threat was neutralized, Marcus, still unconscious, just began levitating there for a few seconds, staring where Andres was a few seconds ago with no emotion, his eyes glowing white still.
He hovered there, with the only stimuli left being the breezy winds passing by him. The smell of destruction, torn and burnt trees filled his nose, he was unconscious yet Marcus seemed to be scanning his surroundings seemingly as if he's reflecting on the damage he caused. His powers are uncontrollable due to its immenseness, and this uncontrollable power became an alter ego that always seeks destruction, yet this alter ego who took over seemed to be contemplating—or maybe not, and he's just not moving simply because of the lack of perceived enemies or stimuli, even Marcus himself doesn't know what this alter ego truly wants, he never wants it to be out if possible. After a few months since coming out of the teachings of the mountain monks to control his powers, this the first time he unleashed this beast.
While the teaching of the monks to find inner peace were helpful to a significant extent, it was not a permanent solution, he needs to conquer this monster, he needs someone who can allow him to, someone who can contain the damages he's able to cause while unleashing this beast to try to fight it. This problem is the one thing the De Vera family had against him which led to his exile, and even until now, he hates the feeling of not being able to control completely his very own power, which led to not only his, but others' suffering and death.
But suddenly, a feeling of deep fear and despair arose on the unconscious Marcus' very core, he desperately tried to hurriedly form a barrier.
"Sleep…" Andres calmly uttered, it was not even something normal people are able to hear since it's through using Ultrasound but that's what he said, and for Marcus, this was as clear as day. His nose and ears bled and his eyes rolled back, the incomplete barrier he tried to create cracked and collapsed as he plummeted towards the solid ground. A loud thud was heard followed by a cloud of dust kicked up when he landed violently.
Andres followed him towards the ground, descending softly and formed a metallic chair by the side. He sat there, catching his breath and began waiting for Marcus to wake up. Luckily he was able to pin a small metallic needle on Marcus' jacket when he attacked him with the tendrils and due to its small size, Marcus luckily didn't noticed so he manipulated the needle to go behind him and this allowed him to teleport behind Marcus at the last second. "Shit… That was gramps' specialty, that was a gamble… I was able to do it after all, on such a small object… But fuck, I don't have the same kind of timing sense as Jose…" He facepalms as he looked at the blue, clear sky. "And I can only dream being able to do it just like gramps does…" He mumbled to himself while sitting down in the forest mostly demolished due to their battle.
That kind of attack he did basically gave Marcus brain damage and bursted his eardrums. But since Marcus is a powerful psychic, his brain will eventually be fixing those in maybe 30 minutes, he researched in the Neural Network that letting a psychic recover themselves from those kinds of attack are better for them than healing them directly, it is better to simply just wait and protect them while they are unconscious.
