Chapter 69 - Sol Levante

Despite the Ego Union's full power being released, the heir of the Namgoong Clan stood there fearlessly. What's more, he smiled. "Hah, in that case, I'll also show you something."

Yun then retrieved a brown medicinal ball from his inventory. With a few sparks of lightning from him, the ball bursts into a bright sparkle.

Zzzzt—!

Yun began showcasing to them the levitating ball of lightning. "This is a Lightning Pill. It's filled with large amounts of Qi, cultivated over time. If I eat this… what do you think will happen?"

However, Jose awkwardly scratched his head. "Eh, Qi?"

"Oh, yeah… You guys are not from the Martial Domain. Anyways, watch." Yun quickly swallowed it and as it travelled down his throat, sparks of lightning began firing off around his body.

Zzzt—!

"Haaah… Here I go." In an instant, Yun vanished from Jose's vision and reappeared in front of him.

"His speed increased!"

This time however, Jose was confiedent. with his increased speed, strength, and activated eye powers, he intercepted Yun's upward slash by placing his foot onto Yun's hand, stopping it before it gained power. Using that as leverage, he jumped and kneed the latter onto his chin.

Bam—!

With quick thinking, Yun transferred the momentum towards his own attack. He spun around as his reeled back and delivered a spinning kick towards Jose who's still in the air. He blocked it thought with his knee and arm before throwing Emilia forward as he was blew back.

"Throwing your weapon for what—?" Yun's eyes widened as Jose suddenly teleported in front of him.

"Instantaneous movement—!?"

Jose then immediately threw a hook at him. Since there was a wall behind him, he had to side step away. But as the punch struck the wall behind him, he was stunned.

Crack—!

"Seriously..." He exclaimed. it wasn't powerful enough to outright destroy the durable, self-repairing walls of the facility but it was strong enough to make a large damage on the wall bigger than when he had first sent them flying earlier.

"Looks like I struck a gold mine with you two." Yun smiled as lightning flicker off of him and he dashed forward once more.

He stabbed forward and Jose parried it, making Yun's blade slid across Emilia's but the former immediately delivered a gut punch with his free hand which Jose was unable to block in time. Jose grunted as he endured the pain and when he reeled around his sword, ready to slash downward, Yun swept his legs.

However, Jose quickly caught himself with his hands and delivered a quick kick to fend off Yun before springing back up with a flip.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

Yun delivered a straight kick but Jose does another backward flip and threw Emilia forward.

"That again..." Yun immediately blocked to anticipate her blade but shockingly, she

remained stationary before she was able to strike Yun's weapon.

Taken aback, Yun's mind blanked a for a second, allowing Jose to teleport to Emilia and punch him on the face. He then quickly grabbed Emilia and slashed at Yun who was blown back by that punch.

Shlk—!

Jose drew Yun's blood and he continued for another. However, Yun's lightning shot forward with a wave of his hand, forcing the former to block with Emilia as he infused Aura onto her blade.

Bzzzt—!

Jose then threw her forward again before he spun three consecutive times. With each spin, he kicked with his right leg, sending three explosive bursts of wind towards Yun as their trajectory curved towards him.

"Wind this time?" He was quick to parry Emilia, sending her flying upwards and he was prepared to sway to the sides to avoid the bursts of wind when they converged into each other and detonated, blowing him away. But since the facility was not that wide, he was blown back towards a wall some distance away.

Bam—!

"Damn!" But despite the obvious pained expression of him, Yun still smiled.

Jose then teleported to Emilia with Shunpo and grabbed her to charge up an attack using Aura from above.

Fhuuoom—!

He slashed downward, releasing a wave of Aura towards Yun who was still recovering his footing.

"Seems like I need to be a little more serious."

With his unoccupied left hand, Yun raised two of his fingers. "Supreme Art: Qi Domain."

As soon as he said that, the wave of Aura that was quickly approaching him dimmed down and disappeared shortly before it even grazed him.

"What was that!?" Jose exclaimed in nervousness as he drop back down to the ground.

Yun smiled. "Do you not know about Supreme Arts? There's there four of them, how don't you know of its concept?"

"I... Never learned of something like that..."

"That's fine. I'll just teach you all you need to know. For example, this, a Supreme Art born in the Martial Domain that uses Qi as its foundation. This was made long ago, A thousand years ago perhaps... It was inspired from the De Vera Family's Psychic Constitution. Qi is its primary component, so you wouldn't be able to use this without first knowing how to use Qi, which is by mixing your own vitality and mana into a 1:5 ratio. Easier said than done, though. And even among the Martial Artists in the Martial Domain, it was uncommon despite the application originating there."

"What does Qi Domain do, then?" Jose asked.

"Firstly, it sets up a perimeter around the user which follows them as its center. Right now, it is me, so wherever I go, that perimeter will follow me. That perimeter is mixed with the user's own vitality and mana, which allows them to be one with the ambient mana. This means I could freely manipulate the mana around me akin to an extension of my own body. Allowing me to do, this." Yun jumped and as if there was an invisible platform, he began walking mid-air.

"The mana I control is invisible to me, but since it's like a part of my body now, I can feel it without needing to see it. Secondly, since I've integrated part of my being into the surroundings, any mana that was foreign to my signature will be passively neutralized, though I can hasten the process by focusing on it, such as with your earlier attack with Aura, and even now."

Jose looked at Emilia's blade and saw that the Aura around her blade were getting dimmer and dimmer.

"You can stop your Union for now, Aura will be useless now."

Jose clicked his tongue before extinguishing Emilia's Aura and she transformed back to her humanoid form.

"Your power during the Union is formidable, but you have not even halfway mastered it yet, you still have a lot to learn. Regarding your use of Aura, we'll wait for Samurai to come back, for now, fight me properly and work on your teamwork. Got it?"

Emilia looked up as she asked. "Why do we need to wait for him? And how will he even help us with it?"

"You'll see. Heal." As the bleeding slash wound on his body quickly disappeared, Yun opened his arms and taunted, "Enough chitchat, charge at me."

"This guy...!" A nerve popped on Emilia's forehead.
