Book 1 : The lock, chapter 19 : A sea of fire

The march to my core started, but something is confusing me.

As it turns out, it seems like I am not getting killed by the 5 old monsters.

Somehow only people from my village are trying to kill me

Looking away from the fire I could the other 4 monsters are setting up tent with their own people.

None of them were normal though, not only do they not dress in the traditionel red, I had more then enough other clues.

The blue robed group:

I know Emelia is always cold, and just loves to sit in the bright sun but this? ...

This group dressed as if it's the middle of the winter, ready for the heaviest rain of a lifetime.

Their blue coates thicker then I have ever seen or imagined possible.

The yellow robed group:

Not the weirdest group, until you see them walking past a normal sized guard.

And I swear they even leave footprints in my cave.

The white metal clad group:

Anyone can tell it's normal to have white glittering metal.

Our guard's look like they they are dressed compared to that.

The green robed group.

This makes me frown a bit, they look like they are dressed in whatever they could scavenge.

Just some branches braid together, with moss on some of their clothes.

That description changes tone when add in that the green cape is glowing a bright magical green.

----------------------------------------

After that destraction I look back to the fight in my main tunnel.

You would think that it's dangerous to look away in a fight, and yes, you would be right.

But I don't think it matters in this case. It's just a sea of fire.

I found out that Tim's special arrows are not just pretty and for my birthday.

If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

Our [Alchemist] has more then a salve against a burn, he has things that cause everything to burn as well.

Even the knights or the monk with his [Northern Shaolin style] are quickly racking up kills.

it's not going good for me, Amelia's gransfather isn't even cursing.

As they are about to enter my core room I close my eyes, the sea of red reaching everywhere but here. The fire's heat could still be felt even with my eyes closed.

...

My eyes have been closed for a while now ...

As I open my eyes again, I see an opended box in front of my crystal.

On the box it says Ruby, Inside is a giant red stone, glowing bright as the fire seems to be reflected in it.

Behind the box I can see the [Carpenter], he's building a door.

The [Carpenter] locks eyes with me, stares at me as he continues his work.

I stare back at the sight of a glowing red rock and a slowly closing door.

This entire night I am left alive, locked behind a closed door with my portrait on it.

My core room a stark contrast with it's white spendor of the fungus,

nothing but ashes remains of my dungeon.

----------------------------------------

Only in the morning did any life return to me, it's regrowth delayed by many uncertain hours.

The thick layer of ashes is starting to sink in the ground, even nurturing my one remaining fungi

That is to say ... with the exception of those doors ...

I am looking at some very distinct doors, each side fully engraved with finely detailed artwork.

As I trace the doors I can make out my monsters.

First door first.

On my side, I see my beautiful fungi farms with the (Attini) tending to their crops.

The other side my (Blade ant) and the crystal.

Then, right where the main tunnel ends.

Once again, I see my beautiful fungi farms with the (Attini)

My side is only showing some tunnels with a few lost (Ant)'s in them.

Then ...

Behind that door, there is the yellow robed group.
