”I want to get in my chopper and fly away from the city.” A helicopter pilot said blankly as he stared off into a distance. He got into the vessel that he thought was empty and started the engine. The helicopter’s propellers started to turn.
An officer yelled a warning in the pilot’s headset, but the man ignored his supervisor. Without any hesitation, he got the chopper into the air and flew away. He knew his action might lead to his execution, but the random urge was just too strong.
In the seats behind the pilot, the man in grey took a sigh of relief. The woman was good, but there was no way she could catch up to him. First of all, there was no way she could fly without using powers strange to this world. There were two choppers in the camp, and the other was dealt with. He also knew about the warning not to use powers that were obviously not of the world the voyagers were in, and he doubted the woman would take the risk, assuming she could even fly by herself. Second, as long as he could get away far enough, she could never find him. Jean could find him only if she was specifically looking, and that was an impossible thing to do over an entire planet.
Suddenly, with the corner of his eyes, he saw a figure jumping into the air. It was the exact person he was fleeing from. Still, a casual smirk, instead of a troubled frown, covered his face. According to the trail of projection, there was no way she could reach the helicopter.
Jean reached a point where the sheer power of her jump was gone, and the next second she would be falling. At the exact second, she raised her right hand. A strange looking weapon was in her grip. It was a gun, but instead of bullets, it launched a hook into the air. The hook accurately grabbed onto one of the supports of the helicopter. A string connected the hook to the gun, which was then grabbed onto by Jean’s hand. With a new source of force, Jean flipped herself into the air. This time, she was in front of the helicopter, and she was going both down and forward.
Something like this was near impossible for normal human beings, but compared to just flying into the air, this was much more normal. At least it was based on science and tools and not some random alien power.
The pilot’s face turned white. He had no idea what was happening. He suddenly decided to go for a tour with his company’s armed helicopter. So what? Why is there a flying maniac attacking his chopper?
His face was still pale when Jean smashed through the bulletproof and tossed him out of the cockpit. At this height, he wouldn’t end in one piece.
Taking control of the helicopter, Jean turned around and faced the man. She expected a defeated on his knees begging for mercy, but instead she was met with a cold smirk.
“You idiot.” The man said, not worried that he was already a prisoner.
Jean realized something. She wiped her hand over the man’s body, and it went by without slowing down the tiniest bit.
She was fooled. It was a hallucination.
“Fun fact. Just because this chopper was leaving when you arrived doesn’t mean this was the only chopper. I suspected you have something like that up your sleeve, so I did something really simple but really effective.” Maybe thinking he was safe, the man started talking. “Nice jump, by the way. I’d give you a 6 out of 10.” He commented casually. “By the way you need to change. Your suit is turning into a bikini.” He was all over the place as he tried to provoke Jean. Jean’s suit was pretty battered by the bullets the Umbrella soldiers fired. The bazooka especially so. She used her body to deflect the attacks, but her clothing didn’t share the same strength. They were just normal mercenary suits, and they were pretty much gone.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
Jean knew the man was trying to make her angry. From what she saw, he was extremely skilled and experienced. Someone like that wouldn’t just say things because he saw some naked skin. Frowning, she took out a jacket from her watch and put it on before crushing the hallucination.
Still expressionless, Jean jumped out of the helicopter. She went through the cold air for a few seconds before crashing into the ground. When the smoke cleared, she straightened her body. But instead of doing anything, she stood still for a few seconds to make up her mind. When the decision was finally made, she knelt down on the ground and put her hand on the ground.
It was dangerous to use celestial power in the Resident Evil world. She used the psychic power before, but that was just inside her mind. Given that there were psychic power in this world, like Alice and Whisker, that was not exactly rule breaking. Using celestial power like what she was planning on doing was completely different. A large scale usage like that would certainly go against the law of this universe. There was no telling what was going to happen.
But the man was a greater threat. He had seen what she was capable of. His power was enough to threaten her life, and more importantly, he could use that power efficiently. If he was allowed to escape, then likely she would never have a chance to find him again. This time he was discovered because he underestimated Jean’s power and brought her to him. The same thing wouldn’t happen again. Them never meeting was the best scenario. In the worst case, the man might lurk in the dark and wait for an opportunity to take her by surprise and ambush her. If he could escape, she would always need to sleep with one eye open.
Making up her mind, Jean’s eyes turned completely gold. The celestial power in her body was activated. Energy strong enough to wipe out a city swept through everything within a 10 km radius of the camp. With the enormous amount of energy as backup, nothing could hide from the xel’naga’s golden gaze.
The next second, Jean’s body disappeared.

In another helicopter, the man smirked as his hallucination was destroyed. He made up his mind of where he was going. He would go to the Umbrella headquarter at Japan, and he would control Whisker and thus the entire Umbrella Corporation. The girl was almost invincible, but how many nukes could she survive?
Suddenly, he frowned. Out of nowhere and as far as he could see for no reason at all, he had a strange feeling that he was being watched, but that was impossible. There was no way Jean could find him all the way from where the last chopper was.
The next second the impossible thing happened. He felt a warm body right next to him. A soft hand carefully found its way onto his shoulder, checking the solidness of his body. This should be a pleasure, but the man’s hands turned cold. He turned with a difficult smile.
“Hey...” He slowly turned to the jacket wearing woman. “Is it too late to say sorry?”

On a tree 50 km outside Racoon City, ten crows suddenly howled painfully. Out of nowhere, yellow energy entered their bodies and transformed their very being. The soft wings were turned strong enough to cut through steel like they were paper. The beaks could punch a hole through a tank. The eyes shined the light of wisdom.
As the change was completed, all ten crows jumped off the three branches and flew toward Racoon City with lightning speed.
