In the sky, the dark clouds began to gather over an ordinary cave by the shore which three tornados touched down a few months ago. Inside the cave, three figures were sitting in circle focus as they wait for the lightning to rain down and allow them access to the immortal realm.

Focusing the three of them circulated their inner Qi while also stacking defensive barriers up around them just as the first lightning struck. The first of nine bolts of lightning was toward weaker side as it only gave them a little shock. Waiting patiently the second one struck about three minutes later with also gave them a little shock as one defensive barrier activated.

Lucifer who was focusing also spread his spirit sense outward so no could sneak attack them discovered about fifty who appeared ready for battle and were all in origin realm. He knew they were waiting for the lightning to stop so they could storm in and kill them since they weren’t part of the government.

Among them, he recognized one that stopped them on the mountain a few months back he was called Commander Flown. Seeing that he was among them was amazing since in his opinion he had the worst technique as it was even amazing he made it to origin rank in the first place.

When he felt the next lightning strike was about to come he chose to leave a spirited print on them as he needs to focus now. The third lightning broke through two defensive arrays but it introduced a hypnotic effect on them making them see what they want most.

For Lucifer, he saw ripples around him as the effect failed to affect him while Luna and Sia were drooling with a hint of red on their faces. After few seconds there, mind cleared up allow them to become focused again. Five minutes quickly passed and the fourth lightning strike came but failed to activate any defensive array which only gave them a light shock again.

During the few minute gaps between the fourth and fifth lightning break, Lucifer took a looked at the gathering of Cultivators and noticed a little over two hundred appeared. Quickly throwing spirit mark on them he turned a blind eye to them.

The fifth lightning strike came and went same as the last four with only a little shock. After the lightning hit the spirit marks Lucifer place began to move as they thought the next one was the last one. Quickly throwing down a trap array so he can gather them all into one spot so after Heavenly Tribulation he can wipe them out.

The sixth lightning strike fell and manage to break through three defense arrays before it landed giving a small shock and tried to draw out inner demons. Lucifer felt little uncomfortable as it showed him a sea of corpses but that about it. As for Luna and Sia they didn’t have any inner demon as either Lucifer wipe out the cause or the flow of time made them disappear.

Outside the cave where all the cultivators gathered many of them were getting impatient as they were promised riches and rewards of anything, they desired by the king. Standing at the front of the crowd was Commander Flown radiating of noble air.

“Get ready.” Commander Flown yelled.

“Let this over with as I got brothels to visit.” One man yelled.

“I got to get the princess.” Another yelled.

“Sir there something wrong going on as the clouds haven’t dispersed yet.

Seeing the clouds getting ready for another strike they realized that they messed up badly. When the seventh struck down they realized that this wasn’t someone breaking through to the soul realm but someone breaking through the void.

“Commander our information was incorrect.” A soldier said standing next to the commander.

“Retreat, and hope they fail the Heavenly Tribulation,” Flown yelled as everyone tried to scatter only to realize that they can’t leave.

After the few minutes of panic, they all settled down as they hope that the senior will be lenient towards them. Settling down they watched as the eighth lightning strike down and seen massive array appear blocking most of the lightning. Seeing the array appeared they realized that they disturb an array master.

Inside the cave, Luna and Sia were smiling as the last wave was coming and they were still in top condition while Lucifer just grinned. The last wave will drag out inner demon and desires of the everyone taking part of the Heavenly Tribulation.

“This is the last wave and dangerous one,” Lucifer said softly.

“Got it.” The two girls said.

Twenty minutes passed since the last lightning strike yet the ninth haven’t arrived yet causing confusion to everyone present as there weren’t any records of this happening before.

Lucifer who was smiling twenty minutes ago was angry as he was getting impatient about waiting. After few more minute passed his patients hit the limit since it didn’t seem like it was happening anytime soon.

“Fine if you’re not going to work I’m rampage.” Lucifer angerly shouted toward the sky.

After that yell, three tiny sparks floated down and barely tap them hardly registering that they were shocked. Soon the black clouds began to dispersed leaving behind clear blue sky and stump cultivator as they didn’t know what happen.

“ARE YOU SERIOUS.” Roared the commander who was disappointed.

Lucifer who was pacing in circles inside the cave was fuming as he expected something grand on the last lighting bolt but only received a small shock. Luna and Sia just smile at him as it was funny seeing him like this complaining thing not going his way.

“Now what should I do with the bugs that gathered?” Lucifer said.

“Let them go?” Sia said.

“Or kill them?” Luna said.

“I just cripple them to teach them a lesson on disturbing a Heavenly Tribulation,” Lucifer said before he disappeared and screams followed.

“Should have expected that,” both girls said in sync.
