The sun could be seen rising in the east while a small breeze flowed through the trees. Sounds of heavy breathing could be heard as sword collided causing dust to fly. An old man with two children could be seen around the ‘sword empress’ tomb. The old man and young boy could be seen exchanging blows while the young girl was following the statues pose causing for weird dance.

“Come on Lucifer only one more hour to go.” Old Moon said as he continued to swing his sword.

“Another hour of this.” Lucifer said as he swung his heavy sword blocking incoming blow with all his strength plus more. They have been sparring like this for the last five hours and the difference could be seen as Old Moon didn’t break a sweat while Lucifer is drenched.

“How else am I going to let my granddaughter travel with you if you can’t even protect yourself.” Old Moon said while picking up in speed again. The power they are using to spar is similar to one who just broke through to peak Xiantain.

‘Why did he pick up speed again my cultivation only at early xiantian realm yet he using peak xiantian realm power.’ Lucifer grumbles to himself as I kept blocking and attacking.

The fight continues while Luna watches from the side as she just finished her third cycle of the sword dance. The more she watches the more her Qi energy purify causing her to smile as she feels improvement.

‘Lucifer becoming more amazing which each passing day but why do their sword look to be part of their arms?’ I thought to myself as I began focusing on their swords.

‘Lucifer heavy sword looks to focus on great destruction and strength but what did he say ‘Lifting heavy as if light’ or something like that. But grandfather sword looks to be the opposite causing his thin sword to be like a heavy sword.’ I began thinking but the more I thought more confusing it became.

The more I watched the more a weird feeling came but I can’t place what I’m missing. The more I thought the more distance came between causing me to become irritated.

‘Whatever I just my practice my sword techniques that Lucifer taught me.’

I begin to but a weird feeling came causing my sword strike to flow smoother than before with more destructive power behind it. I soon begin to become absorbed into it as if it the only thing that mattered.

-Lucifer POV-

Finishing up our six-hour sparring and fighting the urge to sleep I sat down and began replenishing my energy. When the energy began to flow through my body it felt amazing as if a dehydrated suddenly found unlimited water.

“Interesting.” Old Moon said causing me to look at Luna.

Luna who was currently practicing was totally focused but small wave sword intent radiated off of her as it slowly began to grow. Her moves began to flow faster and better as she continued.

“Many spend years even decades trying to form their sword intent but she does it in about half year.” Old Moon praised he watch Luna practice.

‘I feeling that he hiding a lot of secrets but he Luna only friend/crush so I will just respect him’ this thought flew through Old Moon mind as he tried to see through Lucifer.

“At this rate, she going to surpass you and you seem energized ready for round two.” Old Moon said causing me to jump.

‘Are you insane I just rested for twelve minutes and have fifteen percent of my energy back’ I thought but he already began to swing his sword.

Two days have passed but for Lucifer, it felt as if two hundred years have passed and he pretty sure he made a quick trip to the wheel of reincarnation but was returned as they didn’t want him. Luna who was fully focused on training her sword showed sign of stopping soon.

The last two days were torture for Lucifer as he would have fifteen-minute rest between six-hour sparring while he gets two hours to sleep. By the time Luna came out of her trance, Lucifer had bloodshot eyes and terrify aura hovering around him.

“Lucifer what happen to you in an hour.” Luna asks as for her it felt like an hour while it been two days.

“Luna you have been practicing for two days straight.” Old Moon appeared and Lucifer shot him an angry glance.

“What, but it felt like an hour to me.” Luna shouted in surprised.

“Well this tends to happen from time to time so don’t worry about it. Now since it seems you learned ‘sword dance’ why don’t we continue heading to the sect.” Old Moon said.

“Can we wait few more days as I feel I’m going to break through in couple days.” Luna said causing him to be shocked as he seeing two eight-year-old cultivators.

“Very well we can wait another week but let me send a message to sect master really quick.” He said walking into the simple house he built.

“Do you need me to set up some formation for you.” Lucifer asked.

“If you could please and when are you going be sculpting again.” Luna said.

“I will make one of grandfather as a memorial for him.” Lucifer said with a sad tone.

“Then when are you going to make one of me.” Luna asks.

“When my skill is on par with your cuteness.” Lucifer said before he went off to set the arrays.

“He called me cute.” Luna said with a small blush and smile.

From inside the house, Old Moon watched as Lucifer set the arrays and Luna happily watched but had a serious face as he talked to the sect master.

“Junior Moon the surrounding kingdom began to gather and started building up their forces. From our current intel, the estimated time before they wage war against the sect is around three to five years.” A deep voice said coming from a glowing talisman.

“Why are they suddenly wanting to wage war with us. We give them resources and don’t interfere with their matters.” Moon said with slight confusion.

“We aren’t clear on it either but from what we could gather the King of Vino met with a seer and was told a calamity that would shake the cultivation world was coming. But if it true or not has yet to be determined.” The sect master said.

‘If it true then I’m currently looking at what it might be’ Moon thought as he looked at Lucifer.

“I'm currently bringing along my granddaughter and a boy and I want you to make special arrangement for them.” Moon said.

“Isn’t your granddaughter eight and barely start down her path of cultivation.” Sect master asked in confusion.

“The boy the same age but he already in the xiantian realm while my granddaughter breaking through in couple days but what more surprising is how knowledgeable the boy is. I brought them to the ‘Sword Empress’ and lied about the purpose of the statues but he figured it out and knew about their purpose than most expert I know.” Moon said.

“I will make arrangement for them to have their own courtyard and training area.” The sect master said with slight excitement as two geniuses are coming to his sect.

“Great but I told them that they have to pass the admission test but since it would be easy for them two why don’t we modify the test this year.” Moon suggested.

“Perfect I been noticing the lack of tension in the test these last few years.” The sect master said causing Moon to grin.

“Well let get planning.”
