A week have passed, and grandfather finally allowed me to leave the room, but rumors have spread saying that I’m a cripple that forever unable to cultivate has spread throughout the city. Currently, I’m in my house which grandfather built me as the last one was destroyed leading me to be heavily wounded.
In the last few days, besides moving in I manage to set up some array to help with training.
“Lucifer, let spar again and I’m sure I can win this time,” Luna called out to me as she entered the yard.
“Right now, you should be practicing with the sword or are you running away again,” I ask as I'm currently practicing my sculpturing. The main reason I'm practicing this is to help control my Qi, while this also allows me to earn some cash on the side.
“Sparring is a form of training so it still counts as practicing the sword and I manage to reach the peak of the early houtian realm.” She said bragging, but I’m also currently at peak of the early houtian stage but my combat prowess is in the late houtian stage.
“Let me finish this then we can spar,” I said and lifted chisel and swung. When the chisel hit made contact I force my tiny bit of Qi into the stone causing a chunk to be blown off but a smooth surface to remain. I continued to repeat this process.
Few hours have passed since I started and I finally completed my sculpture which looks to be a bird flying high in the sky. But since I’m just starting it barely passable in my opinion but grandfather said it could match those who been practicing for years.
When I noticed that few hours has passed I quickly look at Luna who was sitting there practicing.
“It already night I better head home but I didn’t get to beat you.” She said as if it great shame trying to win against me.
“I already sent a message there saying you're staying the night so don’t worry about it,” I said as sat in a chair waiting.

“But to stay under the same roof could…” Luna mumbled to herself making me wonder what she thinking about.
Few minute pass by watching Luna mumbling to herself about nonsense and is this something normal eight-year-old girl thinks about. When she notices I’m still observing her, she turns red from embarrassment.
“Cute.” Slips out of my mouth inducing her to punch me from embarrassment.
“He called me cute.” She kept mumbling over and over as she entered the house.
“Amazing you’re like me in my younger years. Back when I was younger there was this beautiful woman who had…”Grandfather said as he continued to talk about his past but I begin to wonder when did he arrive.
‘Is this something you should be telling an eight-year-old boy’ flow through my head as I listen. After a half hour of listening, I considered my chance to escape were low but when Luna called me and I took it.
The next morning with grandfather as the referee I’m currently having the spar that Luna wanted. Luna is currently standing there with her sword which in my opinion is lowest of the inferior quality but I currently can make anything better so meh.
“Lucifer are you confident you don’t want to switch weapons I have a wide selection to choose from,” Grandfather asks pulling out weapons of different kinds from his spatial ring.
“I’m sure as this weapon I feel is perfect for me,” I said as I hold my sword which happens to be a heavy sword. The reason I choose this weapon is in my previous world I would read novels were the MC would use a heavy sword and dominate the world with it. My current sword is about five feet long and flat with shape edges as this is my training sword as I have to wait and gather the material to create better ones.
“If you say so,” Grandfather said with a disappointed look as most users gave up half way or died due to not being fast enough.
“Anyways are both of you ready?” Grandfather asks and both of us nod.
“Start!” Grandfather yelled and Luna launched forward swing her sword which she adds a small strand of her Qi into causing it to have a small flame. Seeing that she launched forward, I forward took a step forward and swung my sword causing a small whistle sound of wind behind it. Seeing the sword head her way, she stops moving forward and block my attack. When the sword collided Luna jump backward to reduce the impact but with the weight of the heavy sword it made her fly back few feet causing her to lose again.
“I lost again,” Luna said stomping the ground in disappointment.
“You didn’t do too badly as I figure most late houtian realm warrior wouldn’t stand a chance against you.” Grandfather said to cheer her up a little bit.
“But I still lost to him.” She said getting a small laugh out of grandfather.
