Chapter 1 (Edited)

‘Why’ I tried to shout but no sound came out as I bleed out and watch the vehicle drive off. How did it end up like this well, Today started like any other, I woke up left the house heading to my job and went to the bookstore on my lunch break.

There is a reason I visit the bookstore as I like the cashier who works there. When I noticed that my lunch break was about over I go to cross the street but who would have known that the car would run a red light. Now, as I continued to stare at the sky my vision continued to darken I saw dark clouds gather over me with a multicolored lightning strike down.

“You have gained Primordial souls with Devouring Trait.” A cold voice entered my mind before my sight went dark.

When I regain my sense to my surrounding, I saw to two flames battling. On the right was the smaller yet ancient feeling flame while the left was bigger but wild feeling.

“Hand over your body to this deity, boy,” The ancient flame sounded.

“No, it originally my body so why would I need to hand it over,” The wild one said.

“Devouring Trait activated,” The voice sounded again and the two began flowing toward me.

“What going on,” The wild flame shouted.

“I don’t know,” The ancient one said as they are ¼ their size now.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

In the next few seconds, after the flames disappeared, I suddenly felt a pull and I suddenly could see around me. Currently around me were a group of old men that had white hair and were staring at me with pity.

“How is he?” A man who looks to be in his thirties asked but suddenly intense pain entered my mind as memories flow in from the wild flame memories.

As the memories continued to show up I gradually begin to become familiar with the world. The world is called Flora which is ruled by strength and where experts can shatter with a wave of their hand and split ocean with a sneeze.

“He will live but according to our result, he may never step on the path of cultivation in this lifetime,” One of the old men gave the news.

“How is this possible?” the man said causing terror to show in the old men eyes as they back away.

“According to the result, his veins are shattered and unable to be fixed,” The old men shivered as they said stepping back.

“You can leave.” He said waving his hand and the old men nodded and left.

“Lucifer, I will try to find a cure for you,” The man said with tears in his eyes and he sat beside my bed.

“Grandfather it is ok,” I indicated in a weak voice as the pain subsided. But soon another wave happened right afterward and more memories showed up but these were from the other flame.

The other flame memories were from a deity who died in the divine realm. His cause of death was sort of sad as his lover betrayed him for treasure that was completely useless as she would have started over from scratch in cultivation. But his memories of being a divine blacksmith, sculptor and array grandmaster would naturally come in handy.

“Host has devoured two souls allowing the awakening of the Primordial Bloodline.”

“Lucifer, are you ok?” Grandfather said as he saw pain show up on my face.

“I’m going to be ok.” I manage to say as the bloodline runs through my body repairing and strengthening it. When the pain got unbearable, I pass out from the pain.
