THE RISE OF ELFEN QUEENDOM
Coronation ceremony

Coronation ceremony

I woke up feeling exhausted and tempted to go back to sleep, but how could I, with my beautiful wife beside me, already awake? We kissed and got out of bed, and I headed to the bathroom to freshen up. I had dismissed the male servants trying to assist me, preferring female attendants. The bathroom was vast, and for the first time since arriving in the capital, I enjoyed a luxurious bath with hot water—a far cry from the conditions at my cheap inn.

After dressing, I joined Leona in the dining hall, an opulent room with gleaming marble floors, crystal chandeliers, and ornate decorations. Leona was already seated. Beside her stood Eli, her loyal bodyguard, a striking blonde woman. Anna stood next to an empty chair, indicating it was mine. I sat down, feeling a bit uneasy as Leona began to eat.

"Can you two sit down and join us?" I asked.

Anna glanced at Leona, while Eli protested, "How can we even dare to..."

Leona's glare silenced her immediately. They both sat down and started eating. What the hell? Are you some kind of school bully? But damn, my wife is cool. The atmosphere was heavy and awkward.

"Hey, Leon, pass me the salt," I said.

"Who are you calling Leon?" Leona's face turned red with embarrassment, and both women burst into laughter. At least the awkwardness dissipated, and we began to converse more comfortably.

While I was bathing, Leona received a report that the mission to capture the Eclipse family head had been successful, and she was now locked up in the palace. Elmacia is truly remarkable.

"What are you planning to do with the Eclipse family?" Leona asked.

I outlined my strategy, and she nodded in agreement.

After breakfast, we prepared for the coronation ceremony and met in front of two grand doors. We held hands, with Anna and Eli behind us, followed by Elmacia and twelve other beautiful ladies. The doors opened, revealing the palace hall, a majestic space adorned with golden pillars, intricate frescoes, and a red carpet leading to the throne. As we entered, everyone knelt on one knee and bowed their heads. We walked down the red carpet and stood before the throne, facing the assembly. The Supreme Elder declared, "You may all stand."

Leona wore a stunning red gown, while I was dressed in pure white. The Supreme Elder began a speech about the goddess, which I didn't quite understand. After she finished, she gestured, and two elders approached—one holding a beautiful tiara and the other a long golden sword. Leona bent slightly, and the Supreme Elder placed the tiara on her head and handed her the sword. I knelt, and she lightly tapped my shoulders with the sword. Rising, I received the sword from her gentle hands. The tiara symbolized authority, and the sword represented strength. My wife held ultimate authority, and I was entrusted with the military might of the country. The crowd erupted in applause and cheers. Today, no one dared give me nasty glares; perhaps they were intimidated by the presence of the new queen.

We sat at our respective thrones next to each other. If the queen has multiple husbands, which one sits on the throne? The first husband, of course. Now came the second part of the ceremony, where elders, major families, lesser nobles, and feudal lords presented themselves before the queen with gifts. Some even offered their children as slaves to the royal family to gain favor. I hoped no one tried that here. Elders one after another offered gifts and congratulated the new queen. It felt as if they were all addressing Leona, and I was invisible. Only Elmacia smiled at me—I think I am going to add her to my harem.

Major families followed, starting with the Whiteheart family, represented by a beautiful woman with impressive assets. The Vermillion family head was next, represented by a stunning golden-haired lady with a perfect figure. She bowed to both of us and left. Next was the Eclipse acting head, who didn't even look us in the eye. The Adams family followed, led by a striking blonde loli. She bowed to both of us.

What happened next took me by surprise—Leonie stood there with her parents. I looked at her and then at Leona, realizing I could hardly tell them apart. Leonie spoke, "Congratulations, your highness and your majesty," bowing gently. Man, I wanted to have them both. My mother-in-law bowed gently. "Your majesty, please take care of my daughter."

"Of course I will," I smiled at her.

She lowered her voice, "I will be expecting a grandchild soon."

I just smiled. Come on, mother number two. My family did not come since everything happened too quickly. Instead, Dad wrote back, saying they wanted to remain in Eldorado. So we sent 1000 soldiers to Eldorado to protect them. Lesser nobles came one after the other until it was time for feudal lords. They also did the same until Eleanor and her sister, the family head, approached. After introducing themselves, I looked at her, reminded of the sealed mine incident, and decided to forgive her. The ceremony was successful and went as planned.

"Shall I begin ruling this country?"
