Chapter 029 - Phoenix Form

Only 1 chapter this morning. I promise a little more action in the next chapter.

As Akiza meditated, the power from the griffon meat flowed throughout her body. It was very strong. That was when she felt a change. KAW. There was a loud sound. Akiza looked around, she could not sense anything around them in the fog. KAW. There it was again.

"Come inside," said Akira.

It was coming from Akiza's Dantian. As she focused, she entered it and saw a small bird. KAW. It had grown something from its head and had long tails. The Phoenix was starting to take shape.

"What's wrong?" asked Akiza.

"It's been calling for you," said Akira pointing at the phoenix.

The bird jumped into her stomach. She felt a flow of Fire energy flow throughout her body from her Dantian. Heat gathered in her stomach and moved to the shoulders. A pair of flaming orange wings appeared from her back.

"Congratulations," said Akira. "You can now Armatize."

"You mean like Cixi?" asked Akiza.

"Yes, hers was a shield, yours are these wings," explained Akira. "As you grow stronger it will change and eventually, it will spread throughout your body and become a full change."

"Can all Spirits do this?" Akiza asked.

"Only your primary Spirit," said Akira.

"What about these three then?" Akiza asked pointing to the three remaining eggs.

"They will add to your primary Spirit's Armatization," Akira explained. "For example, the Dragon might let you shoot water out of your wings or something."

"Is that even possible?" asked Akiza.

"That probably won't happen, but it is different for each person," said Akira. "Something will happen to you once the next one awakens or if you get a new spirit."

Akiza looked at the second egg with stones on it. It still had not cracked or shown any signs of weakness. It probably was not going to hatch any time soon. And after that, there was going to be another two. She was going to need an incredible amount of Internal Energy to hatch them.

"Anyways, you should avoid using it here in this forest," said Akira. "You will be spotted miles away and you might accidentally set the whole place on fire."

"Okay Master," said Akiza.

"And one more thing, your Phoenix Style attacks will be much stronger if you use them while you are Armatized, so be careful when you use them."

"I will Master," said Akiza.

Akiza created a small fire in her hand and stared at it.

"What are you doing?" asked Serph.

"Practicing," said Akiza. "I do this so I can do it faster when I need to."

Akiza changed the color of her flame to pink. "Hold still," said Akiza.

"What are you doing?" asked Serph.

Akiza moved her hand of pink fire and moved it towards Serph. "This won't hurt," she said.

Serph closed his eyes anyways, expecting to feel the scorch of fire. Instead, there was a warm feeling in his stomach. He felt less pain even though it had been hurting seriously from the griffon meat. "It doesn't hurt," he said.

"It's my special ability," said Akiza. "When I was in the forest, this would sometimes help with the pain. It actually worked against what Haman used on me in the arena ring."

"So that's how you were able to beat him..." Serph said. "But you have a healing ability!"

"Is it special?" asked Akiza.

"Healing abilities are very rare," said Serph. "Not even 1 in 10000 people have a healing ability or skill. Most healing comes from people with special skills and talents that they have studied for many years. And yours can heal internally as well, that makes it even more rare."

"Mine doesn't work on everything though," said Akiza. "There was a time when I felt a lot of pain and the fire did nothing to stop it."

"It doesn't matter," said Serph. "Any healing ability is rare and very valuable. There may be people who would even kill to get a skill like that."

"That means this is dangerous," said Akiza as she lifted her hand from Serph's stomach and extinguished the flame.

The pain in Serph's stomach was hurting a lot less and he looked okay now. Akiza could sense that his strength had increased a little. Being able to eat and digest meat from the creatures in the Immortal Realm would allow for a huge improvement in strength. If they survived this, they would return much stronger than they were when they entered. "And I will be able to pay Haman back for this!" Akiza thought to herself.

The two went to sleep after. They had to survive until the fog lifts. Only then can they return home. "It just might be possible to survive with her," Serph said to himself. "She's already done things that I believed to be impossible."
