Chapter 039 - Truth

Akiza's power suddenly faded. The purple flames returned to their normal orange and red before disappating as Akiza began to fall from the sky. Kongming caught her. There was still presence of Dark Energy in her body, but it was fading. Kongming had not used the Divine Energy he gathered in his fingers.

"Is it over?" said Serph.

"I don't know," Akira answered.

The two of them watched as Kongming descended.

"Is she okay?" asked Serph.

"Yes," said Kongming. "She is just tired, but she still has traces of Dark Energy in her body."

"That's good," Serph said with relief.

Akira seperated himself from Serph's sword. The four of them headed back to Kongming's house and put Akiza to bed.

"This is my fault," said Akira. "That woman had something against me."

"When a child has an enormous amount of power, they may fail to control it and it can rampage and cause many problems," said Kongming.

"I know," said Akira. "But I took the risk. I was afraid that at any moment a Demon Lord would appear. Without that power, the world would fall into ruin again because of me."

Akira looked at Akiza. She now had the power of a Lord, but lacked the means to control it. A young girl of seven years had the power to destroy a city and acted almost entire out of her own emotions and for her own pleasure. It was something truly dangerous.

"Serph?" said Akira.

"Yes?" Serph responded.

"I need you to transfer me back into Akiza, follow my instructions directly," Akira said.

Serph did as instructed. He positioned Akiza in a sitting position with her legs crossed and her body straight. He then held each of her arms up with his palms.

"Now, Armatize her using me as a Spirit," said Akira.

Serph did as instructed and a full suit of armor appeared on Akiza for a brief second before disappearing. Akira was gone. Serph could also no longer feel the presence of Akira or hear his voice. Akira was inside Akiza's Dantian again.

"I don't know if you can hear me," said Akira. "But I owe it to you to be honest," he said.

"You better be or else," said a voice. The woman in purple emerged from the tree in Akiza's Dantian.

"You!" said Akira.

"Don't worry, I won't do anything to you as long as you do not hurt her," said the woman in purple. "My only concern is keeping her safe. But if you do, I will make sure it will be the last time you ever do."

The woman returned to the tree. She had become another one of Akiza's Spirits like Akira has. Akiza had the power of three Spirits, a fourth was about to awaken, and at least two more in the future.

"I hope both of you are okay in there," said Serph.

"She should be fine," said Kongming. "There is a trace amount of Dark Energy left in her, but it is not a danger."

"What could have happened?" asked Serph.

"She was controlled by a Demon Lord with Divine Energy," said Kongming.

"A Demon Lord with Divine Energy?!?" said Serph with a shocked voice. "How is that even possible?"

"Demons can grow and change just like us," explained Kongming. "When they acquire Divine Energy, they become much more intelligent and reasoned instead of acting on just instinct though they are still driven to fulfill a certain need."

"I couldn't do anything," said Serph. "I feel so weak."

"There are few that can stand up to a Demon Lord," said Kongming. "Most people would flee in terror at the rumor at one, but you did not, you at least did not run, but that is also why you must become stronger."

"That's impossible, there's miles of difference between me and her alone," said Serph.

"This is how," said Kongming as he took out a set of pills.

"What is this?" asked Serph.

"These are pills meant to heal the worst of wounds and can event prevent a shock that would lead to death," said Kongming. "With this, I can infuse Divine Energy into your body and you will survive, but the question is if your mind can handle the immense pain. I will do this for you must promise me to do something."

"I will do it," said Serph.

"Are you sure about this?" asked Kongming. "My request is that one, when Akiza is overloaded by her own Internal Energy, you will make sure she takes the Five Elements Pill that I hid in her Dantian, and two should Akiza ever become a Demon Lord, you must kill her."

"I will do the first, but I cannot do the second," said Serph.

"Why not?" asked Kongming.

"Because I love her," said Serph. "She treats me kindly and takes care of her. She is like my sister back home, killing her is something that I cannot do."

"That is what I wanted to hear," said Kongming. "Had you actually decided you would kill her, I would not have you do this. Keep this book with you, it will teach you how to enter another person's Dantian and how to transfer Divine Energy," said Kongming as he threw it to Serph. "When Akiza's Internal Energy goes out of control, you will use it to help her."

Serph put the book away in his ring. "I will read it later."

"As for the Five Elements Pill, it will force her into the Emperor Stage if she is not already there," said Kongming. "Otherwise, it will provide enough Internal Energy for the Spirits in her body until she can begin converting her Internal Energy to Divine. This is not a matter of if, but when, meaning it will happen in the future, but I do not know when nor can I leave this Immortal Realm, which is why I must entrust this task to you."

"I understand," said Serph. "Get Akiza to take the Five Elements Pill and awaken her Divine Energy. This is the only way she will survive this."

"Then here we go," said Kongming.

Kongming handed Serph a pill. He swallowed it. Kongming infused each of his fingers with Divine Energy and then hit Serph around his Dantian. Five drops of Divine Energy had entered Serph's body. He immediately passed out from the pain.

Reminder before the complaints. When Serph and Akiza talk about love, they are talking about familial love, not romantic love. It is possible that it might become romantic love in the future, but at their age it is not a major concern or possibly something that they are even aware of.

When "the woman in purple" refers to love, she is also talking about this because what she sees is based on what Akiza sees. The fact that she calls Akira a "false Hero" despite the fact that everything he has done proves that is indeed a real Hero reinforces this. Akira is only being called a "false Hero" because he is not the idealistic image of what a Hero is, which is why she calls him a "false Hero."
