Mandatory Magic Ring Plot Device Chapter
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Akiza sat down and ate some food. She had not eaten anything for a day and her stomach made strange noises. It was rare for her to go this long without eating. As she ate, she found it difficult to absorb the energy from the food. "I feel strange, Master."
"That is because your Internal Energy is still unstable," Akira replied. "The breakthrough to the Spirit Stage is a huge leap that takes time to adjust. It will resolve itself in time"
Akiza felt comforted by her Master's words. When she finished eating, she meditated to try to calm herself and gradually, the pain in her body began to lessen.
"There's one thing you need to do right now," Akira said while Akiza was still meditating.
This broke Akiza's concenration and she began talking. "What is that Master?"
"Remove your rings from your fingers," Akira instructed.
"No, my mom gave me to this and I promised," Akiza replied.
"I thought you were going to listen to everything I told you to do," Akira retorted.
"But this is one thing I cannot do because it is something from my mom, she is more important than you because that were some of her last words," Akiza responded.
"Do not worry, the rings are not going anywhere, they will be staying with you," Akiza said as he tried to comfort her.
Akiza hesitated for a while and thought about it. After a while, she finally agreed to take them off.
"Now do exactly as I instruct," Akira said.
"Okay," said Akiza as she waited for the directions.
"Gather the rings in front of your Dantian," Akira instructed. Akiza put the eight rings in her hands and moved them towards her Dantian.
"Next, focus your Internal Energy and it flow into the rings." Akiza began to concentrate and extend the flow of her Internal Energy from her body to the rings. It was there that she felt something different from each of the rings. The gems on the rings had their own energy, and it matched with the different types of Internal Energy that she had learned from the Nine Yins and Nine Yangs Manual.
"Now, absorb it like you would the food that you eat," Akira instructed. Akiza closed her eyes and focused on the rings and began to incorporate the Internal Energy present in the rings into her Dantian. When the feeling of the Internal Energy from the rings disappeared, she opened her eyes. The rings were gone!
"Where are the rings?!?" Akiza shouted with a panicked voice. She desperately looked all over the cave for them.
"They're in your Dantian now," Akira answered.
"How is that possible?" Akiza asked.
"The rings are special," Akira responded. "They gems they held are each infused one of the types of Internal Energy minus Divine. When you absorbed them, you also absorbed the energy, but there's one more thing that they did."

"What is that?" Akiza asked. As she said those words, she felt a sharp pain in her body again.
"You will see when you enter your Dantian," Akira stated.
Upon entering her Dantian, Akiza noticed there was a big change. The red egg on the left had thoroughly been cracked. It was just the top before, but the egg now looked like it would break if someone even breathed against it. She looked around and the library had grown. There were now doors to eight different rooms.
"Each door that you see contains the same as what was in your rings, it is just stored in your Dantian now," Akira responded. "So when you need to get something out, just focus on your Dantian instead."
Akiza gave a simple nod to show that she understood and looked around and each door had a colored gem on it that looked like the color of the gems on the original rings. Sure enough, when she opened the light green door, it was a huge room hundreds of meters in size and in the corner were vegetables that she had gathered. Her Dantian felt like it had grown much larger in size with the storage room rings.
It was at that moment that Akiza realized she had forgotten the most important thing. She shouted, "What about that egg?"
"Come back here and I will show you," Akira shouted back.
Akiza came running back from the vegetable room to the red egg.
"Hit that egg with a fire enhanced punch," Akira instructed.
Akiza concentrated her flow of Internal Energy and threw a punch at the egg, breaking open the shell. And out came a small red baby chick that leaped at Akiza. She caught it with her hands.
"This is your Phoenix, your first Spirit" Akira explained. "When you get stronger, so will it. Its true purpose will be revealed once it becomes intelligent."
"Intelligent?" Akiza asked.
"It will talk to you," said Akira.
"What?!?" Akiza said with a dumb look on her face. She put the chick on the floor and it jumped around at her legs. "What do I do with it for now?"
"Just put it away in one of the storage spaces," Akira explained. "I will help you look after it, but just make sure you feed it and visit it."
"Feed it? How?" Akiza asked.
"Your Spirits will eat at some of your Internal Energy," Akira explained.
"Won't that weaken me?" Akiza asked.
"It won't eat more than you can recover naturally in your body," Akira said. "The stronger you are, the faster it will grow just because it has more extra Internal Energy to feed on."
Akiza brought the baby chick to the red storage room that was now empty and devoid of any meat. "I'll see you soon," she said to it as she closed the door.
"By the way," Akira said as she closed the door. "Congratulations, you're the beautiful mother of a beautiful baby Phoenix!"
Akiza's face turned red as she heard those words.
