Hui Ming helped Jing put on a set of black robes. “So, who is this?” Jing asked, pointing at Hui Ming.
“Who am I?” Hui Ming squeaked, “Who are you!?”
“I’m his daughter!” Jing said.
“My name is Jin,” I said.
“I’m Jin’s daughter!” Jing said.
Everybody raised their eyebrows at the same time.
“Let’s start over,” I said. I pointed at Hui Ming, “Jing, that’s Xiao Li. Her full name’s Li Hui Ming, but I’m calling her Xiao Li for the time being. She’s my maid.”
I pointed at Jing, “Xiao Li, that’s Jing, my...”
“Daughter,” Jing offered.
“This is just making it more confusing,” I turned to Hui Ming. “Remember when I said I was starting on a huge project? I didn’t know how long it would take because I was creating Jing. She’s kind of my daughter, but not really.”
“Not really?” Jing pouted.
“Damnit Jing. Alright, daughter it is then,” I said.
Hui Ming’s eyes widened. “Are you a god?” she asked.
I was speechless. What kind of question is that? “I’m seventeen! Are there any seventeen year old gods?”

“But you created a human!” she said.
“First off, she’s not human,” I was so tired I struggled to stand. Hui Ming helped me up. I walked over to Jing. “Show her.”
Jing held out her hand for Hui Ming to see. I crack formed down the middle and the palm opened up into two halves, exposing the wooden structures underneath. “She’s a plant, just like everything else I make. She doesn’t need to eat or sleep.” Jing grinned and the wound closed. Hui Ming couldn’t stop staring at her hand.
Underneath my own status box was a new box.

“Actually, I don’t know much about what she can do either,” I said. “Let’s test it out. Jing, lift your right arm.”
“Sure?” she lifted her arm.
“Sorry in advance,” I said. She was one of my plants, so I should be able to use Control on her. I used Control and her arm jerked back down. She seemed fine with it. I took out a seed and it expanded into a glowing pineapple. It lit up, filling the room with warm light. “Try turning this off.”
The light vanished. “Can you sense all the plants outside?” I asked.
A vine that I wasn’t controlling reached in from a window and tickled my cheek. “Sense and control,” she replied.
I laughed. “Couldn’t have turnout out better. I’ll talk with you more later. I have some things I want you to do.” I asked Hui Ming to show Jing around the house. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
I spent the next morning creating the fifth cycle Blood Life Pill that Hou Tian had asked me to make. Afterwards, I walked outside, looking forward to leaving my garden again. I liked the garden, but I still wanted to explore this world. It would be a waste to stay in my garden all day.
But previously, leaving the garden meant leaving it open to invaders. Jing freed me from staying in the garden. She shared control over my plants. She could activate all the defenses or even add new ones.
I walked outside to see Hui Ming planting flowers, while Jing poked at them. “Nice job.” The part of the garden in front of my house was becoming quite pretty through Hui Ming’s hard work.
“Do you want to come with me to explore the city?” I’d wanted my alchemy grandmaster certification ever since I made the Golden Transformation Pill. More importantly, I’ve been eating ginsengs and calorie berries for the past few months. I had one good meal and it was with Chen Wei way back when.
There were a couple other things I wanted to check out. I had received rumors of dangerous nature through my alchemy shop. I had Hou Tian check them out, but he hadn’t gotten back to me yet.
Both of them perked their heads up. “Sorry Jing. I was talking to Xiao Li. Can you stay and hold down the fort for us? Capture intruders?”
“Yeah…” said Jing.
“So, wanna come?” I asked again.
“Of course!” Hui Ming hopped up and followed behind me.
