Chapter 13

Chen Wei lowered her hand to her waist, wrapping her hand around the pommel of her sword.

I threw my hands up. “It’s fine! They’re all under my control.” All of the plants went back to their original positions, hidden from her view.

She was a lot more wary of the vines around her now. Seeing that many could kill the centipede from earlier, anybody would be wary.

“You- you- you-” I gave her a while to regain her bearings. I shrugged, it seemed she had never seen anybody control plants. “What kind of plants are these?” Her voice shook.

“I don’t know. I just made them up. I can cultivate any plant. I can make one up or copy them.”

She fell to her knees and lowered her head to the ground. “Grandmaster Jin. If you can, please create a Six Petal Goldflower? I’ll do anything.”

I rolled my eyes. I felt strangely detached from this situation. It felt like the beginning of a harem anime. Ha!, “I’ll do anything”? Who even says that?

“Please stand up, I already said you don’t need to be so formal around me.” I waited for her to stand up. “I can’t conjure one up out of nowhere, but I’ll see what I can do. What’s a six petal goldflower? Can you show me one?”

She smiled awkwardly. “I don’t have one to show you.”

“Can you describe it to me?” I asked.

“It’s a gold flower… with six petals?” she said as if she wasn’t sure.

I sighed, “Do you know where it grows? Is it the flower part of a tree or bush?”

“It’s very rare and it doesn’t grow from a tree or a bush. It’s one of those small ones that grow from the ground so they’re also hard to find. It’s also supposed to grow in this forest. ” she said.

This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

I scoured my memory for something similar. “Oh,” I said as I remembered something. A Twentytacle Trap inverted itself, revealing a Protect. The top half was a Protect, which I was supposed to sit in. The bottom half was twenty vines that acted like legs. It was my personal little plant carriage. I thought it was kinda cute.

Chen Wei looked at it and shivered. I climbed into the Protect and invited her in.

My ability was versatile. I hadn’t created very many different plants, but I could extract many uses by combining them. The Twentytacle Trap sprung out, dashing from vine to vine and from branch to branch.

Less than a minute later, we arrived at a small pond. A bunch of small flowers grew around the pond’s shores. “There it is.” I pointed at one of the flowers near the pond.

It was a brilliant flower. Its six petals were only as big as the tip of my index finger. The little thing wasn’t called a goldflower for nothing. It had a metallic sheen that made it look like real gold.

“How did you find it so fast?” she murmured.

I jumped down, my feet landing in the soft grass. I breathed in the cool forest air and replied, “I’ve been here before,” gesturing at a nearby Explosive Bulb. “I planted a bunch of traps around my garden as a precaution, so I ended up exploring a lot of the territory around here.”

I touched the stem of the flower. “So this is the flower that you need?” She nodded twice. “Mind if I keep it for a bit?” She hesitated, but then nodded again.

I put a seed next to the flower and it grew into wood in the shape of a pot.The growth of the pot cut underneath the soil, scooping the flower. I lifted it and the flower came up. I hopped back into my carriage and it shuttled back to the garden.

I created another room and some furniture for her. “Can you stay here for a bit? I’ll be back in a couple minutes.”

I walked outside. This was a special occasion, so I made another pot and filled it with dirt. I took out another seed and let it roll in my hand. I dropped it into the pot and another six petal goldflower sprung up. “Yusssss,” I murmured under my breath.

But damn did it take a lot of mana. The daisy sized flower took three hundred mana to create.

You’ve copied a special type of plant! What would you like to name it?

That’s new. I wondered what the system thinks is special and what is not. Actually, the flower did feel different from all the other ones. The flower had something inside that the other plants did not. I could feel it, but I didn’t know what it was.

“Six Petal Goldflower” has been named!

Experience required for next level has not been reached! Six Petal Goldflower stays at level one!

I decided to keep this secret. I didn’t know how rare these things were supposed to be. The market might be sent into turmoil if somebody who could randomly create super rare plants suddenly appeared.

I had some vines come over and cover up the extra goldflower. I picked up the original flower and walked back to the room I had Chen Wei stay in. “So.” I set the pot on a table in front of her. “I got the flower. You said you would do anything, right?”

Her face turned red, “Yes.”

“It’s been a while since I’ve seen civilization. You told me you came from a city, please take me there. I hope that isn’t too much for me to ask.” I said.

“Of course not! Thank you, Grandmaster Jin, I’ll do it!”
