As Chester walked down the street, he was amazed by everything that was going on. Seeing the different shops that lined the main road, selling all kinds of different things, (many magical he was sure). He couldn’t help but stare at all the different kinds of people that he saw, so many different kinds of races, elves, beast-men, dwarves, lizard-men, and others he was not sure what they were. and for as many types of races, there was even more of a variety in what everyone was wearing. Casual clothes, full plates of armor, archers in leotards, mages with pointy hats, and everything in between.
Chester was still holding on to the health potion bottle the beast girl gave him, and he had an idea. "inventory" a screen with the title "inventory" popped up in front of him, along with two inventory slots. It only has two slots? Maybe there is some way to unlock more. maybe the more I use it. He held the bottle up, and pushed it into one of the slots on the screen. The bottle disappeared from his hand, and a low quality 2d picture of a bottle appeared in the inventory slot. "Amazing" He reached his hand out again, towards the picture of the potion bottle. When his hand was right in front of the screen, the potion bottle appeared in his hand. Thinking to level up his inventory screen, and thereby increase the number of inventory slots, he repeated to deposit the bottle into his inventory, and take it out again. Over, and over. He thought he felt something tugging at his pants leg, and he looked down, expecting to see a cat, or some kind of small fantasy creature, but there was nothing there. Assuming it was his imagination, he continued to use his inventory. After fifteen times, still nothing happened. He suspected that this may not be the way to increase the space in his inventory, and even if it was, he wouldn't continue. His arm was getting too tired being held up for so long. Putting the bottle back into his inventory, he closed the screen. Chester continued to walk down the street. He hadn't eaten in a while, and instinctively stuck his hands in his pockets to search for a chocolate bar. there was no chocolate bar, but there was some hard item. He pulled it out, and it was an empty potion bottle. Where did this come from? Did I not return the bottle the guard captain gave me? Anyways its mine now. Maybe I can sell it, or refill it with a potion. "I CAN LEARN TO MAKE POTIONS!" He cried out. More people turned his way to see what all the screaming was about. He decide to store it for later. "inventory" His inventory screen popped up. "What the hell?" his other potion bottle, the one he got from the beast girl, was gone. Do potion bottles disappear after they are used? That is what happens in all the games. Then why do I still have the guard captains bottle?
The gears in your head are turning (although not necessarily in the right direction) wisdom (begrudgingly) +1
I shouldn't disregard the option that top hat man is just messing with me. Whatever, I'll figure this out later. He put the potion bottle into his inventory and closed the window.

Soon after, noticing the classic wooden sign sticking out above, into the street, he arrived at the door. Chester was happy to notice that the doors in this city were wide enough for him to fit through without having to struggle too much. Pushing the door open, he walked inside. Some bells that hung from the door jingled as he stepped in. He headed right over to the counter. There was a large heavy (muscular not fat) woman behind the counter.
"Hello, is this the fighters guild?"
"Does this look like the fighters guild?"
Chester looked around. the walls were lined with weapons. Racks of swords, axes, spears, and war-hammers
"Yes it does!"
The fighters guild receptionist was about to say something, but Chester cut her off. He sounded as if he had been practicing these lines.
"Hello, my name is Chester, I have come from far away. .I am aspiring to become a great adventurer. Please let me join your guild"
She was about to begin speaking again, and for the second time, he cut her off.
"Oh, also, i forgot to say, I have no place to stay, no money or any means of getting food. I would appreciate if...."
Now it was the woman behind the counter who cut him off.
"THIS IS NOT THE FIGHTERS GUILD YOU FUCKING IDIOT"
Her powerful voice shut him up. In a calmer, but still slightly angered voice, she continued.
"This is a weapons shop. And if you don't have any money, you can get the fuck out"
Chester, shocked, and scared, slowly backed up towards the door, and walked out. Standing outside the door, he looked up at the sign. But it has a sword symbol. Was that elf who gave me directions messing with me? While looking up, he noticed a couple of buildings down, another sign, on it was a carving of a shield and sword. Oh man, I walked into the wrong building, the fighters guild must be that one.
Your wisdom stat is so low, that even this epiphany of yours is considered a great accomplishment. wisdom +1
Finally arriving at the fighters guild, he pushed open one of the double doors. He noticed that the door here was much heavier and harder to open than the door of the weapons shop.
