Chapter 67: Fight Fight Fight!

Chapter 67: Fight Fight Fight!

Cosmo didn't go in head first like a raging bull seeing only red in its eyes. He had a plan. A very simple plan. Despite what an outsider might think, be is indeed better at utilizing the hidden strength Cosmo has, but it is only to a certain extent. Just like a hammer normally used for building things, in Cosmo's hands, he could use it to slaughter dozens of people.

But what he can't do is use to kill an Elephant. There were limits to this. And Cosmo was already pushing it by fighting two titan-like monsters at once. He was eager to fight and kill as much as the next person, but not to the point where he was going to sacrifice himself for it. He was the other guy.

“Hmmm. What to do oh what to do.”

Cosmo looked at the monster below him, its giant slit eyes there were like a lizard was coldly staring at him with utter rage bubbling inside of it. He looked in another direction and saw another monster fast approaching, its long, lanky arms that were sculpted with sheer muscle and power were barreling its way toward him. The monster beat his chest with its two hands, as it continuously lept to Cosmo and the lizard.

“So a lizard and a monkey. Cosmo is making me work for my freedom. I guess it is true, that after one has achieved freedom, there is still a desert to traverse. And my desert happened to be two monsters that want to rip me to shreds. Should I just leave?”

An evil thought popped into his head. He looked towards the black mass that was finally showing reactions. Cosmo guessed that it was about time that it was about to finish, but it seemed that it would still take time. And that time didn't seem to be available for both of them. Cosmo smiled, as he made his decision.

“If there is a desert for me to traverse, then I simply have to flood that desert.” Cosmo laughed, as the thought of ever leaving never crossed his mind. He wasn't that kind of Cosmo. There was a different Cosmo for that.

He grinned, charging up the staff with pure white and destructive lightning. He thought that indeed, fighting two at once was too much, but he never thought he couldn't do it. He wanted to have fun. And the ultimate fun meant crushing an obstacle that refused to move. The monster already got to its bearings and was about to attack once more, when he saw that the human staff had already slammed against its side again.

The monster roared in agony, as it was thrown again into the air. Never once in its life was it ever thrown away like a doll, the monster thought it was impossible because of its size. He started to think about what else was possible that could happen to him. Death?

The monkey-like monster suddenly saw a black mass crashing towards him, and when he looked closer it seemed to be a fellow monster. It wanted to dodge, but it was simply put, too big and too slow. The two collided and created a mini earthquake that shook the surrounding area. Cracks spread throughout that area of the forest, and the ground where they landed caved in as if a meteor struck it.

Cosmo breathed in satisfaction, feeling he made a masterpiece of an artwork in the forest. Maybe it was enough to be hung in a gallery. Cosmo gazed at the two monsters and saw that the dust was clearing. He could see that the two were on top of each other, dizzy, and seemed to be seeing in two. The monkey tried ripping the lizard away from him, but it so desperately failed as the lizard seemed to have gone unconscious.

It was then that his artwork may not be the best he thought it would be. He heard another roar, and this was the last roar and seemed to be the strongest. Cosmo interestedly gazed towards where it was coming from and saw that it was coming from north. That particular monster didn't barrel towards him like all the others. It reached past the walls that imprisoned him, clutched the walls, and shattered them.

Cosmo guessed that it was his fault. The earthquakes must have shaken its foundations, thus weakening its roots and making it easier to break. But that was only his guess, and he was starting to doubt it as he saw the monster walk out. The moment the monster walked in, Cosmo widely smiled as he felt goosebumps run through his arms.

It was tall. Taller than the rest of the monsters he was previously fighting. Cosmo felt it. This being. He was strong. It stood tall, gazing out into the forest, and it was when the being turned its gaze to Cosmo. The being looked directly at Cosmo for only a second, as it then turned its gaze towards another direction. It saw the black mass.

The creature started walking towards it unhurriedly as if he was going out for a relaxing walk in the morning. Cosmo didn't care for its impudence. He was more curious about how much fun it could give him. He looked closer and its being was more likened to a human. It had two arms, two legs, and a head. All of it gigantified.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

The thing differing from it from a normal human was its skin. It had a thick carapace, red with its head protruding two red horns. Its eyes were like fire, blazing bright yet when Cosmo looked behind it, all it saw was utter coldness.

Cosmo charged his staff again with thunder, lengthened and widened as it reached the heavens, and swung it behind him. The monkey saw what was about to slam against them and wanted to dodge, but there was still the lizard that squished against him. It hopelessly looked on as the full weight of the staff crashed against them. It created a cloud of dust that reached the sky.

Cosmo put it back to normal and held it in his hands. The moment he turned around, he saw that the giant-like being was looking at him. With its full undivided attention. Its blazing eyes that reminded Cosmo of the sun itself were directed at him. He unflinchingly stood his ground and started approaching him step by step mid-air. He walked unhurriedly, as the shape of his weapon was once again changing.

The creature, in turn, turned its body towards him and walked at the same pace. It's every stride cut it closer to Cosmo. Cosmo didn't mind it and preferred it. In a few moments, they were standing face to face. Cosmo hovered at the creature's eye level and said.

“What are you? Never seen anything like you before.”

The creature remained silent, and instead of replying, it raised his arm and swatted it at Cosmo as if he were swatting a fly. Cosmo watched it fast approach but didn't dodge. The moment it collided with Cosmo, the creature thought that it would fly across the forest in a matter of seconds but for some reason, its hand didn't budge. He put more strength against his arm and it did move, but it was only for a few steps.

Its hand was then swatted away in turn, letting him see the human he thought was going to crush.

“You. You're underestimating me aren't you.”

The creature was surprised. But not enough to become impressed by the human. The creature then took a step back, raised its fists, and sent it hurling against Cosmo. His fists burned bright with red flames. Cosmo grinned widely and replied in kind. He summoned his weapon and gathered immense thunder in his fist. He met the creature's fight head on but seemed that he was biting more than he could chew.

Their fists collided with a shower of lightning and flames. The impact of it created an energy field that swept past their surroundings, creating a burning field that surrounded them. Cosmo didn't want to lose in terms of strength but unfortunately, he was thrown back and sent crashing and skidding across the forest.

The creature looked on indifferently, already expecting the outcome as if it were inevitable. It was indeed startled that the human was able to meet its attack head-on, but it was only a simple fist. That was it. It turned its back on Cosmo and made its way toward the black wall. It could feel it. The end of the thing that was behind it was reaching its climax. There was no more time to be wasted.

“Hey! Were not done. We are far from done.”

Cosmo said, as he floated back to his previous place and spat out the dirt that he accidentally soured. He felt his mouth tasting like the earth itself, rage bubbling inside of him as he wanted to wash it down with the blood of the creature in front of it. But there was another feeling that was overtaking his anger. It was the feeling of being alive.

He summoned his weapon. It changed and formed once more. It had a long shaft that was taller than him, and at the tip of it was a rectangular block of metal that was inscribed with mysterious runes. The creature was annoyed, feeling that the human was a cockroach that refused to die. It had enough.

The creature's body started radiating immense heat, burning off what remained of any semblance of life in its surroundings. Cosmo blocked his eyesight from the monster, as he said.

“Are you a fucking circus? A light show?”

The monster did not know what those words meant, but it felt insulated as it leaped into the sky and a titanic fist toward Cosmo.

Cosmo, not wanting to lose again, charged his hammer again with white lightning, and met the creature head-on. Fist and Warhammer collided, creating a burst of wind that fluttered across the forest. This time Cosmo was able to match it, as he grinned and sent another swing against the monster.

The creature landed and met the Warhammer head-on. Their clash sent booms of fire, lightning, and sound that spared none of the spectators. The two monsters that were previously unconscious woke up, saw the fight, and made their way out of the ring. They knew that they would only be incidental casualties.

Cosmo started laughing, as he felt that this was the moment where he felt he was most alive. He dodged one of the monster's fists, teleported beside the monster's head, and slammed his Warhammer against its head. The creature felt the impact and was dazed, as he briefly started falling towards the ground. It landed on its ass and blankly looked at the human that humiliated him.

It took a few seconds for him to be clear-headed, and felt utter rage. It screamed at Cosmo, his mouth spewing a burst of flame that seemed to be stronger than the lizard. Cosmo knew that facing it head-on was a fool's errand.

But he did it anyway as he felt that this was the most fun outcome. He coated his whole body with pure white lightning, intending to go through the flames itself and strike the creature's head. He raised his hammer and started crashing towards the giant like a meteor that fell from the sky.

The creature's breath was being torn apart as Cosmo came closer. The creature, not wanting to lose to a human, strengthened its output as the temperature it was enough to melt the rock walls that once imprisoned him. It seemed to be working, as his flames were no longer scattering.

It was then that he felt something hard crash against its face, its mouth was then closed, and his torso started crashing into the ground. Its eyes were showing full whites, as it lay on the ground without movement. The person behind it, Cosmo, was looking over the giant with a look of satisfaction.

“Well, that was fun. Now it's time to let Cosmo deal with the consequences.”

As he said that, his charred figure started falling.
