Once again old man winter came around to the Hylian Continent. Around the world many freeze as temperatures drop below freezing in many areas. However in Kylia things were looking much better.
Mass production of textile items such as winter coats, hats, gloves, socks, blankets and even shoes were churned out of the newly born textile factory months prior beforehand.
Streets that would be largely abandoned during the Kylian winter were filled with merchants, workers, and children, all doing daily activities that used to be only done during the summer time.
According to the Kylian census, the growth rate of many Items on the list are now rising explosively.

With the newly constructed light industries running, Kylia decided to show her subordinates the future of warfare.
Taking Fermer, Stalevi and Roshi out of the heavy industrial district they were inspecting, Kylia took them into her wagon. Because of the size of the wagon, two guards that were brought along had to walk on foot outside the wagon with Roshi driving it on the pulling horse.
“Note to self,” Kylia thought to herself,” European carriage technology needs to be introduced if we want more efficient ways of travel.”
The four came all the way to the edge of the city, where a newly constructed highly defensive barracks stood there.
Compared to all the other industrial buildings that were propped up in a year’s time, this building had been in the process of renovation for three years until it was completed just this year.
For such an important piece of infrastructure, Kylia did not want to take any shortcuts in construction, as this encampment is vital to the national security of the entire Kylian state.
"And this is?” Stalevi led Fermer and Roshi to see a strange stick, Both had never seen such a thing, so Roshi asked curiously.
Standing in front of them was a dark steel tube attached to a wooden stock. Under the tube were various metal mechanisms that both of them could not understand.
"With this, the heaviest armored knight could be killed within a single shot before they even have a chance to get close." Stalevi proudly explained the invention to Fermer. “This is the most powerful weapon I have ever created!”
What Stalevi had really presented was the newly manufactured HV15, HV stands for гвинтівка or Hvyntivka in English letters, which means rifle in ukrainian. The 15 at the end stands for the iteration of the rifle, of which there were 14 other models created before this one came out.
The performance of this rifle is about on par with the famous Mauser 98k, with a slightly lower fire rate per minute but making it up in increased accuracy. This is because Kylia’s ammunition production capabilities and reserves are too primitive to keep up with the Mauser’s original fire rate, so they built this rifle for ammunition efficiency.
The factory for the weapons and ammunition was just recently opened up for production, not even the building surrounding it was fully completed yet.
While there are some drawbacks compared to the original design, it is still the world's first firearm, a new weapon that will rewrite the way war is waged.
Kylia picked up the rifle, trotting towards the firing range she turned the safety off as she loaded the gun and took aim from 1000 meters away.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
All three subordinates held their breaths as they watched Kylia feel the trigger, adjusting her aim with subtle movements.
“BAM!” The rifle barked right when Kylia applied the slightest pressure to the trigger. An 8mm round screamed toward the target, its initial velocity exceeding the speed of sound. The target, a row of scarecrows wearing full steel plate armor, were helpless against the round that pierce right through all of them, flying a bit further out before being embedded into the ground.
"Huuuuuuuuuuuh?" Fermer and Roshi looked at the targets with slack jaw amazement, struggling to comprehend what had just happened.
While Roshi and Fermer knew of Sheikah technology that dominated in Hyrule to the east, this demonstration was the equivalent of performing magic for all they cared for.
"It's not magic or a firestick," Kylia declared, laughter dancing in her eyes as she waved a hand toward Stalevi, who was sporting a grin so wide it seemed to stretch his face to its limits. “This is the HV15 Rifle, a war weapon developed by Me, Stalevi and a team of artisans, the future of war!"
Sweating profusely, Roshi quimmered hopefully for her sanity, “That's all there is to it, right?”
"Of course not!" Kylia took the group to a hidden structure that had a tarp hung over it, raising her voice she ordered some soldiers to begin uncovering it.
“HUUUUUH?!” both exclaimed at the swollen looking iron tube that laid before them, or a 75mm HA3 Cannon. HA stands for Гармата or Harmata in English letters, which means Cannon in ukrainian.
Staring at the much larger steel barrel with wheels on the ground, Fermer stammered,”How much more p-powerful is THAT thing!”
“Watch and find out!” Kylia laughed, then she pointed towards a distant hill,”Sergeant Artyleriya, I don’t like that direction!”
“Yes my Valord, erasing that direction!” the tall female Rohati Sergeant responded.
Kylia did not have to wait too long as a squad of artillery men stepped forward and began to fill the cannon in front of them with ammunition.
While they are new recruits, they also have been trained by good instructors, so they are somewhat proficient in preparing the cannon, and soon they are ready to fire.
"BOOOM!" The loud sound of the sky made Roshi, who was unprepared, fall to the ground. The rest watched the entire cannon recoiled from the force of the backlash itself. Only a moment later, mud, rocks and soil flew into view in the direction of the hill. When the debris cleared to reveal a tall valley where a perfectly round hill once stood.
“Please don’t tell me you have more to show us…” Roshi was now praying on the ground, hoping that no more scary explosions would appear out of bigger and larger cannons.
“Nothing of that kind of caliber.” Kylia assured her. ”However I want to show you the new organization method of the Blue Army.”
Entering the actual barracks, Kylia leads the group to a special room in the center of the building. In the room a large desk with papers and maps were being analyzed by knights in newly manufactured military outfits.
Comprising a blue base color with streaks of black and silver, the uniforms looked very prestigious. The black boots and gloves paired with the outfits added a dash of masculine charm to these special people. Along with a ukrainian cossack sword around the waist and a famous black cap with a blue sidward K on it these soldiers can only be described as “perfect”.
Kylia had specifically chosen these knights to be the leaders of the Blue Army for their acceptance to new technology, tactics and their youth.
Placing her hand on the shoulder of a young, yet bearded Rohati man, Kylia explained to her subordinates,”Segent Odin here will show you all the new military infrastructure and system.”
Odin glanced at Kylia before continuing on,”Okay, listen up civilians, you may all know that the State of Kylia had been in an age of reconstruction for three years, improving the strength of our land and that includes the military too.”
“First off this room is our headquarters where strategies, logistics and info is gathered for review and execution.” Odin lectured.
Leading the group into a big compartment filled with soldiers using various exercise equipment, Odin turned around and instructed,”this is the gym, where all soldiers go to exercise to increase fitness, only with sufficient strength can our Blue Army win against its adversaries!
After Kylia’s civilian subordinates were done inspecting the sweaty gym, they arrived in an equally large yet empty compartment filled with tables, chairs and a kitchen.
“This is the Mess Hall, where all soldiers go to eat. Three meals per day, consisting of meat, dairy, vegetables and fruit for our troops. Only with sufficient nutrition can our Blue Army perform at its greatest!” Odin shouted for all to hear.
Onwards, they arrived outside a large building in the encampment. Inside were rows of rifles, swords, armor and uniforms ready for use along with crates filled with supplies.
“This is our stockpile, which holds all of our gear and supplies, without these the Blue Army would be stranded to city defense.” Odin then mumbled,”I prefer to leave this to Sergeant Vahon to manage.”
Arriving back at a large circular building that surrounded the Headquarters, Odin explained adamantly. “This is our proper barracks, where our men sleep, nothing too exciting, just beds for tired soldiers.”
Finally the group arrived back outside at the target range, at this time phalanxes of troops were now performing drills for combat.
“As you have already visited this area you know that this is our practice range, it is also where we perform various combat drills to instill discipline, loyalty and competency into our troops.”
“Now you have visited everything this encampment has to offer.” Odin moved onto the next thing.”It's time you learned the new military command structure of the Blue Army.”
“As of the new recent military expansion, the Blue Army comprises 57 soldiers in total. These soldiers are divided into five squads of ten led by sergeants. I, Odin, am the Sergeant of the 1st Cavalry squad.”
“Oh wait, it looks like they're here already!” Odin interrupted his own train of speech as two Sergeants that were leading two clearly defined phalanxes stopped in front of the group of Kylia’s civilian subordinates. Wearing steel padded gray uniforms with a black cap showing a signature sideward blue K on the front, each soldier held onto their HV15 Kylian Rifle in a neat position.
“See that tall skinny Rohati male to the left,” Odin pointed towards his left,“that is Sergeant Yuter of the 1st Infantry squad. The shorter girl Rohati to the right is Sergeant Aviasti of the 2nd Infantry squad.”
“You already met Sergeant Artyleriya of the 1st Artillery squad so we are skipping onto the most important squad of all.” Odin took a breath to recover his voice as a tall Rohati man with long hair led a squad of men riding horses that were pulling carts onto the field.
“What is that,” Roshi asked curiously.
“That is Sergeant Vahon of the 1st logistics squad. Without him, our rifles, which depend on ammunition to become and stay deadly, will turn back into useless firesticks that can only be used to whack an enemy to death.” Odin explained.
Fermer had an epiphany.”So the reason these squads exist is to divide the responsibilities of the entire army to specialized parts so that as a whole the army functions with much greater efficiency.”
Correct!” Odin nodded to Farmer's statement, “another reason why the military is now separated into these groups is to promote tactical freedom on the field, proper mobilization and synergy between all the special parts of the military.”
“The age of mobs is over, now a new era military strategy is beginning to spread across the continent.” Odin prophesied.
Odin concluded,”as long as we keep innovating this new military system I believe that the Blue Army will become a completely unstoppable force in the future!”
Unbeknownst to Odin, decades later the Blue Army would become the most powerful in the entire world, stretching from the east Hylian sea, to the Kylian homeland the Blue Army is the strongest of them all.
