Gazing around at the foot of a rocky mound, 20 year old Kylia bent down examining a special rock she had found in the pile.
Local miners in the area claimed that any wildlife that entered the area would suddenly stagger and die within seconds without any indication of harm.
Kylia, Valord of the western states, is not a normal person, or human at all, if there are any in this world. Blue hair, two pairs of blue wings and a signature black sideward K shaped horn on the forehead, Kylia was definitely NOT human. If you look closely in her eyes, her irises contain dozens of pupil-like slits that would creep out any Ophthalmologist. Out in the west, away from the Hylians, Gorons, Rito, Zora, and Gerudo of Hyrule Kingdom, there are a couple of other sentient species out there.
The Rohati, the most populous race in the West can be found almost everywhere in all of the western states, from the most southern state of Zeleny, to the Northern West tip of Viskov. They are probably the most “humanlike” out of all races, possessing only a biological iron horn on the forehead above the gap where brows meet, 300 year lifespan, and are slightly taller on average compared to humans.
Then there's the Drakons, which can be divided into two subspecies. The Lavovy of the Northwest and the Nihovy of the Northeast.
The Lavovy people generally live in the region known as the State of Viskov, on the Northwest corner of the Hylian continent. The state is filled with clusters of volcanoes and mountains to the southeast, the Viskov floodplains in the center and the coast to the west. However, a significant chunk of the population lives in various city states down south on the Fermerian floodplain. Contrary to the popular belief of most races, the Lavovy people do not mind the cold too much, it's just their heat tolerance is much higher than most other species.
The Nihovy people generally live in the region known as the State of Sovi, on the Northeast corner of the Hylian continent. The state is entirely dominated by tundra and taiga, nothing else. Most Nohovy people live in the State of Sovi and few go down south as they are very accustomed to the cold.
Drakons look dominantly human except for a pair of biological iron horns pointing backward on their heads and a pair of dragon wings on their backs. Depending on the subspecies they are either dyed blackish red for Lavovys or whitish-blue for Nihovys Lifespan is also 300 years.
Finally, there’s the Valors, which are revered by many as the strongest species in the Western States.
The Valors are the least populous race with only a single family of eight that are alive at this date. Most of them are leaders of all the major states of the west, called “Valords.” Many species cozy up to the Valors to hide away from the countless monsters in the wilderness. Not much else is known about them except for that the eldest of the family are very powerful and that they have a life span that can range 1000s of years.
“Hmmm.” Picking up the rock, Kylia fumbled it around her fingers, humming in interest in how such a normal pile of rocks could cause such a commotion.
“Huh?” Suddenly she felt disorientated, the world spinning in her vision. Lifting herself up with a groan, she quickly ran away from the supposed source of the discomfort as the dizziness started to take a hold on her mind.

“Hurrgggg!” Clutching her stomach a hundred meters away from the pile she leaned down, her face paling as nausea surged through her body, puking all over the place. With little warning, she choked, blood running down from her mouth onto the rocky ground. Kylia’s hands trembled and clenched into fists. Soon uncontrollable spasms wracked her body as she gasped for breath. The world around her started to blur as she then passed out, sprawling onto the ground into a ditch filled with mud.
Unconscious, but not in a stable condition.
Unbeknownst to her, the seemingly drab yellowish pile of rocks were really several hundred kilograms of Autunite, one of the most radioactive rocks in the world, containing a PMS index of 40,000, four times the lethal dose for the average human.
Meanwhile inside Kylia’s body all sorts of turmoil started to appear as the radiation started sweeping within, disrupting countless cells with each wave.
The Valor is a unique race that sacrificed the survival of the species for the survival of the individual. It takes 1000 years for a Valor to mature, during which the cells within the body absorb countless amounts plus types of energy through special organelles that can transform any type of energy received into thermal, electrical, kinetic, and chemical energy which is then stored into different organelles for later use. Other types of organelles take in the energy acquired to use for breaking down ingested material, synthesizing Nanomaterials such as Graphene, Carbon Nanotubes Metallic Glass, Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber (UHMWPE), Boron Nitride Nanotubes, Lonsdaleite, Diamond, Aerogel to strengthen the body and increase energy storage capacity.
As such Kylia’s body does have some means to “fight back”. Cells would capture the radiation particles, using the energy to construct countless defenses for the body to fight back.
However as time went on many more cells died than upgraded themselves because the sheer amount of high powered particles exceeded the limit these organelles could carry, causing these cells to quickly become unstable with the intention to explode.
After all, compared to a 1000 year old Valor which is a superhuman existence who relies on thermal, kinetic and electrical energy to survive. 20 year old Kylia is barely stronger than your average male Joe and predominantly uses ATP energy to function properly. Most cells still retain soapy fat based cell walls with no special Nanomaterials ingrained inside of them.
If you could shrink down to the size of a cell, you would see countless cells exploding in miniature nuclear explosions, which in turn starts a terrible reaction of poor man's “Nuclear Fission” as nearby atoms that were relatively unstable also started to emit radiation each time they were hit with high energy particles that were roaming around.
Major organs started failing, the skin burned away, precious water and nutrients were lost. Temperatures soared from a healthy young Valor’s 37 Degrees Celcius to a toasty 80 Degrees Celsius, Radiation levels continued to soar, a third of all cells died from radiation, and the rest were roasted by the thermal energy flying around.
At this point death would have been announced if this was in a hospital setting, if it wasn't for the 61 million souls that decided to take refuge in this body at this moment.
Cells that were destroyed by radiation or thermal energy suddenly were restored back into their alive state without any energy inside of them but with all of the improvements that were made still intact.
The Cells then would ferociously absorb all energy plus material around them, manufacturing material that repaired and improved the quality of the body with efficiency that would make biologists tremble to take a sample of each cell.
Some excess material that was stripped from the cell and couldn’t be used was turned into energy to feed upgrading cells, keeping thermal energy high.
As stores of material were exhausted inside the body, skin cells looked outside at all the mud gathered around and started drawing material inside for use.
Every time a cell showed a hint of instability, it would be suppressed and forcibly reverted to its stable state. This cycle would continue on for a couple minutes before temperatures were lowered to a new tolerable level.
At this time, 61 million souls rearranged themselves, linking to Kylia’s soul, and narrowed into four supplementary” traits” for Kylia. Andrew, Lonna, Putin(Uh oh) and Ema, which represents Engineering, Technology, Military, and Culture.
Kylia, Unconscious and on the brink of death had unknowingly become stupidly overpowered within just a few minutes, gaining power that would take a Valor 100 years to gain and knowledge that comprised all who died in 2024-2025.
