I let out a sigh as I put on the glasses that had been placed next to me.
The room I am currently in is both familiar and unfamiliar.
It is Kunti's room, no, it was because her stuff is no longer in the room. She would be leaving the city soon.
It completely erased the evidence of Kunti's presence, leaving only fragments scattered throughout.
Moving from the bed, I realised my tiredness had disappeared. Not just in the body but also in mentality. I felt like I could do another Copy with my current mental stability.
Glancing a little at my wrist, the watch indicated that I was quite healthy.
Too healthy.
I can feel some of my memories have been muddled, which has made my mentality relatively 'normal'. Although I know they would return back soon if I didn't read my life book in a few days.
As I peered down, I spotted one of the subtle indications of human habitation. I bend over to reach the object beside my feet.
I pick up a remnant of gauze. It's coarse and uncomfortable for the skin. The thought of wearing them for years makes me frown.
The gauze went into my pocket, and with it, I reached the door.
Outside the room, there are three people who shouldn’t have been here. I gave my glasses a quick wipe just to be sure, but the individuals remained the same.
Anna, Daniel, and Danny.
Anna sits at the dinner table, where Kunti and I have been enjoying our meal. Daniel and Danny sit comfortably on the chair. The Twin Knights didn’t wear their armour so the chair could hold on to their weight, instead, they wore a simple darkish grey suit.
“You have been sleeping too long, it's the next day right now.”
Anna's eyes dart around as she starts speaking. Her feet dangling up and down leisurely.
“The thing, no, the Ghost you summoned… She killed Alloces while Susan managed to narrowly escape. Then… She went berserk.”
Anna recounted what had happened as I looked around the house. There is no sight of Jacob and Kunti. On the corner of the room, I spotted the bags that contained their clothes.
Kunti's belongings are still here, but where is she?
“She attacked some of my subordinates while we tried hard to stop her. Then, she appeared to be drawn towards something in the direction of King Castle."
Anna and her force seem to be not overly hostile towards Demons matter, at least towards me and Kunti.
“Just when she wanted to go, the Hero and his Party arrived out of nowhere. They seem to have given up searching for the 'missing' Saintess in the sea. They did some quick work on the ghost… They are so strong.”
The pinkish red hair noble said the last part quietly and with bitterness.
“With the gh-”
I can no longer resist the urge to ask Anna.
“Where is Kunti? And her younger brother Jacob?”
Her lips quiver before she turns her head away from me. Her eyes focused on her shoe, which had stopped moving around.
“Jacob is safe, we evacuated him to a territory under my direct control. He should be enjoying a dessert in one of my mansions by now.”
It's fortunate that Jacob is safe, but... she didn't talk about Kunti.
“Then?”
“The woman that lives in here, she is a Demon… When we got back here, she was already in the process of detainment. I wanted to express that I had exerted all of my power to prevent the Inquisition from taking any further unnecessary actions, Unfortunately, they had decided to"
I walk closer to the trio. Danny and Daniel stand up to my reaction.
“Giving her a public execution. She is judged as a Witch Demon and the King planned to blame all the recent events on her.
There is nothing we can do to the King because we lost our main power and justifica-”
“Silent.”

Anna stared at her wet brown shoes. They should have been the pure white shoes that most nobles like her would use, but with how much she moves around these days, they are now severely tainted.
She still finds it amusing how much she detested the sight of dirt on her shoes ten years ago.

Looking up, Anna sized up the dark-haired man in front of her. Anna was unaware that the man's eyes had changed color. Even if they are hidden by a spectacle and some bang, she could spot the difference, they now have deep, dark void eyes.
He remained calm, expressing his resentment silently. Anna hated being stared at by such eyes, which is why she averted her eyes.
Rivan current eyes… It reminded Anna of when her cousin trusted the Twin Knight under her allegiance.
Lost.
“She is alive, though.”
She softly muttered. It’s like she was intentionally trolling him, she subverted his emotion at the last step. As the Saintess wished.
“The public execution will happen when the sun is the brightest.”
He didn't act like they were expected when she provided incomplete information. What is the purpose of these two individuals standing up if Rivan did not express any anger towards her?
The only expected reaction that truly happens is his next question.
“Where?”
And his next action. After asking, Rivan went to his bag. He goes through his entire bag. Now he is wearing a gglove that matches his clothes, and placed the glasses back inside the bag.
“The castle garden. As of right now, there isn't enough time to wait for the Sain-”
“Where is my Grimoire?”
Grimoire…
“You mean the book? It is with the Saintess.”
“I see, Lady Anna thank you for helping me so far, but I must leave immediately. Let’s meet again someday.”
As if he didn’t want to be stopped, Rivan left the house in a hurry.
Well, she actually doesn’t want to stop him at all. Danny, who is now sitting on the chair again, resonate what she is thinking.
“The process skewed up a bit, but at least the result is as we wanted, right?”
“Yes. Its as the Saintess wanted.”
Now they are no longer involved. Because there were only three of them, Daniel lost all of his reservations.
“Why are you annoyed, Anna? Is it because we lost the chance to kill the King? We can search for another opportunity, and don't you find it problematic to include the innocent in our rebellion?
“No, not that. I am just confused as to why the Saintess keeps the real plan so tight. It’s not like her previous plans, where everything was consistent and open. Then there is the matter about what will happen next.”
“Why did she retrieve the Grimoire back, then prevent me from using my influence to delay the public execution until she can appear, and lastly, order me to guide Rivan to a certain death.”
It feels like it's not the Saintess plan. Someone else wanted this certain events to happen.
Whose plan is it? The System God? No, if it were, we should have assisted the Hero from the start instead of moving covertly in the background. She also didn't believe the System God to plan such intricately.
Speaking of the Hero, why is he helping the King? He sided with the Rebellion in the Empire, but offered help to the King in the Kingdom of Heart.
Was the Metal King in need of help from the Kingdom of Heart for his Rebellion against the Emperor? No, he has the support of the other two Elements King. The Emperor's main supporters are only the Dukes, Margaves, and Demons. The balance of power is quite even.
Not to mention the current Crown Prince in our kingdom is very favourable to getting an alliance with the Metal King instead of leaning with the Church extreme faction like the current King.
Why doesn't the Hero decision make any sense?
Anna stopped thinking as her headache began to intensify. She stood up and went to the door.
“Let’s go. If we can’t do anything, then we can just be spectators in there.”
Danny's next words made her hesitate. The twins raised themselves from the chairs and followed their lady.
"My Lady, did you forget the Saint's advice not to watch the public execution? My personal feelings also warn me we would suffer if we go there.”
The Duchess seems to be thinking for awhile before coming to a decision.
“Then let’s go on a date, it's been awhile since the last time the three of us enjoyed ourselves. I am also craving for some meat and candy right now.”
Daniel shouted in response.
“No candy! It's not good for your health.”
Why are they so adamant about that. Did they forget that candy excited my mana? My mana is only 40% filled up right now due to recent event. Right, mana…
Rivan has no mana. Even with the slightest amount, I wonder how he activated his system without mana?
When the question comes to mind, it immediately disappears from her memory.
“I will get my candy no matter what. As your master, I order you to not stop me!”
Anna turned to her Twin Knights giving them her order that wouldn’t be followed by them. After that, she clapped twice.
Row upon row of Anna's subordinates stood in line outside the shabby house. Few are direct servants of the duchy, while most are secret forces she has accumulated over the past years.
She recruits thugs, privateers, mercenaries, pirates, and adventurers from various islands and major cities across the kingdom. Loyal only to her whether due to money, favours, gratitude, and others.
With the complete eradication of the Wild Boys that control the Underworld in the Heart city, her forces will rush in to gobble up their former territory.
Consequently, she will wield significant authority over the Underworld Society within the Kingdom.
“All of you, go back to work. And avoid going to the castle.”
Watching them leave, Anna brushed her hair behind her ear and thought.
They will follow all of my orders, unlike the two fools behind me…
~~~~~
One of the last remaining Demons in the Heart city who works for the Demon King is currently spying on the procession of the public execution.
She thought she was ‘conscious’, she didn’t know something had her will controlled.
The being saw the event from the Demon she had taken over. It sure that today's event will be messed up, like the previous days.
After all, the being has spent the effort to actually foresee the fate instead of lazing around on the bed. According to the divination, something major will happen soon.
It directed its gaze towards the shackled woman on the stage. The concealment hidden inside her soul can be seen since It personally inspected her.
“That blessing…”
As if on cue, a hand tapped on the shoulder.
“Hi, I am here for food.”
The being didn’t look back. It only said in response to the greeting.
"So, it's your job. You didn’t tell me about that other part of her soul. You broke our agreement.”
"He secretly smuggled them into your world when the child was born. You were in a deep sleep at the time, and you didn't consult us during the negotiation process."
The being turned its body towards the owner of the hand.
“I hate the both of you. Why are you here? Seriously.”
“Didn't I tell you? Lunch. Come on, I'm missing home-cooked food. She said, Lunch won't start until you go down.”
Hearing the answer, the being sighed as it killed the Demon and stood up from its old chair. They headed to the door.
“I will beat you up if this messes up with my project.”
“It won’t.”
After temporarily ceasing to observe Idam's world, no one will be able to disrupt the fate.
The being dazed at the hungry being suspiciously. It know there is one more thing the food beggar wanted with how they smile.
The prediction is correct.
“I wanted to use the favour for waking you up from your long sleep.”
The being flinched, since it's a huge favour to be used, then it must be very troublesome.
“I need you to distract Time. You can do it, right?”
