Chapter 4 Whoops?

Chapter 4 Whoops?

It had been a few months since the meeting with Tyrion and Irian and during that time all Solstice did was train. He got called by Bela to talk to her about something private, so he was currently on his way to her room in the cabin.

As he made his way, he saw his mother give him a smile and said, “Don't let that temptress get the best of you.” She knew Bela arguably the best and knew that she had a strong interest in her son. She just hoped she wouldn't tease the kid too much.

Finally, when he made his way to her room, he knocked but was only met with silence. Curiously he opened the door and all he could see was Bela was only covered by a towel. His face immediately got beet red, and he tried to close the door, but she grabbed him and threw into the room to close the door.

“Well, I didn't think you were at the age already of being a pervert my dear Solstice.” smirked Bela. As Solstice was trying to avert his eyes, she kept inching closer making him more and more nervous.

“Oh, come on Solstice, we’ve known each other for years, I know you've always wanted to look!” teased Bela, but all Solstice could do was get even more red and stay silent. Bela loved this side of Solstice. When he was fighting or doing something he loved, he was straight forward and determined. But when faced with Bela? He reverted to his actual age and crumbled under her teasing. Bela found it incredibly cute and pure, she was waiting to eat him up when he came of age, but she wasn't going to say that to anyone.

“Fine, fine, I'll put some clothes on, just know you're missing out.” Bela said as she waved her hands, once she did her clothes materialized out of thin air and she was back to having a maroon-colored short dress on.

“I called you here to talk about a few serious things and two opportunities. Ready?”

As soon as Solstice heard this he perked up and immediately recovered his composure to listen to her.

Solstice was obsessed with fighting just like his dad was, but he was frustrated recently since he had no real way to get stronger until the ceremony to awaken his mana. He was stuck at a plateau which is funny considering he's only ten years old, but nonetheless he wished to stand at the peak like his parents.

“If you decide to go through with this, it can’t be known by your parents. Do you trust me?” Bela asked in an unusually serious tone. Solstice had never known Bela to be a serious person so he knew what he was doing could be dangerous, but he was all for it so all he did was nod.

“Very well, hold still, close your eyes and don’t scream please.” asked Bela in a caring voice. She placed her left hand on his head and placed her other hand randomly in the air. She began to funnel mana from the air into her body, then into Solstice which surprised him by how much pain he was feeling. His body hadn’t awakened mana yet, so his body wasn’t used to it. He began to tear up, but this pain was nothing compared to what Shael would do to him while training. Being pounded into the ground multiple meters deep really grows your pain tolerance.

After a few minutes passed Bela pulled her hand back and sat down on her bed. Her eyes had a little blood coming from them, but she wiped it off before Solstice could see it. Right when Solstice opened his eyes all he saw was a transparent man staring at him. He could instantly tell that he was powerful or used to be at least.

Bela finally collected herself and said “Solstice, meet Victor, the only human in thousands of years who could beat your father to a pulp. If he wasn’t a complete bum that is.” Remarked Bela.

“I take no offense to that, but Heya kid, I was your dad's best friend. I mean until I died that is, this white cunt won't let me die.” Said Victor in a nonchalant tone. At least in this form Victor could just watch and not actually have to put work in anymore. When Solstice heard the introduction from them his eyes widened. This was Victor, his dad talked about him sometimes but never told him what happened.

Maybe with this guy he could finally create the fighting style he had envisioned all those years ago. But before he could say anything he blacked out.

“Dammit Victor, did you completely fuse with him?” Said Bela in an angry tone.

“Ha whoops?” Said Victor in an apathetic tone. Victor had fully infused Solstice's soul which hurt him for the time being and overloaded his body. Victor had a special condition which he just passed to Solstice. When Solstice would wake up, he would be in for a surprise.
