“Dude, your an idiot.” Carter said blankly to Solstice.
“I’m trying Carter.” Solstice still hadn’t made it out of the first chapter of his book yet and it had been almost a week.
“How people in your world get by without knowing this is incredible.” For the hundredth time Carter began to explain what gravity was at its core. Once again Solstice didn’t get it.
“Ya know what, maybe you're a visual learner, let’s take this to the training room.” Carter led Solstice to the training he finished recently, and it was incredible.
It was an all-metal room lined with blue energy coursing through the walls that would dampen magical attacks, and even had dummies that could calculate how much force you hit it with without being destroyed.
“Go ahead and start using gravity on that dummy.”
Solstice followed what Carter said and began to try and force the dummy down.
“What you’re doing right now is making the center of gravity a wide field below the dummy, so try condensing the center to directly below the dummy.”
Solstice began to imagine a small ball under the dummy at the center and slowly but surely, the pressure began to ramp up rapidly before he couldn’t condense it anymore.
“It’s pretty simple right? Just imagine a center where you need it and you’ll be fine. The next step is learning about gravitons and boy is that going to ramp up your power.” Carter was excited to see what kind of shit he was going to come up with for Solstice to try.
While Carter and Solstice were at the training field, the girls were having a serious talk.
“Do you know how we’re supposed to get home?” Luna asked Harumi.
“I only get visions about events, not how they occur. But if I had to guess? Probably when Solstice masters his spatial powers.” Spatial magic was incredibly powerful if used correctly, but even the seemingly omnipotent power had limitations. It wasn’t set in stone clearly since Ariel did it but transporting people through dimensions and even planets was something that took an absurd amount of mana that was almost impossible to come up with.
“So, we’re here until he gets stronger? Sounds like more quality time with my future husband.” Luna smirked while thinking about how to slightly prolong the time they spent here in the abyss.
“I second that, but we still need to get stronger.” Lily shyly agreed to a certain extent.
“For now, just focus on your books, Solstice is hopeless when it comes from something other than visual learning so it could take a long time.” Luna said as she sat back in her bunk bed and started flipping through pages.
Harumi sat quietly before getting up to go check on Solstice and his new teacher.
When she entered the training room all she saw was Carter yelling at how stupid Solstice was and couldn’t help but giggle out loud. This caught the attention of them both and Carter decided to call a short break so Solstice could talk to the fox kin.
Solstice walked over and just rubbed his shoulder, he was embarrassed since he was used to excelling at everything but clearly learning from a book wasn’t one of them.
“Seeing this in person is much more enjoyable than seeing it in dreams.” Harumi said while looking off into the distance. They both had wandered into a room that had an outlook over the valley the mountain sat on.
“You saw me in dreams?”
“Yep, I think around twelve or thirteen the dreams started and all I ever saw was you and your journey.”
“Is that why you jumped in with me? I mean honestly, we don’t even know each other.” Harumi seemed much more attached to him than he was to her, but now was his chance to find out why.
“I felt like I had a duty I guess you could say, after seeing how much pain you were going to endure, I just couldn’t stop myself. After so many years of seeing bits and pieces of the future I guess I got really attached to you. My father always said it was set in stone but clearly it isn’t, I mean all three of us girls are here and that wasn’t part of the future I saw.”
“You mean I was alone in your dreams?”
“You still met Carter but yeah, and how you turned out after this journey wasn't very good…” Harumi’s heart ached at how broken and lost Solstice was in her visions.
“Can you tell me about some of it?” Solstice was curious what kind of hardships he would suffer in the future.

“I’d rather not, they’re disgusting and won’t happen now. Maybe after we get out of here, I’ll share some?” Harumi was clearly not going to let anything slip out at this point of time, so Solstice gave up for the time being.
“Thanks for coming with me at least, it’d get rather lonely if I had to deal with Carter by myself.” Solstice winced at the thought of only having Carter to chat with for God knows how long he would be stuck here.
“Deep down he’s a good guy, just a little weird.” Harumi laughed while looking at the weird colored clouds.
For a few minutes neither Solstice nor Harumi said anything until finally Harumi spoke up.
“I know you don’t really know how to feel about me yet, but I just want you to know that I’ll always be cheering for you. So will Lily and Luna, they always appeared in my dreams and always stood by your side. So maybe you should start being proactive with both of them. They did follow you into this hell hole just for the sake of being with you, me too of course.” Harumi threw in the last part and the top of her ears got red from embarrassment.
“I’ll try my best…” Solstice was shy when it came to matters of the heart since he never really had time to pursue those feelings but maybe now was the time.
“How about no? Get back here you imbecile.” Carter appeared out of nowhere and ruined the entire atmosphere.
“I don’t want to see this fufu shit, keep it out of my sight.” Carter was incredibly envious of Solstice and didn’t bother trying to conceal it at all.
Solstice just laughed it off and went back to the training with Carter while Harumi went back to her room and started attempting to get closer with the two other girls.
—- 1 Month Later in Aevis
Slowly Telarion began to wake up and felt his body was incredibly stiff. After a few seconds he began to remember how he had fight tooth and nail to escape from Cinder and Alpha 2 and got worried for a second.
“Calm down honey, you’re home now.” He heard his wife’s sweet voice from the side and instantly calmed down.
“How long was I out?” Telarion nervously asked.
“In Aevis time? Around two months.” Ariel casually replied.
“Did you purge Cinders faction?” Telarion remembered how when he fought Cinder he had the aid of many S-Rankers from two other dukes of hell.
“He’s dead, along with the other dukes and invaders we had sealed up.” Even now Ariel was sounding robotic almost like she practiced.
“Phew that’s good, where’s my son at? I bet he killed his fair share of invaders, right?” But Telarion was met with only silence.
“Ariel, answer me.” After a few moments he heard words that incited massive amounts of anger he didn’t know he even had.
“He’s gone..” is all Ariel said.
“Explain to me. Now Ariel.”
“We uh… teleported him away with the invaders… to the abyss..” Telarion could hear Ariel choking up and decided to not press too hard.
“Whose plan was it to sacrifice our boy…” Telarion felt like he already knew the answer, but he had to hear it.
“My sister… but I enforced the plan.”
Immediately after she finished that sentence a slap echoed throughout the room. Ariel felt to the floor and rubbed her face that was bright red. Telarion didn’t smack as hard as he could but just enough to make her feel something.
“I thought you were past this set-in stone garbage but clearly not.” With that Telarion kicked down the door to his room and left his home. Shortly after Bela appeared and saw Ariel on the floor profusely crying.
“I know you see your sister as some omnipotent god in your eyes but sometimes you’ve got to go against the flow. You primordials think so highly of yourselves it disgusts me, you all act like the end all be all. Own your fucking mistake and fix it.” Bela was helpless to stop the plan with Solstice, but it didn’t mean she didn’t do anything.
“I met with your son the day before you sent him away. I left a mark on his soul so I can keep track of him, he’s alive at the very least.” Hearing this made Ariel cry even more.
“I bet those three girls are with him too, Ryota is fucking pissed, Irian is livid, and Luther already punished his guards who were watching his daughter.”
Ariel at this point had snot running down her face from tears and was ever so slightly giggling at seeing how attached the girls were to his son.
“Clean yourself up, you look filthy. We’ve got to help locate the last of the invaders. Plus, I hear the stargate is acting weird.” Hearing this Ariel began to clean off her face and head toward her bath clean up.
As soon as Ariel left the room Bela went outside and began to scan her surroundings.
“Come out father, I can smell the blood in the air.” As soon as she said this Siphon appeared from the tree line and began to walk towards Bela.
“I missed you so much my precious girl.” Siphons and to hug Bela but she shot a blood spear at his head. Siphon raised his black cape and deflected it.
“Come I haven’t seen you in years, just give me one simple hug.” Siphon pleaded with Bela.
“You tried to marry me off to some vampire duke, and you supported the plan to sacrifice Solstice. I have no reason to speak to you.”
“Why are you still stuck on that kid?”
“You wouldn’t understand it, his soul is what makes me attracted to him. Everyone else has disgusting souls, especially yours.” Bela always remembered how every person she saw had such dark and ugly souls, that was until she saw Solstice when he was born, and her world was turned upside down.
Everyone she used to see had black and murky colored souls, but his soul was golden and radiated purity. This alone was enough for her to at least pay attention to him, as time passed and she learned more and more about him she only grew more attached to the kid and now that he was out of reach, she found herself depressed. Teasing him was one of her favorite parts of the day and seeing how great his future was going to be brought a huge smile on her face, but all of that was shattered when she heard about the plan concocted by Estel to use his existence as bait to solve a problem.
Over time Bela found herself developing a deep-seated hatred for primordials and this last plan of theirs brought her to the point of no return. But that was a problem for another day.
