On a clear day in the mountains a group of people were making their way to see Ariel, Telarion and their new son. It had been 10 years since his birth and for the most part, the family had been out of contact with everyone except two people who moved into the cabin to teach Solstice.
As the group of people made their way to the cabin all they could hear in the distance was explosions coupled with beastial roars from god knows what lurked in the mountain range. This group of people weren’t concerned since they had known Telarion for hundreds of years.
This group wasn’t your typical group you would see in the wild. Two of the men were kings of their own respective races who were accompanied by their son and daughter. One pair was the human king Tyrion Lightmane and his son Ivis Lightmane. The other pair was Irian Silverwind and his daughter Luna Silverwind.
The two kings were also a part of the group that fought back against the massacre, but they could barely hold a candle compared to the mysterious swordsman who slaughtered thousands of their own people. Even to this day, the mere thought of seeing their people brutally sliced through made them seethe with rage. As for the two children, one was attempting to chat while the girl was completely ignoring him.
“Come on, just answer one question at least. Every time I’ve seen you at the summits you never dignify me with answers. Not even for simple things, what did I even do to you!” Cried Ivis.
Ivis had an incredibly strong interest in Luna, but she never gave him the time of day. It all started after she met Solstice when the both of them were around 7 or 8. Since then he was the only male she felt she could truly converse with that had no ulterior motives. She considered Solstice abnormal; he was obsessed with learning new stuff and just followed his primal desires.
Many elven males had tried to get close to her after seeing her trademark white hair that was only possible being of royal blood. It only made her feel disdain for males, but once she met Solstice and saw he made no effort to even look in her direction, her interest was instantly peaked. As they kept walking Ivis slowly but surely gave up.
Not too long later they finally made it to the cabin only to see craters and footprints in the ground everywhere. The only person present was Ariel who was sipping on tea. When she saw the entourage arrive, she gave a brisk smile and welcomed to the table. The first person to actually talk was Ivis,
“Excuse me Miss Ariel, what's all these footprints and craters from around here?” asked Ivis curiously.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
“Oh, that's from Solstice brawling-, I mean training with his father and my sister.” Said Ariel casually.
Ivis had no idea what kind of training involved making these craters that were as deep as 50 meters into the ground. But he refused to believe that a 10-year-old could be capable of training in those kinds of conditions.
While Ivis was inspecting the battleground, Luna was anxiously looking around. She only came here to visit Solstice, but he was nowhere to be seen. Ariel laughed when she saw how Luna was reacting and decided to tease her a little for fun.
“You know Luna, I think you and Solstice are a bit too young to be dating.” and instantly after she said this, she could see Luna’s face get as red as a tomato and slump down in her chair and seemingly overheat by how easily Ariel had seen through her.
After all this Irian and Tyrion decided to speak before Ariel embarrassed the girl even more.
“It's been a long time since we’ve seen each other ancestor.” greeted Irian.
A little-known fact was that Ariel, and her two sisters were something called primordial's who had been there since the beginning of time in Aevis. There were many types of elves in the world, but they all came from one race called the cosmic elves. The only known cosmic elves now were the three sisters. The rest seemingly vanished thousands of years ago around the conception of Aevis. Since Ariel and her sisters are cosmic elves, they’re treated as royalty by elves but only few elves know this fact, one being the royal family.
“Please Irian don’t call me that, I might have to kill you if you make me think about my actual age.” Laughed Ariel.
All this did was send shivers down Irian’s spine because only he knew it was an actual threat disguised as a playful remark. Tyrion picked up on this and decided to steer the conversation away from certain death.
“Ariel, I haven't seen you in a while, I apologize for my abrupt visit.”
“It's all fine Tyrion, but I’m curious as to why you seeked us out after these past 10 years?” Questioned Ariel. As far as she knew the only time humans left their kingdom was for war or when a transition of power was taking place.
“Well, it involves my son, I believe he will be the one to inherit my throne and I wish that perhaps in the future that we could build ties with the elves and other races. I'm tired of humans being singled out by everyone because of my incompetent ancestors. So, I figured why not build trust with the new generation.” As Tyrion said this, he patted his son on the back hoping he would say something. But when he turned all he saw was the child ogling another child coming out of the forest dragging a demonic beast in each hand with his father trailing behind him with a huge grin on his face.
“Honey! Would you believe he actually killed these two things by himself? He hasn't even awakened his mana yet and he’s destroying demonic beasts just like his old man!” Roared Telarion as he bragged about his freak of nature son. When Ivis saw this, he couldn't help but feel a little emasculated.
