Point of view - Jack
King Draconis seems to be stable. His soul is still within his body. This boy is a wonder. His mana swirls and reacts as if it is a living thing. This boy is going to change the face of this world. This world that we invaded under the false presumption that we are in a video game. That we are the main characters. Its almost laughable. We are are merely pawns in the grand scheme of things. Mostly for the gods and goddesses of Versailles. The gods have some kind of plan in motion. Wonder what happens to us when the current godly power that reigns supreme and allows us here is no longer in power.
This place is perfect. Always with me. Spreads seemingly forever and I can store whatever I want in here. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Guess I should finalize my personal plans while he is asleep.
I need to get the Manadrake. I also need to meet up with david and the others. This King Draconis would be a perfect contact for when I am no longer of this world for them. Wonder how they are doing. I am not to worried about david. The other two could be in a pretty bad situation. To get to the Paladin training camp where the Mandrake is being held I need to head east from here and then head to the large pillar of darkness. Sounds like a solid enough plan. Just have to get there before Draconis wakes. He is like a hand grenade useful but way too noisy and attention attracting. Wonder how much the church is looking towards us right now. I can’t believe in a minute or so he erased a whole entire army.
I stepped out of my “Door of Self” as its called in the skill menu. Upon landing in the field once more I noticed more humans had moved in to investigate what happened last night. It seems the vampire girl is in the middle of instructing a group of goblins on the art of killing without being seen.
I watched as she slowly lowered from the tree branch and wrapped a wire around a guys neck then pulled up. His head fell to the ground soundlessly. Apparently the slow movements were for demonstration only as the rest of the people around the man had their heads removed as well with what seemed like one smooth move of her wrist.
The group of goblins and Alyona snuck around and disappeared into the illusion of the rock that hid our cave.

Might as well follow King Draconis’ example and go out with a bang. As I dismissed the shadows hiding me under the tree I released my killing intent as well. The forest went silent. Every animal suddenly fled. All the humans in the forest turned towards me. I gathered mana in my hands and slammed them against the ground activating my opening skill. Grand distortion. Dirt and stone erupted from where my hands made contact flying in all directions. As the cloud of dirt obscured vision and the shards of stone did damage I flew forwards and began decimating the humans within the forest. Using my shadow claws to separate people from their lives. As the dust cleared there seemed to be only one person keeping their calm. A thin woman wielding a large bow. The bow was unreasonably large. Easily a foot taller than her. The arrows were longer and thicker than her arm. It seems they hired a dragon slayer team. They never work alone. I scanned around for the melee dragon slayer. I found him rushing towards me with a giant sword. Like all melee dragon slayers he was equipped with a set of armor that nullifies magic cast around it. I heard the girl pulling her bow taunt. I appeared behind her and adjusted her aim for her. She unleashed her arrow by accident in the shock of being surrounded in my shadow body. It flew beautifully and sliced the left arm of the melee dragon slayer off. Unable to wield his weapon any longer he is no longer a threat. I attempted to slice the throat of the archer. Instead she vanished. This must be the fabled skill of the dragon slaying archers. Relocation to a point when attacked within a certain range. She appeared a couple dozen meters away with four marks across her throat. These must be apprentice dragon slayers. There is no way I would be able to do anything to them If they were anything close to finished with their training.
“I must bid you farewell. For I am needed elsewhere. This has been a fun dance young dragon slayers. However I am needed in the south.” I said. Then finished with “Revertum Revertus. Shadow Soul Steal.” Thanks to the attempted and failed soulsteal of most of them their consciousness waned for a second or two depending on their personal strength and I was able to make my escape.
After putting some distance between the forest and me I switched my form from the shadow mass to my elven form and headed towards the paladin training ground.
