As I opened the note what appeared to be a ruby necklace fell from it.
This is a blood soul gem. It glows when as one gets closer to the target of the soul gems hatred. The necklace allows you to identify demons from humans. You will be able to see a demons true form no matter who he is pretending to be. Remember not all demons are evil.
As I got up I heard two people standing beside me. Three others were standing at the entrance of the cave giving orders to the goblins. I looked towards the two people to notice Alyona Shadow sitting on a stone chair behind them.
“I took earth magic and thunder magic as you can tell” Alyona Shadow said accusingly.
After thinking about it I averted my eyes. Then said “Well we know our enemy now. His name is Jabel. He is a demon of great renown. His main goal is to break treaties and cause war and death.” I stopped for a second to collect my thoughts then continued “From what I know the demon is weak and likes to hide among humans. The word weak is very relative as I got this info from someone strong enough to kill a god.”
“You need to add someone else onto your list as well.” Jack said as soon as I finished. He then continued. “His name is Isik in this world. He is the false paladin who lead the assault on your kingdom and claimed the head of your father and mother. He is currently being empowered by the demon. If he is not dead the demon can just escape into Isik’s body and return to this world the next day. Since he is a foreigner like me he will revive in four days after his death and Jabel will be safe again.”
“Is the source reliable?” Alyona questioned.
“Mine or his?” I asked.
“I am questioning both of them because it could be a trap.” Alyona stated.
“I will be verifying mine in a couple of days. His I am not sure.” I said
“Mine you will have to trust me on. I heard him talking with a friend of his about the great amount of power he got by binding to Jabel’s service.”Jack said.
I looked around with my echolocation. “We need to hurry and fortify this cave and have a location for the goblins to sleep. We also need to start making weapons and such to have the goblins use to defend this place when we are not here. Are the goblins able to read? If so we need to get books for them to learn things so they can maintain this area. If not then they need to be taught to read.”
“I can fortify this area and the goblins sleeping area should only take me an hour or two.” Alyona said.
“We could probably raid the town of Icarus library for books if we really need to. We should also do some sabotage while we are there. The town is owned by Isik.” Jack said.
“We should capture some wolves and use them as mounts for the goblins. Also the sabotage is a bad idea. We dont want to be noticed just yet by Jabel and Isik the stealing of books will be enough to raise suspicions as it is. I can teach the goblins to fight but if you want to make weapons for them you should talk to Kartali she is the blacksmith of our group.” said the speaker of the goblin queens.
“Well now we know what we need to do. Me and jack will go to town to get the books when night falls.Until then I will make me a sword.” I said.
I walked over towards the corner of the now rectangular room. Then I wondered how to open the bag portal so as to get my furnace and ores out. Immediately after thinking about it the hole in space opened and I could see my stuff floating end the seemingly endless space. I reached in and grabbed the furnace out. I set the furnace up in the corner and looked back to grab the ores. I set the a large chunk of the ore down in the furnace and looked for a way to start the furnace. I noticed a large bright blue gem about the size of my fist and placed my hand on it.
-500 mana
All ores are smelted and will remain smelted until you run out of mana or remove contact with the furnace.
You are losing 200 mana per an hour
I focused on bringing blood into the palm of my hand the blood quickly flowed out of me and formed a floating ball.
-400 health.
I placed the blood into the furnace and focused on forming a sword. I focused only on the blade. A simple blade at first a long rectangle then I focused on forming the sharp edge. focusing on how sharp it should be I focused the sharpness till it was sharp enough that I felt it could cut anything. I thought I was done then I remembered the dagger my father showed me when I was young. It had dull flat spikes on the back for catching and breaking blades. I focused on the spikes making sure they were sturdy and flat so they could stand up to any sword. I moved my focus down to the hilt of the sword and started making it like my sword I used as a child for sword practice I added the guard to the hilt and the one and a half hand hilt. As I finished I looked over my weapon.
ReaperDamage50durability200/200options
* loses durability quickly when blade is used
* blood spilt on blade repairs blade and heals owner as if it was drank if the blade is already fully repaired
* Due to the unique design of the back you are able to break or disarm opponents by catching their sword in between the outcroppings and twisting the sword.
* Due to the design of the blade and the precise and delicate sharpness of the sword it cuts very easily through most things.
* Due to the outcroppings all along the back of the sword it can not stab very well without a massive amount of force.
I got up and looked around.
“You ready yet? The sun set an hour ago. Also are we going to sneak in or just destroy everything in our way?” Jack said from behind me sitting on the brown bench made of stone.
I looked at the room and I couldn’t even recognize it the room that was once pitch black and just a cube was now filled with light and had a gigantic circular rug that filled most of the room. The room had four hallways branching off from it and a banner with the Draconis symbol.
“I am going for the idea of sneaking in. When did all this happen?” I asked.
“During the four hours that you were making that freak of a sword.” Alyona said as she walked into the room. She then said. “Could you move that furnace I need to finish that corner of this room. The smithing area is down the south hallway.”

I grabbed the furnace and looked around to find the south hallway. I then noticed the words written in bold red bent along the arch of each hallway entrance. I headed down through the south hallway and set the furnace down next to the large hand crafted stone furnace. As I looked around I noticed this place was huge. It was large enough if you count the rough hallways with no design or anything of interest to reach about half of my echolocation vision.
“Who made the lights I know Alyona couldn’t have made them?” I asked
“I made them. Unlike you and Alyona I can’t see in the dark. Anyways lets go if we waste to much time the way you do the sun may rise.” After saying that Jack walked off towards the surface.
As we walked towards the sound I could hear the yells of something screaming no more. I looked around for the source of the sound it was a rabbit being constantly kicked around and healed by a young male. I am a bit hungry. He is alone. Might as well grab a bite to eat. I used vampiric run to move behind the young male as he looked to where the lighting came from I bit into his neck and started to drain him of blood. As I was halfway through he faded grey and vanished.
You are now no longer hungry
As I looked down on the rabbit that was killed by the lighting left in my wake I saw the basilisk sliding towards it to eat it. After swallowing the rabbit it coiled up and launched itself back towards my arm and went back to sleep.
Jack motioned for me to follow. He then said This is the path the gang in town uses to smuggle in stuff that is illegal such as drugs and other stuff they don't want the town guard knowing about. We can go through here. The town gang is not that strong. Even if we kill a bunch of them they will not say anything because that would mean they would have to tell the guard about this path.” he then pushed a stone in the wall and the wall slid apart
We walked through the long hallway. Along the way through we ran into some minor issues. Jack dealt with them quite easily. When we got to the end of the hallway Jack pushed on the stone wall and it slowly swung open without so much as a creak. He put his hand up to stop me from stepping out. He stepped outwards and was greeted by a hail of arrows. I started focusing on my echolocation to see what was happening.
By the time I could get my echolocation into focus three of the thirty people were headless and and another was being killed with the skull of the guy next to him. After Jack sent those four to their graves the rest noticed that something was wrong. Some of them attempted to run or hide. Most of the ones running and hiding were the ones with the crossbows and daggers. As the ones running reached the doors they died by the doors exploding soundlessly. Pieces of wood and steel rained and killed most of the dagger and crossbow wielding humans. There were five humans other than Jack left. They were all wearing what I assume is metal shields and armor. Jack reached for one of the daggers that were littered along the floor. He threw it quickly. Jack suddenly vanished from even my sight and appeared behind the tallest of them and Jacks hand formed into something like a sword and pierced through the heart of the armored human. After this the other humans started to try to say something. It looked like they were screaming something. They started to surround Jack as he just stood there looking at the ceiling while holding up the armored dead body with his sword hand thing. They burst forward with an inhuman speed. Jack removed his arm from the body and used his other arm to toss it at one of the other humans. As soon as he let go of the dead body Jack vanished. He appeared beside me took one step out of the hallway and pointed at the three that were still standing and they fell like puppets with their strings cut.
“Now to get some info.” Jack said. He walked over to where the last one was laying. Trying to pretend he was dead like everyone else in the room. Jack kicked the dead body off of the coward and pointed his sword arm at him. He then asked “How did you know I was coming?”
The coward yelled back “Monster. You’re a monster. You have no shred of humanity left in you.”
“Hmmm. Guess you are not going to be any use.” Jack said as he decapitated the coward. He then turned to me and said “Guess the entertainment is over. Time to head off towards the library.”
I followed him towards the library and looked at his sword arm. Like the rest of his body it appeared to be made of obsidian. It looked like an extension of his arm no seams or missing pieces it looked like below his elbow formed into a sword. It slowly morphed back into a hand and arm.
Once in the library I headed towards the books. I started to grab them when Jack said “No need to take individual books. We will be taking the entire library full of shelves.” He then pulled out what looked like a triangular red stone. He marked a square a bit larger than the shelves. With the square complete I could see the inside of the cave with about a dozen goblins waiting below. Jack then said “We will be lowering the shelves one by one into the hole and the goblins will move them to where they need to be.” After saying this we started our work and moved the book shelves one by one into the hole. When we finished the sun was just rising. When he heard a click at the front of the library Jack pushed me into the hole and said something in a language I couldn’t understand and jumped in as well.
By the time I looked up the hole was gone. There were four goblins struggling with all their might to move the last one into its proper place. As I looked around I saw that every shelf was lined up. The room looked exactly like a real library. Once up I started exploring the cave my first point of interest was the large area deep underground with dozens of wolves goblins and what appeared to be training dummys. Once there I could see the goblins training with the wolves with the wolves wearing weighted armor and the goblins wearing training spears and weighted armor.
“General Kartana King Draconis has returned.” a goblin standing next to her said.
“Welcome back King Draconis.” Kartana said with a slight bow.
“I see you have gotten the wolves to join our side” I said.
“Yes we have joined your side. I am tired of the humans taking our food. I am tired of the humans killing us for defending our land. I want the humans gone. I am Tarnac Supreme leader of the wolf pack.” said what could only be called a horse of a wolf.
“It is nice to meet you Tarnac.” I said. With nothing left to do there I started to walk out only to be called out to by Kartana.
“I need to speak with you about something.” She said as she leapt from the stone balcony down to the bottom of the stairs. She turned away from me and yelled “ If any of you stop training while I am gone I will flay you alive. Then I will have someone heal you. Then you will wear your own skin as clothes.” After saying this she turned around and walked up the stairs towards me and motioned for me to follow.
