The bell rang, signifying the end to another long day, but the beginning of the weekend. The group gathered at the tree and discussed what was happening in Sol.
“Did you guys hear that the people in Sol are looking for a King to lead their nation?” asked Leon.
“Yeah, apparently after the coup they changed they governing system, which gave more power to the people by letting them choose who gets to rule,” responded Benjamin.
Alastor chimed in, “That’s good for them. I really wanted them to move on from their corruption and move into an era where they can freely choose what happens in their nation. After all, their land is full of rich history and beautiful traditions. It would have been a shame to loose all of that.”
“I hope we could go back on better terms next time,” said Lilith.
“We will. They’re really thankful that a mysterious group ended the corruption and allowed them to reclaim their nation,” said Alastor.
“It would be really cool if we could go there and see how it was going in person,” Lillia said.
Alastor looked at Lillia and answered, “We could go, but everyone would have to agree.”
“Really?” The whole group asked.
“Yeah, but like I said, that’s if you want to go.”
The group answered in unison, “We do.”
And just like that, after a short flight, the group was back in Sol to see how the elections were going. The main square didn’t change much since the group was last there, but the only difference is the missing building where the city hall used to be.
The streets were busier than last time as well. Children were running around playing, while the adults gossiped and looked like they were having a good time.
The group could immediately sense the difference. People were actually happy.
Alastor walked up to a vendor and bought the group Smoothies made from local star berries. “To keep you guys cool,” said Alastor.
The group walked to the remains of city hall and watched as two candidates were debating. The candidates were each making points on why they should be chosen as king, but in the eyes of Alastor none of them were worthy.
The debating went on till one of the candidates noticed Lilith. “It can’t be. It’s you. You’re the one who freed us.”
Everyone suddenly changed their gaze towards Lilith.
“Sorry, you must be mistaking me for someone else,” Lilith replied, not wanting to make a scene.
In a playful tone the man said, “Don’t lie to me, I was one of the soldiers that surrounded the building. You saved us from the tyranny from the council.”
The people in the square were suddenly talking among them selves. Lilith could feel a knot forming in her stomach.
Alastor sensed Lilith’s unease, so he decided to speak up, “Everyone, please, there is no need for this type of attention. We are just here to see how the elections are going and nothing else. There is no need to stop the debate on our behalf.”

The other candidate spoke, “This is a huge deal for us. We originally wanted her to become our queen, but we didn’t know who she was or where she came from. But now that she’s here we want her to become a candidate for the throne.”
The whole group went silent.
Lilith didn’t know how to react or what to say; her mind was scattered since she wasn’t expecting such a revelation to be thrown at her out of nowhere.
“People of Sol, this is a huge honor for you to bestow upon Lilith, but right now isn’t a good time for this. She still has school and other arrangements that need to be taken care of,” stated Alastor.
“If that is the case, we can hold onto the throne until she is ready.”
Lilith spoke up, “I really do appreciate this kind offer, but I don’t think I would be fit to rule this beautiful nation.”
“That’s why you’re the perfect candidate, so kind and humble. We would be honored if you accepted.”
Lilith began screaming on the inside. “Could you be kind enough to give me a couple weeks to think about your proposal, then?”
“Of course.” The crowd cheered.
“Lilith, what are you doing?” Lillia asked.
“Buying myself time.”
“Sorry about this, guys, but I think its time we take our leave. She’ll give you her response in a couple of weeks.”
The group quickly left and began flying back home.
“Why do they want me as their queen?”
“I guess they admire you a lot more than we realized,” responded Alastor.
“Enough to want me as their queen?”
“I guess so. Have you given it any thought? Maybe under your rule it could become a better nation. Of course, I do realize you would need guidance, but luckily for you, I can help with that.”
“I really don’t think I would be able to handle it all. Also, what would I do about school?”
“You wanted to join Gord as a Captain once you were done with school, right? Well, you could be better and make your own and command them. It’s better than what your sisters are doing.”
“You know about that?”
“Of course.”
The rest of the group remained quiet while Alastor tried to convince Lilith that becoming The Queen of Sol is a good thing.
Soon enough they reached the school, and as they did, the students began swarming Lilith. Alastor lifted his palm and out came a flame that took the shape of Gord.
“What’s going on.” asked Alastor
“The whole thing was broadcasted internationally.” replied Gord.
“Come here now.”
The flame fizzled, and Alastor started walking Lilith to her room while trying to keep the students off her. Eventually, the group made their way to her room while the students waited outside.
“What are we going to do? We can’t just keep Lilith in here forever,” asked Leon
“I called Gord. He’ll clear all the students, but for now we just need to wait.” replied Alastor.
Lilith had her head in her hands. “How did this spiral out of control so fast? All we were doing was just watching a debate.”
Lillia pulled on Alastor’s jacket and took him to the corner of the room.
In a whisper, Lillia asked, “What about the other thing? If Lillia ends up deciding to take the offer, what will end up happening?”
“What other thing?” Lilith Asked.
Lillia had forgotten about Lilith’s super hearing. “Oh, it’s nothing to worry about.”
“Lillia, I think they should know.”
“Know what?” Benjamin asked.
“Alastor, don’t,” said Lillia.
Alastor let out a sigh. “When we returned from Sol after the coup, I received intel from Abel that someone was messing with the gates of Hell. Around the same time Lillia has been having visions of a battle between us and the king of Hell.”
The group stood quiet, not knowing what to say. Lilith stood up, but collapsed. Alastor caught her before she could hit the floor.
Lilith suddenly began hyperventilating. This was all to much for her to handle, her brain was moving in all sorts of directions. She felt like everything was falling apart, until she felt a tight embrace, and Alastor’s voice. “Lilith, I have you. I will never let anything bad happen to you.”
Lilith’s breathing became normal once more.
“Why didn’t you tell us about this sooner?” yelled Leon.
“Because they knew you’d act like this,” Everyone turned around surprised to see Gord.
Gord walked by everyone, his aura strong enough to paralyze everyone except for Alastor. “It’s okay Lilith. I’m here now.”
Lilith got up and hugged Gord.
“Alastor. Explain everything,” Gord demanded.
“I already did, but don’t worry, Abel, and I will be there to protect everyone.”
“Abel is going to be there? It really is true then.”
“Wait. You know Abel?” Lillia asked.
“It’s complicated.”
“Oh.”
“Getting back on topic, what are we going to do about the king of Hell coming to kill us?” asked Leon.
“We’re going to have to train even harder. Which means we’re going to have to change scenery.”
“Alastor, you don’t mean?” asked Lillia
“Gord, let the school know we’ll be gone for a couple of days.”
“Where are you planning on going?” Gord responded.
“The realm of the dead.”
