Nate shivers in his bed, too afraid to sleep again for fear of another whatever it was. "It was not a dream nor a vision" he says to himself as he wraps his arms around his stomach trying to calm himself. The images haunt him until he realizes he's no longer in his room. Staring at the unfamiliar buildings from the city in his mind makes him more scared until he hears a familiar voice speaking from behind him.
"This place looks nice" Crisp says smiling at his son "Is this what you've been seeing lately?"
"DAD!?" Nate runs over to him and hugs him, his whole body shaking as tears start falling "What's wrong with me? Why can't I escape this...whatever it is?"
Crisp gently pets his hair, staring down at his son as he comforts him "Shhh, nothing's wrong with you." He lets Nate cry into his shirt as he looks around at the buildings around them. Everything is bright and untainted yet Crisp feels that this is all a farce to drag people into the city before ensnaring them in madness. As if to prove this thought, the city changes. Blood, seaweed and algae appear along with cracked walls and a sense of madness in the air.
Nate finally backs away, sniffling a little as he wipes his eyes of the tears left "We're in the dreamscape, aren't we?"
"Yeah. I stole you inside...it sounded like you needed me" he responds gently ruffling his hair before asking again "So this is what you've been seeing in your dreams?"
Nate nods "Yeah...this city and a voice."
"Was it the same voice from your vision before the exploration?" he asks and Nate shakes his head.
"No...that one was deep and echoed while this one sounds crazed in a sense, like sane and insane at the same time."
Crisp nods, not fully understanding but he can imagine how it sounds especially after he manipulates the dreamscape to cause the voice Nate heard in these weird moments to play out. "You're right. It does sound crazed." He looks at his son and asks "It has a hold on you doesn't it?"

"I want to know what it is and why it's calling out to me" Nate answers "But...this seems so dangerous now. I could have drowned just now." He shakes a little but when Crisp pulls him back against him for a hug, he doesn't fight it and instead leans against him more.
"Hey, you can handle anything inside this realm" Crisp says forcing Nate to look him in the eyes so he can see the truth of his words "Your much stronger than you give yourself credit for...just do me a favor and try not to drown yourself again" he chuckles a little and Nate does as well.
"I'll try dad" he promises before yawning.
Crisp, unknowingly to his son, puts a strong spell on Nate so he can sleep peacefully without another one of those weird visions tonight.
Nate looks at his dad "I think...I'm going to head to sleep. I feel a lot better now." He vanishes back to the waking world but Crisp remains in the dreamscape, knowing that his son would sleep peacefully for the rest of the night.
Crisp looks at Stacy "I can't reach its dreams can I?" he asks.
She shakes her head "There is no way to reach his dreams...but you probably could reach the other's dream."
He nods and reaches out. After a few seconds, the dream changes to water and directly in front of Crisp is a black shape. A deep echoey voice is heard "You....Who are you? You are not food..." It almost sounds disappointed that Crisp isn't food.
"I am Crisp, slayer of gods" he answers.
The voice is not impressed "Slayer of gods? Are gods food? I do not understand you little fish but why do you speak to me?"
Crisp had a feeling this creature wouldn't know what gods were "I wish to verify something with you."
"And that is?" the voice asks.
"Is there a city down in your waters?" he asks though he knows the answer, he hopes he is wrong as well.
"There are many drowned cities but only one should you not go near" the voice answers after a moment's silence.
Crisp sighs "I was afraid you'd say that..." In his mind, he thinks "I can always get here if this realm proves too much for them but I know Nate can handle it. He'll fight like a storm until the very end."
"Is that all?" the voice asks "I am hungry and was in the middle of fetching a nighttime snack...this red glowing little fish looks ever so tasty."
"Yes" Crisp answers before ending the dream completely and looks at the tv screen, Molly has fallen asleep in front of. It's showing a sleeping Nate, curled up in bed. Crisp smiles "You'll be fine"
He then looks down at Molly and thinks "Does she plan on coming over to watch the tv until they get back? Well at least she's not causing any trouble and she doesn't stay over everyday." He gently rubs her head before he puts a blanket over her and goes to his own room.
