Nate finds himself staring at a gaping hole, an underwater cave possibly based on the stalagmite hanging from the ceiling resembling teeth and the fish swimming into the hole. He slowly approaches as a deep echoing voice is heard "I am ancient and yet barely born as well"
"So you're the most powerful thing ever?" Nate finds himself asking the mysterious voice which laughs at his question.
"You mistake ancient for power but it is not. Ancient means one has lived a long time but that does not mean they are powerful" the voice replies.
"I don't get it...you say your ancient but also barely born?" he asks looking around trying to find the source of the voice.
"We were the first to be born and we are represented in every living thing to this day...heed my words carefully young child of god and mortal. The wolf is always the most powerful, the snake the most agile, the eagle is wise..."

"And the shark?" Nate finds himself asking not understanding why he'd ask about a shark.
"The shark? It is the most deadly especially for you right now" the voice says before the cave collapses shut and plunges Nate into deep dark water that has him struggling for air while he flails around, trying to swim, to find his way out of the darkness. He jolts up, screaming and sits in his bed panting. His bedroom door flings open as Crisp enters, coming straight over to Nate's bed.
"Are you alright? I heard your scream...was it a bad vision?" Crisp asks carefully sitting onto the edge of the bed.
Nate takes a few deep breaths "I...I don't know...it was weird" he tells his father everything he saw in the dream "It was like I actually was drowning...I couldn't find my way out no matter how hard I tried and I was running out of air...what do you think it means?" He's looking at Crisp with worry and concern in his eyes.
Crisp unsure of what it means but knows that whatever it could mean, Nate could handle it "Don't worry...maybe your just overly worried about tomorrow's exploration and it's causing you to have stress dreams"
"Yeah..." Nate says but they both know it was more than a stress dream.
