Max: There's just... there's just gotta be something I can do.

They all got into defensive positions together, and this time, Max was completely disheartened. He stood up unsuredly.

Rose looked back at him concernedly.

Rose: Max...

Tiffany: Focus, everyone. (thinking: We need a way out of this.)

Rose: R... right.

Tiffany: Ken. Scan him!

Ken: Right!

Ken scanned Aloysius while he just stayed in the air, unbothered.

Ken: No particular weak points.

Tiffany: What!

Aloysius: As if you needed a machine to tell you that. Irregardless...

He charged at them, swooping down from the air to strike them.

Tiffany: Scatter!

They all rushed into different directions as he fired beams at them.

Aloysius: Pathetic.

He went after Tiffany, who began to dodge him acrobatically by doing back and front flips.

Rose subsequently hurled boulders and metal carts at him, but he simply avoided or deflected them.

Ken: None of your attacks are doing anything. Dang it!

Max fired an electric bolt again, but it still did nothing.

Max: Damn it!

Ken: Max. You need to run. Now!

Max: No... I.... I won't!

Luke tried to interrupt Wolfram by throwing a punch, but he dodged it again and sent him flying with a beam.

Luke: Gah!

Rose: Luke!

Ken: Never mind that. Rose?

Rose looked at Ken and nodded instinctively. Luke got back up and cracked his neck.

Rose nodded and continued to hurl boulders at him while Ken started to fire lasers, but he either dodged or ignored them while continuing to fire beams at Tiffany from the air.

Aloysius: You make it so painfully obvious that it is a distracton. Honestly, it is quite embarrassing.

He turned and dodged Luke again, only for Luke to flip in mid-air and punch him directly, sending Wolfram crashing to the ground. Rose used her psychic powers to control Luke.

Max: Woah! (thinking: They did it! They actually did it!)

Luke: Got him!

Ken: Yeah.

Rose: Yeah....

Rose started panting.

Ken: Sorry to push you so hard. I know using your mind link with your other powers really drains you.

Rose: It's... it's fine.

Luke: Hey. Eyes up. It's not over.

Aloysius started to get up from the ground.

Aloysius: I see. You really do deserve your reputation.

Tiffany: Don't underestimate us!

Tiffany pointed her blade at him.

Aloysius: I see. I won't. From here on out, I won't be holding back.

Ken: Wait! He was holding back!?

All their eyes widened, including Max's, as he flew into the air and made dark crystals of a significantly light shade come out of the ground and start trying to stab them.

Tiffany: Everyone, move! Move! Move!

They all ran as the crystals followed them.

Aloysius: I think I'll start with the psychic.

Rose gulped and froze.

Tiffany: Rose, run!

Rose could only turn to see a powerful beam of energy aimed at her before Luke came in and took the hit.

Rose: Luke...

Luke: Rose. Stay behind me.

Aloysius: Oh. Right. Cammeraderie.

Wolfram then made crystals come out of the ground, encasing Luke in crystal.

Aloysius: You can break through my crystals easily enough, but let's see you break out of crystal surrounding every inch of your body.

Luke: Gah.

Rose and Max: Luke!

Max desperately fired another bolt of electricity at him, but it again did nothing.

Tiffany. Max, you need to run. Now!

The crystal stopped at Luke's face, leaving it barely exposed.

Aloysius: Not so fast, Luke. I want you to see what happens to your friends.

Ken backed away, his arm protecting a frightened Rose while Tiffany rushed to their side.

Aloysius: Hmph. Well, any more tricks?

The three of them were backed into a corner, and Max, in spite of his fear, decided to fire yet again a lightning bolt from behind him. It did nothing.

He then dashed, and with a metal pickaxe he found on the ground, he jumped into the air and struck Wolfram, but to no avail. He simply beamed him to the ground.

Rose: Max!

Aloysius: Tch. Useless.

Max flinched when he heard that.

Rose: G... good job, Max.

Aloysius: How sweet. You can encourage a coward when he's clearly harming your chances.

Rose: Max isn't a coward. He's just....

Max looked down depressedly.

Aloysius: Hmph!

Tiffany pulled out her katana and tried to attack him directly, but he simply floated away and fired more blasts that she had to dodge.

Rose: Wh.. what do we do?

Tiffany: Scatter!

Aloysius blasted at Tiffany before swooping down directly towards Rose to blast her directly.

He almost blasted her, but the blow was blocked by Ken, who took the blow instead and was sent flying into the wall before losing consciousness.

Rose and Max: Ken!

Tiffany rushed at him with her blade, but he instinctively flew away instead of taking a hit.

Aloysius: Is that desperation I see in your eyes, Tiffany?

Tiffany panted while looking him dead in the eyes.

Aloysius: Don't bother...

Large crystals started to come out of the ground, and Tiffany rushed up the crystals, avoiding the sharp edges while running upwards to try to aim attacks at Aloysius.

Aloysius: Hmm. Impressive. However, you forgot one thing. I control crystals.

The crystals morphed and bent radically like giant snakes and begun to wrap around her, causing her to fall into what was a newly formed see-through spherical crystal prison.

Tiffany: What....

Rose and Max: Tiffany!

Aloysius: I think I'll save you for last.

Max super sped and started firing electric blasts, but they still did nothing while Aloysius simply floated down to a terrified and flinching Max and kicked him into a wall.

Aloysius: Useless.

Rose: Max!

Wolfram slowly approached Rose as she backed into a corner.

Aloysius: Frightened, are we?
