It was later that evening when the CorviDae family arrived this time with some of their girls.
The mother Stella having black and blue feathers much like the stellar jay she was named for.
Her daughters Raven who looks much like her father and verdant who seems to be a green Jay are both newly mature whilst the youngest daughter Ebony who has a smaller black birds feathers is almost Misty’s age.
They are all carrying luggage and their backpacks are carried in their front rather then on their backs like others usually carry them.
All the adults are carrying more insect farm’s which they have join the other insect farms located in the hall rooms near the kitchen.
I am thinking about just enlarging Greg’s old room out until it has plenty of space to host all the insect farms without over crowding them or stacking them on top of each other, as apparently that’s how they had to manage at their previous location.
Since they planned to get everyone here and register as inhabitants I have started working on making them their new living quarters branching off the same hallway as the Hunters family.
I made the parents room and their children’s rooms bundled together like I have for the others and then I added a space before adding the siblings rooms to ether side of the path much like I did with the single bachelors rooms.
Since the mother apparently has two siblings staying with the last of their belongings I made their rooms last.
After having Luna direct them to their new living quarters they sent the men to go get the last of their belongings as the girls organized their stuff into everyone’s rooms.
The guys have figured out a path down toward the other camp that is clear enough for them to fly low and get there quickly so they should make it back tonight.
Which with the excitement of the new residents joining us my inhabitants have decided to throw a welcome party which they will celebrate with a bunch of food that everyone can enjoy.
They take into consideration that aside from insects most Corvids like to eat fruit, nuts, seeds and small animals, so most of the foods will be prepared with that in mind as those are most likely to be their favorites.
None of them know how to prepare the insects as a meal nor do they have their own supply of them so they Inform Stella in case she wants to prepare them for the party.
Stella was quite happy with the news and she informed everyone about who likes what so as to narrow down the menu, and she happily offered to show the other cooks how they prepared their insect based meals.
They politely agreed but they didn’t look quite as enthusiastic about it as I thought they would be as they always seemed so excited to learn how to cook a new dish and exchanging recipes.
The plan is that once they finish the meal they will be registering as inhabitants and selecting their new positions right away, and in happenstance the children who haven’t registered yet will also do so then.
I am looking forward to it as I will surely get new positions unlocked and everyone that’s staying here will finally be registered as my dungeon inhabitants!
Stella’s sister Maggie is planning to finally settle down with Magnus which she had been putting off for years now because she didn’t feel ready despite Magnus having been persistent with his pursuit of her as a mate.
Stella’s brother Krow on the other hand still wants to wait until he finds someone who catches his interest before heading out on his own so he plans to go help Maggie with her young until he finds someone or they mature like Stella’s.
The oldest daughter Raven has been planning to find a mate this year and has even thought about possibly going to where the woodpecker family had moved to see if she could find someone there because she wants her children to be able to fly at the least so she’s sworn off any of the wingless races and that’s really limited her choices.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
The other brothers don’t seem to care as much about ensuring that their offspring have wings but they do seem to want someone who is okay with cooperative breeding as they don’t want to be separated yet, unlike their older sister who seems impatient to get out on her own.
Verdant is also looking for a partner and although she is hoping to find someone who is an avid like herself she’s open minded as long as she can still enjoy her favorite foods, and they are open to having a big family as she gets lonely easily.
Ebony just seems like she wants to run off and play with the other children and she isn’t really interested in the more adult conversations going on, which after a few attempts she does manage to sneak off to play in the greenhouse room with the other children.
Rocky is a little down as he can’t climb the trees like the others so he’s stuck playing on the ground as they play.
Ebony who can’t fly yet isn’t really interested in climbing so she was apparently happy having someone staying on the ground with her even if it was more due to an injury then just keeping her company.
The food was eventually finished and the last of the belongings arrived with the remaining CorviDae family which set off the party.
The chatter was greater than usual as there are now more people then before and everyone seems to be getting to know each other in more depth than they had back in the village.
I had thought that the people from the village were very close to each other and knew each other well but apparently that is only true for those who dealt with each other regularly or were in the same groups, as any sizable community will have individuals who don’t know each other well.
Some people were clearly avoiding the insect dishes but a few residents at least gave them a try, but poor Greg seemed to unfortunately not be able to eat them as his attempt ended up with him vomiting in a bucket.
It was quite fascinating though as it’s my first time witnessing food rejection and realizing that it is actually quite the ordeal, leaving him worn and unsettled.
Concerned I searched my database and found peppermint and ginger that can help with the nausea and vomiting for future use but I happen to discover that the chamomile I planted for Luna and Tammy can also be used to help Greg now!
Regardless I add the two new plants to my medicinal garden for any future needs that they might come in handy for.
With the meal wrapped up everyone gets registered, netting me plenty of new positions, lookout, insect farmer, insect breeder, exotic cook, nest maker, aerial scout, high flyer, sky dancer, dancer, aerial hunter, etc.
All the children have obtained the trainee position while the CorviDae’s that have already matured have negotiated amongst themselves to have them each take the positions that are uniquely available for them.
Talon with aerial hunter, Stella with exotic cook, Magnus took aerial scout, Maggie took insect breeder, whilst Krow took insect farmer, Karman took high flyer, and Raven took sky dancer, Jay took lookout, and finally Verdant took nest maker.

I am delighted and yet concerned about the notifications I received as I share them with Luna as I have now gotten into the habit of doing.
I’m starting to feel like I can’t get a notifications without it having bad news tacked onto whatever good news I receive.
Though I see that my inhabitants have taken the news quite well as they seem to have become quite excited and they are eager for me to level up quickly.
I think about it and I feel like it might not be a bad idea since I now have dungeon monsters and I can now get my breeder at anytime.
I don’t feel panicked about it and I am more than happy to continue expanding myself as it has been having me do lately.
In all actuality I seem to enjoy expanding myself and making new useful rooms very much especially when I see how much my inhabitants appreciate and enjoy them.
I am definitely looking forward to expanding again while everyone else sleeps tonight and I look forward to seeing them react to the new room for their dance as they seem like they were starting to decide that the medicinal garden would be the best place for the dance and they will be making the decorations for it when they get up.
So it’s finally time to unveil my surprise for them to enjoy, I particularly look forward to Luna’s expression when I lead her to it in the morning!
