That nights dinner wound up being the vegetable stuffed quail that was roasted in a clay shell that kept everything flavorful and juicy as its moisture couldn’t escape from the clay shell that had hardened around it.

They are their fill and put the leftovers into the pot with some more vegetables and water to continue serving as future meals like most of their previous ones have been done so far.

Luna gave me a mana transfer and she ate some mana grass before she laid down and spoke with me about how she would hope for things to go in the future until she had drifted off to sleep aided by whatever sleeping herb she had decided to add to her canteen earlier during their meal.

I had closed the tunnel connecting the core room to the second room and divided the space of the second room creating the washroom and a room for Luna’s family on the side closest to my core room and have the other side act as a common space that branches out into areas where other families can stay giving them an entrance area for storage or other uses and two or three sleeping rooms with soft clay floors.

For Luna’s family I made three sleeping rooms and a room for whatever they might need from a crafting room to storage space for the things that they don’t want the other families messing with.

I expanded Luna’s personal room and moved it closer to my core room to incorporate more space for the room for her parents and a room for her siblings.

I also widened the hallway and made a couple of small rooms that branch out from either side of it to act as spares for sleeping rooms or whatever else they need.

I also made a room branching from the first room to store the firewood in and I changed the table with chairs into a curved bench along the wall with a curved table that follows it and another curved stone bench that follows it along, they are made for three people to a side and there are multiple going around the room opposite of the side made to serve as a kitchen space with a fireplace on either side and the original shelves and a duplicate mirroring it in the middle.

It has been several days now and many things have been tweaked since the original remodeling plan, as some of the people who will be joining us have been decided and that is one of the things that’s influenced the current dungeon layout, granted I plan to make further changes and improvements all the way up until the newcomers arrive.

One of the things that I have been looking forward to that also helped with much of the planed changes was the maturing of the glow moss, the moist moss and the fire fern which I had immediately divided to make more of each and to scatter them where they were needed most.

The fire ferns were designated to be in what remained of the second room to provide light and heat and we set them up in stone planters that can be slid around to where they would be needed most.

I also made several spare stone planters to transplant the divided new plants that are sure to be done throughout the winter, as until the other residents can be trusted Luna thinks that it’s best to avoid them figuring out more than necessary.

Which is why she came up with the idea of using the sliding stone planters as a disguise for me moving the plants around.

Now the moist moss has been divided into three, with two in the water catch I had made for assisting in cooking to slowly refill and be ready to be used even if I don’t pay attention to refill it it can still be explained as the moist moss hasn’t had time to refill the water catch yet.

The largest portion of the moist moss has been left to the washroom and we made a function where the water can be drained into a room below it through a manual device that anyone can operate without my assistance and I will automatically absorb it passively.

Luna also came up with the idea of making another device that would release water into the washroom in case it gets emptied and needed to be refilled faster than the moist moss can keep up with, so we created a room above and to the side of the washroom to store enough water to properly fill the basin of the washroom.

Now the glow moss had indeed gotten brighter as it matured and they also created a little amount of mana once it finished maturing, so it was decided to divide it up and plant them into each of the other families area so they could see and they can cover their sleeping rooms with a woven vine mat, an animal hide, or a blanket of their choosing as I have already made the stone hooks for them to hang whatever they want as a divider.

All the rest of the plants have been planted in stone planters and are able to be moved around as needed be they for food or medicine and we plan on making it seem like new areas get unlocked over time as the place is full of hidden contraptions that get unlocked with exploration and we have even come up with locations where we will have the triggers and the places to open up to the new locations.

The first room will have a trigger in the firewood storage that is a stone hook for a lantern and another one in the center of the room as well as the far side where the light of the fireplaces don’t illuminate as well.

Which will lead to the wall opening up between the stone tables and benches and it will lead down to a set of rooms underneath which I should have plenty of time to mess around with before getting discovered, since the center of the room gets light from both fireplaces and from the dungeon entrance whenever it’s open, who would put a lantern there when they would more likely need the light in other places.

And another place would be in the second room there will be another location to unlock with planters put in certain spots at the same time to unlock a path that will lead up the mountain and create a layer above the others that I would later connect with the lower sections.

The planters puzzle will likely take longer as the imprinted images on the planters have to match up but they will be changed based upon what gets planted in them… we haven’t really decided on what placements and what not yet as I only have the path outlined and no rooms there much like the lower level one.

I will admit that changing my dungeon layout has gotten easier and more interesting to do as I now feel impulsive to keep playing around with things and I wonder if it was the second mana crystallization process getting completed making it easier or could it be that I am just getting better at it over time.

I also admit that I might have wanted to do more with my dungeon particularly since I had to give up all of my ground outside except for half of the path to the river as I have decided that I wanted to catch some river animals and plants for the creation of a dungeon fish farm since I found out that all of Luna and her family have favorite foods that were all located in or near fresh water like lakes and rivers!

Luna has a fancy towards fish, her mother likes frogs, her father likes clams and shellfish in general, her brother likes crustaceans like crawfish and her sister hasn’t quite figured out what she likes the most yet.

So I want to surprise her with plenty of fish once I can manage making it to the river.

Luna’s family have finished getting all their stuff brought here aside from the last couple of packs worth which they will bring when they come, so their little living space and sleeping rooms have filled out nicely as they all have soft and warm looking bedding and even spare blankets and clothes that they have placed in woven basket chest that the sisters spent an entire day on each.

Rocky had brought back quite a few pieces of baggage for some of the soon to be dungeon guests and they have been storing those bags in the living quarters for each family to assist with speeding up the moving process.

One of the families that will be joining us will be the same one as the rape victim, they are cat beast-kin and they are coming particularly to get away from others after the incident as the daughter has developed a fear of men who look like her attackers to the point where her father and brother have started shaving their beards and dressing in bright colors just to reduce whatever resembling features they could.

Another family that has decided to come is a rabbit beast-kin and human couple who have a couple of children who have hybrid traits such as their rabbit ears being located more closely to where a human’s ears are rather than them being on the top of their heads like normal rabbit beast-kin, luckily they have their mothers floppy ears instead of the more erected ones that are more common in the village.

As for the last family that’s been confirmed to come is a couple who’s children are Rocky’s friends, they are a dog beast-kin family that had moved in the village shortly before having their children so they aren’t related to the Barkley’s and they don’t their family to be absorbed by the Barkley’s family just because they are dog beast-kin, yet the other camp being dominated by the cat beast-kin and the cattle type of beast-kin they would likely suffer mistreatment.

Any other families that will come are left as unknowns until they arrive as Rocky has finished doing trips to the village and no news will come until they arrive.

Now all we can do is wait until they arrive as it looks like snow will fall any day now and the supplies have been delivered where they will go except for the last minute finishing touches that every able bodied adult will handle the night that it starts to snow.
