“Why do we have to send them out alone again?” Avalon asked in a stressed tone.

“They’ll be fine, you overreact about everything.” Naru said as she hauled some bags up onto Onyx. Avalon just let out an annoyed huff directed at her, Yuki just looked up and glanced between the both of them. Yuki was almost completely limp, he rested his weight on Avalon’s lower back, he was bent forward at the hip and had his arms strewn over his waist.

Ame walked over with his satchel full and resting across his body. He tuned out the light bickering of Avalon and Naru in favor of petting Onyx’s snout.

As Ame was walking over Yuki let out a few calls of his name in an attempt to get his attention. He was completely ignored so he called a little louder, nothing. Yuki took one deep breath before yelling Ame’s name. The yell had snapped Ame out of his trance, it had also made Naru and Avalon look down at him, he blinked up at them for a moment before letting out a small chuckle.

Avalon just rolled his eyes at the man leaning up against him and directed his attention back to Naru. Yuki looked back over to Ame who was standing still with a waiting look. Yuki mouthed out the words “Where's Trixy?” Ame just gave him a look of confusion as he tilted his head to the side. Almost on cue, the trees above them started swaying in a strong flurry of wind.

Nithe lowered himself down to the ground from an opening some meters away, Trixy on his back.

Nithe was a dragon. He was average size for arial dragons, around 14 feet long snout to tail and about 10 feet tall. After the first week of training with Avalon, Naru and Ame she left for a whole day and came back with the scaled beast. He was white with different shades of blues, even some greens around his face,tail and wings. Ame had immediately started to fixate on the winged beast. Dragons were a rare thing, their skin was quite durable, and the patterns and colors were also a nice look for some rich entitled jackoffs. Ame was grate with animals most likely due to his feral past, so he found the dragon to be quite playful. Onyx also didn't seem to mind the company, someone to share his favorite sun basking spots with.

Trixy and Ame were getting ready for their first mission alone. They had been on a small amount but this was supposedly a weak demon so Naru thought it would be a good way for them to get some experience.

The demon was in a bigger human city. Naru said that it used to be a city before the war so there were more humans she also said that it wouldn't be wise to take Nithe to such a populated area especially since the humans there were most likely “not a fan of anything that came outta the war.” So it was just going to be Ame,Trixy and Onyx.

Trixy walked over to the group, she held a bag over her shoulder by its drawstrings.

Trixy came over to stand next to Ame, a waiting expression on her face. Yuki, who was still somewhat half asleep, even though it was 9:00, just raised his arm in a halfhearted attempt at a wave. Avalon was visibly worried he let out a sigh before opening his mouth,

“Naru, are you sure this is a good idea? I mean Trix is half demon and we’re sending them into a den of people! I mean look what happened to Ester, and she was human.” He pried.

Ester it was a name Ame had heard a handful of times.

Naru just let out a sigh and turned to look over at Trixy and Ame.

“You two will be careful right?” they answered with a small nod. “Okay, stay together and if any breakers try and mess with you, you’re allowed to defend yourself and if you can try and see what the demon wants to accomplish. If it seems like something we can do offer for them to join us, okay?” She began to remind them of the “Rules” they went over. She was met with another nod.

Naru stood up straight again gave them a little smile and thumbs up before deforming and floating away in gusts of wind.

Avalon looked over to them and smiled. Trixy and Ame who were now on top of Onyx gave a wave goodbye and they were off.
