Ame had woken to Naru yelling at him to get up or else she’d eat him. A strange threat but it worked nonetheless. She told him that she was going to be out today but he was still going to train with Avalon. This would be the first time Ame had been left alone with the man. She didn't clarify where she was going or what she needed to do but who was he to argue with a celestial being. He was a tad disappointed he still had to train though.
Avalon was tall about 6 '5, he was slim but muscular, he had longer gray silverish hair, almost like how Yuri did. And his wings were a sight to behold, they varied between different shades of grays and whites, they were also extremely large yet somehow still quite.
Avalon was somewhat of an elemental, he was the moon. He didn't affect things as much with his natural abilities but his skill made up for it. He could influence time and sleep to a point but nothing drastic, well that's what Ame was told anyway.
Avalon was nice enough, just somewhat quiet, a bit closed off. He didn't tell Ame much about himself, or ask about Ame. Even though Ame could still tell that he wanted what was best for him. It sometimes felt painful for Ame, Yuri and Eve had been the only ones to worry about him like that, so it was somewhat bittersweet for someone new to treat him like that so soon after Yuri’s passing.
Once Naru left Avalon told Ame to come with him. He took Ame down back to the ground, as in away from the floating islands. It was the first time he was back on land since he started training with Naru and Avalon.
Once they hit the ground Ame was met with a sleeping Onyx. He looked back at Avalon with a questioning look. Avalon’s stare was unreadable, Ame didn't know what was about to happen to him. Ame had a suspicion that he might be trying to off him, this was not the case.
The silence was broken by Avalon, “Ame I'm giving you a chance to leave now, without having to face Naru…I know that could be hard.” He said as he glanced over to Onyx, who now had his eyes open.
Ame just looked back at him in confusion, “w-waih are you like kicking me ouh!? I know’m nod duh bess figher buh dis seems a bih hasdy! I mean li-” he started his argument only to be interrupted by Avalon.
“No this has nothing to do with you’re fighting, Ame i am giving you the choice to pull out without having to explain anything to Naru.” He said with a sigh, his eyes had softened.
Ame just looked at him confused for a few moments before he started talking again, “ Naru told me wha i was signing up for, you don need tuh give me a chance tuh leave, i said i’d do eh and i mend eh.” He sounded almost offended at the accusation that he couldn't commit.
Avalon just looked at him with pity and worry. He let out a sigh before starting to speak again,
“Ame…listen you-you haven't been the first time Naru has looked for a successor. I-i mean this isn't the first time we’ve trained someone, prepared them to face Ki…The two other times…” He let out a huff of air before continuing.
“One was a human girl and the other a male elf. The elf was around your age, the girl probably a bit older, 17 maybe. Both of them were incredible fighters just… Incredible people… Both died in their attempt at killing one of the harbingers.” He said as he brought his eyes up to meet Ame’s.
Ame stood still for a moment before he looked at Avalon, a determined sort of glint in his eyes.
“I am sorry you los people buh you don need tuh warn me abou duh strength of duh harbingers. My friend he-he was killed by one of dem… He was one of duh bess fighders i've ever seen, he could've stood his own againsd you'' He said in a firm voice, never losing eye contact.
Avalon lost the face of pity, it was replaced by a look of understanding. He gave Ame a small nod before stepping to the side out of the way of the bridge leading back up to the floating islands.
The walk back up was quiet.
Until they heard some kind of screech. It was a strange noise, barely audible. There was a town not too far away, on the ground, a small place.

Ame looked at Avalon with a concerned face. Avalon didn’t meet his eyes, he just looked into the distance in the direction where the sound came from. He dragged his eyes down to meet Ame’s. Avalon started down the stairs Ame close behind him.
“Waih- Avalon, is dat a demon?” Ame asked, trying to talk and focus on not falling down the stairs.
Avalon did not respond. He began to speed up, with each step getting faster until he was running. Suddenly he took flight, leaving Ame squinting at the wind being blown in his eyes.
Ame just looked up for a moment in disbelief before he let out a sigh and continued to run down the stairs.
Ame grabbed onto Onyx and pulled him to start running. Ame Was guiding Onyx’s movements on where he saw the wings that had a span of at least 10 feet flapping above the tree’s.
Avalon had made it to the town first but didn’t enter, most likely due to his non-human appearance. Ame and Onyx came up behind him soon after. Ame got off of onyx and began to walk toward the town borders, he only stopped once he realized Avalon wasn't behind him. He looked over his shoulder at the man. Avalon just returned eye contact before pointing up. He took off up into the sky, for such big wings they were quite quiet. Ame just watched Avalon disappear out of sight before he continued to make his way into the town.
He heard the noise of battle, but it didn't sound like a battle that was resulting in death, not yet at least. He continued around the wall until he found the main entrance. It was closed of course but he could probably get in by the side door that led to the tower.
*Crash* Ame let out a few coughs. He had charged into the wooden door, breaking it. The force and the fall had knocked the wind out of him.
He slowly rose off the floor and dusted himself off and began to enter through the other door that was right in front of him.
Once in the town he took note of the lack of people. They most likely had been ordered to stay in their homes. Ame continued on through the town, he came to a stop behind the corner of a building. He saw people. Humans, there were five human breakers. They were confronting two demons. At least Ame thought they were demons. He stayed behind the wall to observe.
Two of the five Breakers were passed out; the remaining three were damaged. The two demons one was in the shade leaning up against a tree, the other looked to be the one fighting. The one that was fighting was a female with pink skin, blond pigtails and a tail that split near the end, she looked about Ame’s age.
She had an Ax in her hands, a big one the girl obviously had arm strength, no wonder she was doing so well without needing help.
Then in a flash the three remaining Breakers were on the ground along with their comrades. She had tripped them with her tail. She relaxed once they fell into unconsciousness. The other demon just raised his head and gave a little nod.
Then all of the sudden powerful gusts of wind disturbed the moment.
Avalon dove out of the air and grabbed onto the demon that had been leaning against the tree by the shirt and shot back up into the air.
Ame saw the girl's state of shock as an opportunity to attack.
Avalon had shot up into the sky and carried the demon a few kilometers away before throwing him further.
The demon had fallen into a shop tent of some sort. He glared up at the flying being that had grabbed him. Avalon had begun to descend down to the ground. The demon was now back up on their feet, a long dagger in hand.
He shot Avalon a questioning look before turning to look around after they heard a yell of some sort. Avalon was more frantic about his searching, the demon had noticed this.
The demon then suddenly stood up straight, getting out of the battle stance they had taken once they got up from the ground. Avalon looked back to them only to see them resheathing their dagger. He was obviously suspicious of the demon, he grounded his feet at the sight.
Once the demon looked back at Avalon they seemed to notice that he was still expecting a fight.
“Whoa there big boy, I ain't gonna get’cha,” The demon said as he raised his hands in surrender.
Avalon just gave him a look that screamed “Are you for real right now.”
The demon just let out a small chuckle before opening his mouth,
“I get it, I'm a demon, but you're not all that human either…I’m Yuki.” He said in an attempt to smooth out the situation.
Avalon untensed just a bit, he was still in a position he could easily defend or attack from.
“Uhh… We didn't eat anyone, kay?...” He said and paused waiting for Avalon to say something. He didn’t.
“The girl she…she’s a halfbreed…not completely demon.” He continued.
That took Avalon by shock. Half Breeds are what they call things that have mixed blood, most commonly half breeds are just half elf half human but this was different. A demon and what? In all his years of being on the planet after the war, Avalon can’t recall ever seeing a half demon of that age. Sure they happened, not a lot but when half demons were born they were usually killed or they died in birth. The girl was around Ame’s age, he’s never seen a half demon make it to that age.
He looked back to Yuki who had sat down on the destroyed tent at some point when Avalon was thinking. The demon smiled at him and lightly patted the ground next to him offering a seat to Avalon. Avalon just slowly stood up straight, and then walked over to Yuki. Avalon knew he was in for a long talk.
The both of them seemed to drown out the noise’s of the two teenagers still fighting out of sight.
