Ame stood behind Trixy as she threw a few sower looks at the beings standing in front of them. He was still retracing the steps that got them to where they are-Trixy insulting a demon and other ...demon(?) Ame cowering behind her all of them ignoring the sound of the fallen humans groening.-

Trixy had stood up out of nowhere (at least to Ame) and started walking towards the two beings. Ame watched in shock for a moment before scrambling to his feet. He grabbed her by her shirt and cowered behind her. She stopped a few meters away from the two beings.

“Aye, what’er you’se doin 'roond here? A wee bit a’ wisdom fer ya, ‘place is heaping wi’ breakers.” Trixy said, finally breaking the silence as she tilted her head to the right.

The demon looked at her as if she was intensely contemplating. After a long moment she finally spoke up, “...I could ask you the same, what is a halfbreed doing out here? Who are you?” She pried. Despite her words her tone was kind and gentle.

Trixy narrowed her eyes in return. Her patience was wearing thin, her tail swaying side to side impatiently (breaking wind in the process) was a dead give away. Ame was giving Trixy a worried glance, still behind her clinging to the back of her shirt. He looked like he was about to say something before he was cut off, “I am your superior.” Trixy said with a slight grin and a gleam in her eyes.

The demon looked away for a moment, her brows furrowing together lost in thought. Her thought process was cut short by a movement to her far right.

The oldest breaker had gotten back up. He barreled towards the four, sword in hand. The demon in front of them was paused in shock by the time the breaker swung his sword.

Ame watched the entire scene unfold in front of his very eyes, once he saw the breaker swing he quickly shut his eyes to avoid seeing the inevitable blood splatter. He waited for a moment. He slowly opened his eyes at the continued silence. His eyes widened at the scene in front of him.

Trixy was right in between the demon and the Breaker. She and the Breaker were face to face, weapons forced together stopping the other.

Ame just stood there in shock gawking at Trixy, unbeknownst to him, so were the other two beings.

Then all of the sudden it seemed the unidentified being snapped out of the trance. They grabbed their partners wrist along with Trixys tail and bolted. Trixy was startled by the sudden manhandling but was quick enough to start running on her own, the being let go of her tail in return still dragging the demon by the wrist. It took Ame a second to process them running, once he did he quickly ran after.

They were still running when one of them opened their mouth, slowed but still running.

“The Breakers are after you as well?!” The unidentified being asked.

Ame looked over to them. It was the first time Ame had actually taken in their appearance.

The demon was taller, about the same height as Naru. She had two long braids, half of her hair a light pink and the other a light blue. She was wearing a whitish pinkish overvest that had a tail, a frilly yellow shirt underneath, minty shorts and white thigh high socks. The other being was much taller than what would be considered normal, they had to be over 6’6. They were wearing some kind of weird electronic looking dress that had different patterns and fabrics on it. Their hair base was black but they had many strange white patches strewn about. A small top hat on their head tied the whole strange look together. They had pale skin quite similar to Avalon’s. Then something caught Ame’s eye. The being had strange groves around their limbs, they looked just like the actual structure of joints and conveniently were at the joints.

The demon snapping her fingers brought Ame back out of his thoughts.

“Oh! Uh- um yeah…” He said quickly only half remembering the question. He could tell that the being was about to ask him to elaborate before Trixy cut them off,

“He’s no’ a Breaker.” She panted out.

“Well obviously! They wouldn't be after him if he was!” The being snapped.

“I mean why are they actively hunting humans!” They hissed.

Trixy was about to answer or make a cutting remark when Ame spoke up, “Like you said earlier, rixy’s half demon.”

The demon stared in disbelief before she finally said something, “But she’s also half human, and you’re just a human?” She said it sounded more like a question than a statement.

Ame looked away from any of their eyes. He himself was confused as well. Naru, Avalon and Yuki had said that the Breakers tend to go after demons with or without reason, but going this far just to kill, it seemed like too much. They were taking so much time just to kill a few demons when they could actually be helping people, when they could actually be fighting a demon that was out killing.

The rest of the time they spent aimlessly running was silent.

Once they finally stopped they were in the thick of the forest. All of them except for the strange being took a moment to take a few deep breaths. Ame was still trying to untangle everything, Trixy saw this so she decided to take the lead.

“Listen we didny c’mere tae fight th’breakers…” She paused looking between both of the beings. “We c’mere tae fight you’se.” She elaborated.

The two beings paused in shock until the demon spoke up, “But I thought you weren't Breakers? If that's the case why did you save me?” She asked.

“Well we aren't. We work for a being called Naru. We fight to keep Ki from winning and to keep humans in check.” Ame who decided to finally speak up, explained.

The being standing next to the demon looked shocked at Naru’s name; it did not go unnoticed by Ame.

They all paused for a long moment, unsure what to think of the situation, of each other.

It was the demon who decided to finally break the silence, “...My name is Nectar.” She said and she shifted on her feet.

The other looked at Nectar for a moment before giving a small nod.

“I am Zeta.” She said looking over to Ame and Trixy.

Ame turned to look at Trixy. She was biting her lip lost in her thoughts, Ame decided that he would lead.

“I’m Ame, das rixy” He said, glancing at Trixy.

All of them paused for a moment taking in one another.

“ONYX!” Ame yelped all the sudden, remembering what he and Trixy had been looking for in the first place.

Nectar and Zeta looked at each other in confusion for a moment, they both turned back to Ame when he suddenly bolted. Trixy just stood there looking back from Ame to the Two women mouth open in disbelief for a moment before letting out a groan and running after him. Nectar shot Zeta an expectant glance that was followed by a small nod in the direction that Ame and Trixy had run off to. Zeta let out a small sigh as she rolled her eyes before running after them, closely followed by Nectar.

It took a while but they had found Onyx, who was unsurprisingly where they had left him, sleeping.

They had been standing in silence for quite a while now, unsure where to go from here.

“So…Shuid we fight?” Trixy asked the question that was on all of their minds as she looked over to Ame. He gave a shrug in return. Zeta looked between both of them before sighing.

“…You said you work for Naru right?” They both gave a nod in return, “Okay then…We’re coming with you.” She said to everyone else's shock.

“Huh?!” Ame yelped.

Zeta just gave him a deadpan look. Nectar was still staring at her friend with a look of shock. “Aye,” Trixy said, shrugging it off after the initial shock.

Ame looked at her baffled before she opened her mouth again, “ Ainlie If ye teel us why ye wuid want tae” She elaborated in a stern voice.

They all stood there in silence for a long moment before it was broken by a voice.

“Because Naru is my mother.” Zeta said. Everyone went silent.
