Ryan’s eyes widen, his lips curled into a small smile. Myles walked closer to Johan as he took a long drag of his cigarette.

Ryan tried to get up as he winced in pain. He tilted his head slightly as he saw Johan and Myles engage in combat. He needs to help Myles. He fell to the floor once again. His eyes widened as he saw Johan getting sent back to the wall. Blood is flying everywhere as they continue to fight; he sees Johan getting visibly slower. He’s getting tired. Ryan stood up as he leaned on the wall for support.

It’s showtime. Ryan hobbled over to Johan and Myles, who were fighting. A bloody, gory battle. Ryan joins in with his attack, finally overwhelming Johan.

“You used Liver Shot!”

Johan coughed blood—Myles punched him in the face. Myles and Ryan start tag-teaming him; Johan couldn’t do anything. He’s getting tired, and the pain is engulfing his body. Johan’s face is getting scrunched up; his body is covered in black and blue.

Ryan’s back kick connected with his solar plexus. Johan's body stumbled backward as he finally fell down to the floor.

Ryan’s body fell to the floor. He lies on the floor silently laughing. He’s in so much pain; every move is like daggers piercing him. Myles sits next to him, stubbing his cigarette on the floor.

“We did it! We fucking did it! The East is ours!”

Ryan laughed. He looked at his rewards. All this shit was so worth it!

“Reveal…!”

Ryan muttered. He saw the “Diamond Card” illuminating as it slowly revealed its content.

Ryan’s breath hitched in his breath. Usually, he gets fragments of the fighting styles. However, this is different. He gets the full roster of the fighting style. He sat up; he looked at his body. He’s still scrawny. He needed to change; he needed to grow stronger. He’s been doing his special pathway quests, but it doesn’t give any rewards. He’s only doing it for the sake of doing it. He looks at Myles.

Ryan took his hand and stood up. His shoulders slump. Myles picked up Johan’s unconscious body and started to head out. Ryan walked through the door and gasped. There are dozens of students unconscious and beaten on the floor. Myles took them all out while he was fighting Johan before he had awakened. Ryan carefully walked over the bodies; he didn’t want to step on them accidentally.

Ryan reached outside as the sun slowly lowered. It was so beautiful.

“Where are you taking Johan?”

Ryan asked as he quickened his pace to walk next to Myles.

“You’re not going home yet. We’re going to recruit Johan; he’s valuable.”

Myles said as he continued to walk.

“Tell Frank and Kenneth to come. I’ll tell you my address.”

Myles proceeds to tell him his address. Ryan texted Ryan and Kenneth to meet up at the address.

[Few Minutes Later]

They’re at an abandoned warehouse. Johan’s eyes fluttered open; he was tied to a chair with chains on his body. He struggles.

“It’s no use, Johan. The East is ours.”

Ryan said as he walked closer to Johan’s restricted body.

“Tch.”

Johan looked around.

“Join us, Johan. We will protect your territory with our men. We can also take down the South.”

Frank added. Johan looked at Frank and everyone else.

“Fine. Fucking fine, I’ll join.

Johan Katz added to the Party!”

Ryan smiled. He unchained Johan. Johan quickly stood up and sobbed his wrists.

“Geez. What did I get myself into? You have a plan to take down the South?”

Johan asked.

“Yes, I do. Come to our school tomorrow for the meeting.”

Frank added.

“Tch. Fine.”

Johan replied.

[Next Day]

“Alright. To take down Charles Lee. We need to slowly chip away at his territory. However, there are powerful fighters in almost every territory. For us to accomplish this. We need to get stronger. Summer is approaching in 2 weeks. We can train during the summer. Well, you guys, I’ll hit the books and strategize.”

Frank said as he pushed up his glasses.

“That’s the end of the meeting.”

Frank said as he walked to grab his backpack to leave the meeting room.

[Few Days Later]

It was Friday. Ryan is in class listening to the boring lecture. His ears perk up as he hears the word “group project." He hates group projects. He runs his hair through his brown locks. He let out a frustrated sigh. His heart sinks as he hears these words.

“Jaelyn Ruthford and Ryan Anderson, you’re grouped together. This is the last project of the year.”

Ryan’s heart starts beating faster; he fidgets with his pen nervously.

“The project is due on Monday. This is the end of the lecture.”

Ryan gulped.

“So, uh, do we. Well, do I just go to your house or you to mine?”

Ryan stuttered as he looked at Jaelyn. His cheeks tinged with bits of red.

“You can go to my house.”

Jaelyn responded; she tilted her head and smiled. Ryan looked at his desk.

“Okay. Well, uhm, I just need the location.”

Jaelyn proceeded to give him the location of her house.

[Few Hours Later]

Ryan knocked on the door; he was looking around. It’s a normal house, nothing flashy. His attention averted to the door opening. It was Jaelyn.

“Come in!”

Jaelyn smiles; Ryan never entered a girl's house before. Hell! He never even talked to one! Ryan entered; he inspected the interior. He walks through the living room as Jaelyn shuts the door. He stops, his heart beating faster. There was a huge, tall man sitting on the sofa. He had buzz cut-ish black hair.

“Ah. You must be the boy.”

The man said. He stood up, towering over Ryan. Ryan couldn’t help but feel smaller. He tilted his head up and looked at him directly.

“Y-yeah that’s me.”

Ryan stammered out. The man chuckled. He smacked Ryan on his back.

“No need to be so stiff, boy!”

The man sat back down and intertwined his fingers.

“Go along now. Go do your project.”

The man said. Ryan quickly nodded and followed Jaelyn. He glanced back.

“I See You.“

Ryan mumbled; his eyes widened as he saw the system starting to glitch out. It had the text “Error! Error!” Just who’s this guy? Ryan though. This question danced around his mind. He shook his head and entered Jaelyn’s room.

“That boy. That boy has potential.”

Ryan is in her room. Jaelyn sat down and looked at him.

“Don’t mind, my dad. He’s a nice guy.”

Jaelyn said as she smiled. Ryan blushed furiously; he fidgets with his hands.

“Aww. You’re so cute when you blush!”

Jaelyn chuckled softly. Ryan covered his face.

“Let’s just do the project.”

Ryan tried to compose himself.

"Okay, okay then.”

Jaelyn responded. They started to work on the project.

[Few Hours Later]

They finally finished the project. Ryan sighed and stood up. Jaelyn grabbed his arm.

“Let me have your number. So you know. We can hang out or stuff.”

Jaelyn smiled; Ryan blushed again as he took out his phone. He gave it to Jaelyn as she inputted her numbers into his phone. She hands it back to him. Ryan nodded and exited the room. He walks through the halls onto the living room. The man was still there watching TV as his legs were atop a small coffee table.

“You’re done?”

The man questioned.

“Yes, Mr. Ruthford.”

The man chuckled.

“Alright, boy. Go home. It’s getting late.”

Ryan nodded and exited the house. He walks to his house. After a few minutes of walking, He reaches his house and enters. His phone vibrates as he sees a text from Jaelyn.

“Did you get home safely?”

The text read. Ryan responded quickly.

“Yeah, arrived just now.”

Ryan replied.

“Cool! I just want to know if you want to hang out this Saturday. At my house.”

Ryan read the text. His eyes widened. He quickly responded.

"Yeah, sounds good.”

He puts away his phone and enters his room. He plops himself on the bed, his feelings jumping all over the place.

Ryan knocked on the door. Instead of Jaelyn opening, it was Mr. Ruthford.
