Ryan entered the building. People were staring at him.
“Who’s this guy?”
One of the guys asked. He had a smug expression as he walked closer to Ryan. He towered over him.
“Who’s this scrawny boy?”
The guy said while maintaining that smug expression. Ryan tilted his head up to look him directly in the eye.
Thud!
The guy fell unconscious. He fell to the floor, and some blood marked the floor.
“Don’t talk big if you can’t prove it.”
Ryan said loudly. He stepped over the body and scouted the area. The other guys prepared their fists; some took out bats. They all rushed in; Ryan looked at them.
“You used Hook! You used Jab! You used Jab...”
Ryan dodged their attacks while counterattacking; one by one, they started to fall onto the floor. He noticed a pair of stairs. He walked to it as he started ascending upstairs. He opened the door.
“You used Weave!”
Ryan dodged the incoming bat.
“You used Hook!”
He took the guy out in an instant.
“Supercharge Card Activated! Speed increased!
Speed: SS- (Up+)”
Ryan's lips curled into a grin; his awakened card was really handy. He dodged their attacks as he continued to defeat them all in one punch. Ryan defeated all of them except one.
“You must be the leader.”
Ryan asked as he looked at him directly. The man who was leaning on the pool table stopped leaning. He stood up straight as he ran his hand through his black locks.
“Yes. I’m James Brooks.
James Brooks
Ranking: No. 10”
The man said. He walked closer to Ryan, who stood there quietly.
“Cool. But I didn’t ask for your name.”
Ryan simply answered. James stood before him, looking down at him.
“I’m different than these gu—

You used Liver Shot!”
James's eyes rolled back; spit spewed from his mouth as he fell with a satisfying thud.
“You talk too much.”
Ryan took out his phone to post an announcement. He started typing.
“Announcement: The billiard building of the East has been conquered. Please send people to protect the place.”
He clicked the send button. He stashes his phone away inside his pocket.
“Sir! Sir! The West is attacking us!”
A student barged in. Johan looked up, his veins bulging.
“What now? The West? They’re infiltrating our territory.”
Johan stood up from his chair. He puts away the money he was counting.
“I’ll go right now.”
Johan grabbed his leather jacket. He felt a hand on his shoulder.
“Don’t go. It’s not worth it. We need to strategise; we can recover it later.“
Johan turned around and saw his advisor. He stopped to think about the situation. His advisor was right; if he went, it could’ve risked the rest of the territories. He hung his leather jacket away. He sat back down. He clenched a fistful of his grey locks; he sighed.
“Fuck. Fuck. Fuck!”
Johan’s hand slammed the table. His attention averted to the door that swung open again.
“Sir! The South started to infiltrate as well! Charles must’ve acquired information that we are being attacked! Charles sent some of his men to take some of our territory. This is bad, sir!”
The student’s face was sweating. Johan rubbed his temples. This was bad—that cheeky bastard, Charles. Always a cunning little bastard he is.
“Send Team David and Team B to the location. Tell them to bring more men than usual.”
His advisor instructed the student; the student nodded and rushed back, slamming the door. The other student who was present.
“Uh, sir, shouldn’t you also send some of them to handle the West?”
The student asked as he fidgeted with his hand.
“No. We do not know what kind of people the West has. Sending a team can have terrible results or good. It depends. We’re not taking that risk.”
Johan’s advisor responded. He looked at Johan.
“If the West's new leader beat Myles, then he’s stronger than Myles. Also, if they unite into one, they could take ov—“
Thwack!
“Don’t say shit like that. I’m not in the mood.”
Johan cut his advisor’s words. The advisor sobs his cheek as blood trickles down his nose.
“My apologies, Johan.”
Johan slammed his hand on the table. He needs to focus on the South, and especially Charles.
Beep!
“Quest Complete!
Quest: Take Over East’s Territories (0/3)
Reward: Take Over (3/3): Platinum Card”
Ryan looked at the floating screen. He leans on the billiard building as he crosses his arm. He looks slightly down and closes his eyes. He lets out a contented smile. Ryan realized that he had 2 more “Platinum Cards” that he had yet to reveal. One was the takeover quest, and the other one was the recruiting quest.
“Reveal!
Platinum Card!
Title: Stun
Description: If the opponent gets hit by the stun successfully. They’ll get stunned.
Cooldown: Once Per Day.”
Ryan’s eyes widen; this was useful. “Platinum Cards” are really good! He wanted to see his 2nd card.
“Reveal!
Platinum Card!
Title: Do You Believe In Miracles?
Description: Recovers the whole party.
Cooldown: Once Per Week.”
Ryan’s jaw opened; his eyes widened. This card has a long title but a short description. This card was really good. Ryan can heal himself and his party, which can enable him to take out the enemies. Ryan should head back home.
[Next Day]
Ryan is in the meeting room. Frank is in front of the whiteboard.
“Okay. You guys conquered some of the territories of the East. Johan must be pissed. I acquired some intelligence that the South also attacked. This is good and bad. The good thing is that the East’s territory is smaller. The bad news is that the South is generally very cunning. Especially their leader, Charles Lee.”
Frank pushed up his glasses.
“Charles Lee is known to be very cunning. He’s an opportunist; he’ll never back out.”
Ryan raised his hand.
“Shouldn’t there be a North also?”
Ryan asked, his eyebrow raised.
“Nobody knows about the North. It’s a mystery.”
Frank answered.
“We should make an offer with the East. We should unite to take down the South because if Charles keeps taking land. They’re going to start targeting us, which can cause our downfall. Of course, if the deal doesn’t work, we can just take over the East. This is it. Just do what you keep doing. I will update you soon.”
[Few Hours Later]
Ryan finished his daily special quest. He’s on his bed, lying down. He slowly drifts off to sleep.
