Jake Found Pete in the cafeteria chowing down on some noodles. “Hey,” Jake said, “How are you doing Pete? Looks like you are getting settled in well.” Pete swallowed and replied, “Yes sir, this is quite the place you got here.” Jake smiled thinking of everything Alley had brought him and said, “It is amazing. I wanted to ask you though, how about the others, any issues, how are they coping?” Pete thought for a moment, “I suppose there are a few who miss their homes and are unhappy, but for the most part, I think people are happy with the changes. We are safe here and well-fed. There are gardens, entertainment, comfortable housing, and the conveniences are crazy. Did you know that there are machines that clean everything? They even do the laundry, fold the clothes, and put them away. It's just so crazy. Where did this all come from?”
Jake told Pete about the past and why he was here. “So that is the purpose of why I brought you here too. I need help if we are to save the world.” Pete pondered that for several long moments. “I don't know what to say, that is a lot to drop on a feller. What am I supposed to be doing in this plan of yours?” Jake replied, “That's what I came here to talk to you about. We need to build up a resistance. What you have been doing so far but with a much larger scale. We need to gain control of the Continent and grow from there.”

“We can offer the people freedom and a fairer government. I wish to make people's lives better in the pursuit of saving us all. That's the long-term goal. The immediate need is for you to organize the people here now. We will need to make plans for making contacts across the nation to quietly organize splinter cells of agents, to recruit, arm, and organize within their communities. Once we have contingents among the larger population centers. We will activate them all at once to overwhelm the authorities. That will create a window to assault the crown itself cutting off the head of the snake.”
Pete laughed, “You have thought this out.” Jake shrugged, “I have done this sort of thing before. It's standard operating procedure. A house is only as good as its foundation. Remove the support and everything falls. I know this will be a long road, but I know it is worth it.”
