It took a week for anyone to come talk to me again other than Chansey, and to my surprise, it wasn't Looker. He was an elderly man with grey hair and red eyes. Beside him walked an Alolan Pursian. The Pokémon's presence exhumed a lazy power, like the only reason I wasn't dead was because I wasn't worth the effort. The underlying threat being, don't make it worth it. As I watched the pair, I was watched in turn.
"My name is Nanu." the elder spoke as if regretting the need to introduce himself. "And you're Nicholas Frost. The long and short of it is that you fell through an Ultra Wormhole, leaving your previous world behind to end up as my problem."
"Can I go back?" I quietly ask. It was the most pressing question I had.

"No." his blunt reply came swiftly. "You are covered in Ultra Energy. Returning the way you came, while also being a near impossibility, would just see you eaten by the beasts that inhabit Ultra Space."
"Why wait a week to come back?"
"Ultra Energy is toxic to most humans. Add in that it attracts Ultra Beasts, quarantine is the best option. Ultra Energy, or UE, dissipates into the environment or is absorbed by the body. You, unfortunately, have absorbed enough that Ultra Beasts will always seek you out. That means visiting you requires signing waiver forms in the first week and keeping you away from populated areas for a few months. Unless, of course, you have a partner strong enough to fight the beasts off." as he says this, he gestures to the Persian, bringing to my attention his odd watch, before paying more to the Pokémon.
"How strong do I have to be to survive? And what do I do to get there?"
